Did Siruis figure it out? If so, would it be too much trouble to edit this video to show it? (BTW, just heard about this bird species on a segment today on National Public Radio, in America. Which is why I looked at this video, and it was ever so slightly disappointing!)
Oh no, we're sorry and sad that our video disappointed. Sirius did figure it out. We left him with the kong for a few hours so that he could spend the time working out to get the tasty treats from within. I'm afraid we didn't film all of this to be able to share it but we do regularly film enrichment with Sirius and our other birds so there are some other videos on our channel that might be of interest.
I'm not sure *I* would be able to figure that kong out if I didn't have thumbs. Are you finding more traffic to your caracara videos now that there's a new book out about them?

We haven't noticed a great change yet but fingers crossed it will result in a lot more interest in these fascinating birds!

Just don't show Sirius where the bathroom is. Striated Caracaras love to play with toilet paper.
