After that, all I needed to do was say, very quietly, "Birdie, shut up," and he would instantly stop making his 'keet noise. So he was thinking about what he was telling to the bird in the mirror, but he wasn't making any sound at all. My marriage was saved! For another year, anyway. But that was just my practice marriage, so it didn't matter all that much. Where was I? O, now I remember... Maybe that technique would work with a ringneck parakeet. I forgot to say ...at 4 months, in our apartment, I took a green turtle like him. I washed it well and then let it get used to it. but I'm glad he accepted the toy. in October, at 7 months I took a big wooden stick from the mall, where my parents brought Coco home. he also loves the wooden stick. I'm glad he did not reject the things I took. He had a little bunny but broke his ear. Not to mention a cable. But it was not in the socket. He clenches what he sees ... around him. @@Elena-ei4oh just continue to be patient and gentle with your bird. So, he will get comfortable with you. Birds are very smart and curious at the same time. Indian Ringnecks require lots of attention as they are very social birds, so the more you interact with him the more he will be comfortable with you. When their eyes change like that, it means they are either excited, angry or afraid. Play and talk with your bird and he will be happy. Get him lots of toys that he can play with and chew. They like that very much. 🐦🐦🐦

Hi! Yes, Kiwi is a male. Kiwi didn't start getting his ring until around 2 1/2 - 3 years old. It does take time for it to fully develop. Is your birdie talking yet? I think he's traumatized where he was before because he's scared. But he already knows what his house means, food, water ... he's curious when I give him something to eat. But he does not bear anyone close to him. He still does not tell his name ... but the child (Copilul) and chicken (Pui) like to say. We are from Romania.
He kiss the mirror, talking to the mirror ...
it gets angry and scream ... I do not understand why. I think he was traumatized. Poor baby😔.
Sometimes changing his eyes when he speaks to the mirror. it's so beautiful and so scared ... So cute. ❤️
I had a little girl who died this year. was about 10 years old. was like my baby 😭
I noticed that when we eat, eat with us. He love the apple very much. ❤️ I wish from my heart not to be so scared when I am very close to him. But I can stay at a short distance from him.
He clenches what he sees ... around him.
But it's adorable ... my little baby. 🙂 🐦
Aww so cute❤️
Is your kiwi male or female?
I've been told mine is a male although he looks the exact same (without a ring on the neck).. He's still 1 and a half though, could that be the reason why he doesn't have a ring?
Hi! Yes, Kiwi is a male. Kiwi didn't start getting his ring until around 2 1/2 - 3 years old. It does take time for it to fully develop. Is your birdie talking yet? They say most of the male Ringnecks are talkers but my female talks too. I'd say give it some time. He will get his ring soon enough. Thanks for watching! 😊🐦
@@kiwigreen Oh I see.
No, mine doesn't talk only screams 😂 I'm working on it though I always talk to and around him. Many thanks for the quick reply! ☺️❤️

Mine has his own iPad mini he uses all on his own. It sounds like yours is saying Mary or something. What is that word in reality?
That's cool! Kiwi loves to talk whenever I pull out any mobile device. He is saying hi Barbie.
