Gabe I downloaded that jim drones pack and every option I try to upload the pack it wont register. After I extract it from the zip file it doesnt register like Jeremy's red means recording. Any help from anyone?

Does anybody know how I can transfer drum samples from my OG Circuit to my new Circuit tracks? I've had a look in components and there doesn't appear to be any way to export ogC samples as either individual wavs or .syx files that can be read by The CT. Some ogC packs come with individual samples and/or .syx files but there doesn't appear to be an option in Components to import ogC samples to the CT. Please help as I actualy like the default drum sounds that came with the ogC and the drum sets of certain packs. Seems odd how I can transfer individual patch .syx files but not samples....?
I pressed the backup, then I changed everything and now I don’t know where my backup is, should I have saved the sessions myself after pressing the backup button?

I've watched several of your video's about loading my own samples into my circuit tracks and i've still yet to be successful. You tend to be quite fast, i struggle to keep up with you even if i keep going back a few seconds. I can get into Components no problem but if i remove some factory samples that i'm not keen on and replace them with mine, then send them to circuit tracks they don't appear in the synth(s), or drum samples. My samples are wav files, mainly drum hits or short drum loops, i seem to be spending more time trying to work this sample issue out, than actually producing tracks. I have an Electribe2 that i can import samples into no problem but i just can't get my head around Components. Easy when you know how. Cheers. 🎼🎹

Ive just tried this for the first time and this vid helped a lot, im still confused as to how im supposed to be adding 68 samples into either synth1 or drum 1 which only have 34 samples each? And how do you choose where the samples are going, as in synth 1, 2 or the drums tracks? I just see 68 or whatever samples.
If you go up and down octaves, you can access *all* of the drum samples from either drum 1 or 2. All four drum tracks get the entire pool of 68 samples.
Can you do a vid on how to export song not Through Midi steams but just export it or save it to wave I’m just not sure how to get it off of the machine for the circuit tracks

You are so fast and advanced. I just want to add some sounds onto the pads from my external hardware synth. I have no problem doing this with the 404 but just am lost with this. I can hear my keys through the Circuit, which is a start but just cannot seem to get it to record into the unit. Can anyone help?
It depends on which Circuit you're using. The original can't do this, and the Tracks can only pass sound through it, not record. If you have the Rhythm, you CAN do this, and I did a dedicated video on how: ua-cam.com/video/Ujpx3BP1hnU/v-deo.html

So after you added your custom samples and sounds and load onto your Circuit, can you then save that entire setup under a new name so that you can always load that setup on a future date?
How do you create samples? How do you create patches? What kind of files does Novation accept? Where do you make such files? I would like to be able to access the samples and patches as files to be edited elsewhere. Can I do this?
Answered some of my own questions. Samples are .syx files that have to do with MIDI streams. There is no audio involved as near as I can tell. Patches are wave files, .wav. You can access the existing WAV files in your Circuit Tracks by clicking "New Pack" on the left in Components and selecting "Get Pack ..." in the Get started menu. Pick one and it will load it. Once loaded you can choose Samples in the menu for the parts of the pack and you can Save it in the Save menu on the right which gives you the option of saving the Samples. The whole collection is downloaded as a ZIP file. You can access the WAV files there.
Gabe, what kind of SD cadr you use? There is an issue with loading packs to the circuit tracks what a lot of people have (circuit always start loading packs and after an average 30 secs crash). Have you ever same problem? Thx
I haven't had that problem fortunately, but I did do a dedicated video on loading sounds / using Components for the Tracks. Double check that the card isn't too big (some hardware devices can't take SD cards bigger than 32 GB) and that it's formatted to FAT-32.
At the moment, you have to drag each individual patch and sample in. Packs are different formats. I really hope someone develops a way to convert them, but in the meantime, that's the workaround.

You can't use a micro SD card with the original Circuit. For the Circuit Tracks, packs are around 5 megabytes, so anything over 200 megabytes (to be safe) should be more than enough. Circuit Rhythm packs hover around 20 megabytes, so anything over 700 megabytes should give you safe margin.

Same, I can't find the date of the 1.8 firmware, but I'm guessing it could be some kind of conflict due to changes by Novation.

Those are sound packs by BoBeats, another UA-cam creator. I believe his packs are on his site as well as Isotonik.

yep! You can download the hole pack to your computer, and/or upload it to your cloud (with your novation account), where you can find it in BROWSE

Random question but what software do you use to record videos like this? I’ve got Microsoft Teams at work that does something similar.
I use OBS (Open Broadcast Software), which is mainly meant for streaming, and gives a lot of control over the inputs and layout. And it's free!

Check out the more recent tutorial I did on Components for the Circuit Tracks, Novation made some major changes that I covered in that video.
