It was super frustrating until it was revealed that court was bad jailor then it made sense and couldn't really blame courtily for doing her job correctly
@@KipTMeven then it was so annoying that town except for skadj didn’t listen to ze and instantly get rid of chilled after he survived a meteor from the conjuror. chilled was immediately proved bad there and town didn’t vote him out.
This list feels like a evil favored list tbh.. but the nuetral pariah are new to then so maybe not. I think once they realize all nuetral pariah are bad maybe
@@kesillix Kara listened. Problem is just that there are only 5 players in this group that is actually good at playing as Town, and a couple of them (like Chilled) were not on their side.

I love that the judge role is just using your powers to drive the whole town directly off a cliff, and then leaving them to deal with it.

Every role was know, Chilled called out that it was an enchanted fake role, and the will said "this will is totally legit", but Em still gaslit herself like crazy.

The whole of the first game was psychological torture for Ze
Chibi’s descent into madness starting at 49:15 absolutely slayed me. 😂
When I saw this game from Ze's perspective and Chilled said he couldn't attack Chibi that night, I thought Chilled meant morally, not game mechanics prevented him from attacking. Oh how naive I was!
Judge is definitely an interesting role. But it probably needs conditions other than "see the town lose". Maybe randomize it so judge wins with a random existing faction, so the whole subpoena thing could be used to find your teammates, after which night chat opens up. For example:
If allied with town, judge can speak with the first town member he found at night, but town member can't talk back.
If allied with apoc or coven, judge can just join their night chat.
If allied with neutrals, judge wins as long as any neutral wins and can speak with the first neutral he found.
If allied with neutral killing, judge wins when only neutral killing remain alive. So if it's judge, werewolf and serial killer left, judge leaves.
If allied with jackals, judge can talk with jackal prime if he finds any of the jackals.
Judge as a true neutral similar to survivor just having to survive would be cool, acting like a game master
@@irecordwithaphone1856 True, even with really high defense, you can still get prosecuted or just voted out because people don't trust your judge claim.
By that logic then all of the neutral pharaohs should have a different win condition although I like the concept of a different form of survivor by instead of sitting there doing nothing you can actually mess up everything for evils and town
Judge is allied with ALL EVILS. They win when Town Lose. Dead or Alive.
@@noahthesk It could also work like a mix of inquisitor and executioner of some sort. Where you have to find a specific random role and hang them, which is where the court comes into play, which you can call once, resetting if target changed. If that role dies, you get a new random one out of those you haven't revealed yet. And if all roles are revealed, you lose unless you found three targets before they died, regardless of whether they got executed or not, then you win and leave town.
Role reworks/New Roles for Better ToS2 (Came out May 3rd)
Warlock (Soul Collector 2): Curse up to 2 players, each time a cursed player votes guilty l, the Warlock gets a charge towards becoming Death, any player a cursed player visits will show as suspicious to investigative roles, they get a passive charge towards becoming Death each night. Can't be a Soul Collector and Warlock in the same game
Executioner: Basically the same as ToS 1 now, but once you Torment someone there won't be a town trial the next day
Coven Leader: Now has permanent Basic Defense. New ability: Morph: Morph another Coven Member into one that isn't currently in that game, you can't morph into a Coven Killing role and can't morph day 1
Marshall: Now has 2 tribunal charges and can only lynch 2 players for each tribunal
Deputy: You can mark a max of two players, at night, you can camp out at someone's house, if a marked player visits, you will shoot them with a Powerful Attack
Crusader: Fortify a player at night, this causes all visits towards the target to fail except Astral and Unstoppable. Can't fortify the same player twice
Illusionist: New ability: Hysteria: Once activated, all investigative roles will receive the opposite result for that night
Cursed Soul: Win condition change: Once you swap with someone, your goal is now for them to die by any means other than lynching, once they do, you will leave town in victory
Results change for Jailor/Starspawn/Crusader: If a player you're visiting are being blocked by these 3, you will now receive a message saying "Your ability has failed due to an unknown obstacle"

I don't think I'm a fan of any of these changes except the cursed soul change. Good thing I don't play the mod myself so I'll still enjoy the videos no matter what changes
I don't think I will ever get used to the ToS roles, they're too many and with complicated rules and win conditions.
@@Alfonso162008 thats because some of those are modded roles. The mod is better tos2, regular tos2 is quite a bit simpler. For most factions its just last one standing, but for neutral roles you just got to fulfill your win condition.

I think the nutral pariah adds to much power to the evils here.
I didn't see the whole session, but maybe replacing 2 of the random towns with town protection slots would balance it more.

Town could win if more people in this lobby actually listened. There is like 5 players (Kara, Ze, Skadj, Apple and Chilled) who actually get how to play and listen to others, the rest are just yelling over each other and going off gut feeling. So many rounds where Town could win, but because half of those 5 players were bad, Town just passively watch as they get killed and obvious bad guys live for more rounds than they should.
I guess adding more town roles can fix this a little, but it's still a cointoss whether that leads to town victories, since it still relies on the better players being on Towns side.

to be fair, 90% of the people still alive knew exactly what happened and that ze was town cursed soul. just of those 90%, 75% were baddies and had their own win conditions that included the demise of town. it was stacked against him no matter what
same, watching from Ze's perspective as a good guy was so infuriating

In a full lobby chilled would have gotten voted for that, but the point of judge is to nerf tpow roles and give evils a better chance to win. This group is mainly in it to have fun though.
I mean, a majority of the reason Chilled wasn't dead on the spot was because no one actually knew what Judge does, despite it taking 2 clicks maximum to know what ANY role does within a game.
Chilled got to say "Oh, I'm the Judge.", then filibuster to kingdom come for 2-3 days, walk out after town gets hung, & let Jackals clean up the rest.
I watched this first from Ze's perspective. I'm so glad I watched Chilled's view too. This was hilarious.
it makes a difference when you’re being listened to. it wasn’t as fun to watch ze’s perspective in your case because he was getting frustrated that no one but skadj was listening to the fact that he revealed his role and explained that chilled had to be bad by surviving a meteor.
@@kesillix this is true. I think seeing it from both sides makes both clips better (and in Ze's case, less frustrating). Courtilly could have helped Ze out by letting him know she was "bad" and it wasn't that he wasn't communicating his innocence effectively. But it did save it for the reveal at the end.

@@kesillix People listened, most people had other win conditions and didn't care a town got put out. Also Ze still seems to fail to understand that grabbing the persons role you actually selected is 50/50. Like hes been told like 5 times in several sessions and still doesn't seem to grasp it because his first few times using it were in his favor.
This was one of the first games judge was played, so pretty much none of them knew he was against town and thought it was just neutral. They should know now, that if someones revealed as judge that they need to go asap, even bad guys. The sooner you get judge out the better (less info they'll have on everyone).
The frustration from zes pov is understandable but it should make sense if you have the info thats presented to you.

@@Sybato It's a neutral role that benefits from other evil roles. Throwing them out is throwing away your win condition, whether the game counts them as your teammate or not. The only exception is Arsonist if you believe that having them ignite you would increase the chances of town winning. And I don't know what you're trying to say with the other half of your sentence.

Either in a Gartic Phone or Codenames game I think Jeremy or someone made a joke about where was Courtilly on January 6th, it's been a running joke for the last year

I think they started talking about politics before a game and courtillys political views were mentioned as red hat or something, and it became a running joke about January 6th.
@@Alfonso162008 IIRC it was this year. They had a game scheduled for Jan 6th 2024 but she had to miss it, so it started with that but then they made it about THE January 6th from 2021, which she was totally uninvolved in.
@@clay9617 oh, this is the first time I've seen mentioned that scheduled game she missed. The first time I've seen them joking with something like that is from a Codenames session uploaded on Chilled's channel on February 6th (I looked it up earlier today because it was bugging me not remembering when it was lol), and I've seen them mention a Secret Hitler game they planned to play on Jan 6, 2021 that they decided to cancel because of the events, but never about that session you mention that she missed. If that's true, then I definitely missed whatever that stream was 😂

I think the judge is a fun roll to maybe put as certain in game , considering the role list to balance it more I think 1 less coven and , change the certain jester to neutral evil, 1 random town less in exchange for 1 town ivest and extra 1 town protect, 1 less the neutal special for all any.
maybe no coroner in town pool for ti,the neutral evil ad town special swing the game in certain ways while the all any helps to bring varaity in the long run, 3 covens a neutral apocalipse, jakas appeare and start beytraing people and stuff.

Only thing that bothered me was Court playing dumb about actual game mechanics. And watching from Ze’s perspective was waaayyyy more frustrating
How often does town even win with these lobbies? It's not even a 7v7 at the start, it's a 8v6 because one of the townies is jackal. It seems so impossible for town even with no one dying for 3 nights straight. All the different bad guy factions just look the other way and team up, and they're all able to kill and vote out town one by one, meanwhile town's got at most one killing role and one or two town power roles to combat the 8 bad guy votes.
That Judge game was so frustrating from Ze's perspective.

It is a massive shame they do this over voice, as it completely destroys the entire purpose behind the Judge role, where all chat becomes anonymous and hides the identity of all evil roles calling to each other on who to go for, they definitely need to come up with a way to honour the intended way of playing with Judge if they don't put it on the ban list
I mean, it's not like everyone says out loud who they've voted for, and they can still type in chat if they want to communicate to their team
@@tylerprince6371A lot of the problem they have in this game deals with the fact it is supposed to be a text game. Filibustering is much harder to do when typed. A good example is Vikram. He might be taken a lot more seriously if this typed but when he talks everything turns jester. Also the role changes need to be balanced so town can win. Executioner was balanced as is it doesn't need to punish town.
after game as the first one i rly begine to think some matches are scripted just for the vievs for different streamers... "day 3 - town: hey, we discover person whos job is to execute every town member, let's leave him so he would plot to throw us out so we would lose. rest town: good plan, lets just play like headless chickens!" :/
