🥢 PRINTABLE RECIPE - soupeduprecipe...
This Chinese stir fry green bean recipe is often found in sichuan provence. We call it gan bian doujiao [干煸豆角]. The green beans infused by all the seasoning combination, it is really flavorful even though we didn’t put that many seasoning. It is definitely worth a try.
🥢 RECIPE - Note: The product links below are affiliate links. I may earn a commission if you purchase an item on a linked website within 24 hours.
- 400 grams of green beans or snap beans
- 30 grams of dried shrimps
- 3 ounces of ground pork
- Some dry chilies [[Amazon Link: geni.us/hmTd]]
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp of minced garlic
- 1/2 tbsp of minced ginger
- 1.5 tbsp of soy sauce [Pearl River Bridge Natural Brewed Light Soy Sauce: geni.us/wABlLXf]
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- First, Soaked 30 grams of dried shrimps for 30 minutes. Drain it and roughly minced it. It is optional ingredient, I like to use it because It adds that shrimpy flavor to the dish.
- 400 grams of green beans. Take off the tip of the green bean, pull off the fiber as much as you can and break it into half. A good substitution is this long beans.
- Heat up the wok a little bit, you can do this with a large saute pan as well. Add 1 tbsp of oil. Just add in the long beans.
- Stir fry it for 5-8 minutes on medium low heat. What we are looking for is the skin starts burning, like some of it is doing here
- Add a pinch of salt. Because if you add the salt at the end, the meat will take most of the sodium so the green beans doesn’t get that much flavor. By adding a pinch of salt now, will be easier to control the balance.
- take the green bean out and set it aside.
- Add 1 tbsp more oil into the same wok. Put in 1 tbsp of mince garlic, 1 tsp of minced ginger, and dry hot chilies. You can adjust the spiciness level ad you like.
- Bring this to fragrant. So it will infuse every thing else. Then go in the ground pork and the minced shrimp, let it cook a little bit. If you are vegetarian, you can just skip this part or use mushrooms and tofu. It is going to cook really fast. So just stir fry for about 2 minutes.
- Add the long beans back to the wok. Put in all your seasoning. 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of dark soy sauce, 1 tsp of sugar, 1/2 tsp of salt. Mix every thing together. You are done...

Spicy ang luto mo# rbcacao
Let me know if you need a husband.
Arismendy Gill 😂😂😂😂
Why do you only use the old-fashioned measurements? What the heck is an ounce or pound anyway? Would be very helpful if you also included grams or kilos in brackets for those in the rest of the world
If you have access to UA-cam, you also have access to Google
@@z6886 What's that supposed to mean?
She. Burnt the beans
You must not know what stir fry means 🤦🏽♂️
You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for your videos.
I’m a little late to the green bean party, but I wanted to share that I made this dish for our American Thanksgiving meal this year (2021). It was a HUGE hit! It’s savory, slightly sweet, salty, spicy, and super well balanced. There was only a tiny bit leftover, and one son claimed it and had it for breakfast the next day.
I have amazing elderly neighbors, and we’ve shared thanksgiving with them for the past few years. Both families contribute, but my neighbor doesn’t really cook and their house is quite cluttered and it’s just hard for them to navigate a meal. So basically, I make 90% of the meal and my kids bring it over to them. We are very happy to share and be thankful for having them in our lives, and to just brighten their day.
Anyway, they are southerners (their cornbread stuffing was incredibly delicious) and I wasn’t sure what they’d think of blistered green beans with chilies and ginger/garlic, but they absolutely loved it! I gave them your recipe, and now she’s a new subscriber to your channel. Sorry, that was a very long explanation, but it shows us that good food is always a glue that binds us together. I think this is going to be a required dish for our feast every year - and why not? It’s so delicious. Thank you again for sharing the recipe, writing it down for us, showing us each step of the process and giving us the history and cultural importance of dishes. You are the best!! Best wishes for the upcoming new year.
Thx for sharing 💕:) It's helpful deciding if I should give it a try 😊
These videos just keep getting better and better. I find myself checking almost daily now for new ones. great job!
Thanks for watching and liking my videos. New video every Wednesday.
She is Chinese, lives in China. She speaks English better than some American! I like her recipes because she doesn't use MSG like a lot of Asian cooking. Good job young lady! And thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for subscribing.

I am addictited! I just wish my wok looks like yours!
That looks good! But if I ate that many hot peppers it I'd have to plan my funeral in advance, LOL!
I tried this recipe this morning ! My God its so delicious ! Thank you sou much !
Awesome dish, only because I eat Kosher, I used smoked turkey instead of shrimp and pork and it was delicious. You are a fantastic teacher. If you were my daughter, I would be very proud.
Your food looks amazing all the time!!
This is one of my favorite buffet dishes. Im going to make it at home now, thank you! I wonder why a few people are giving this a thumbs down? Is it the dried shrimp? Its optional.
Dried shrimp is optional but it does make the dish much better. Thanks for watching and trying. Will love to hear some feedback from you.
What a great looking green bean dish! I love the fresh green beans combined with the meat...I'm sure you could use whatever meat you wanted and it would still be amazing! Great video Mandy! TFS Keep on cooking girl! Hugs from Texas! : )
Really love your channel!
Thank you. I am glad you enjoy my videos.
Dear Mandy, thank you! Everyone I've tried I have loved (I have nt tried this one yet). I think it's your close attention to detail and your special helpful tips and of course your delightful personality. I am hungry for more :) PS you are beautiful
I love green beans, this is a lovely twist...Chinese style! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you, I'll be making these this weekend this dish right here is the only reason my husband will go with me to the chinese buffet here in town!
Looks healthy and delicious. Thank you
She cute
Great video! You're simply adorable 🥰 and I love your teaching style. Going to check out your other videos now.
I love green beans and I am eager to make this recipe. It may be a bit challenging because I am blind and there is a visual element to cooking them this way, but I am confident I will figure it out.
i can't watch the recipe, she's just too cute
Interesting. I've never used dry shrimp, I need to give it a try. Have a great day 🌤.
If you are vegetarian you can skip this part........so funny. What is pork...a vegetable? :)
I don't like the way you prepare it. It's too westernized.
I do it much better, and I'm not even Asian.
First, the beans need to be cooked in boiling water for about two minutes.
Then I put a little oil in my wok, put in the minced pork, add a teaspoon of Sichuan peppercorn, fry it, toss it in for to get some wok-hei, add garlic, chili, a tiny bit of ginger, a teaspoon of sugar, a teaspoon of douban-djan, a teaspoon of light soy sauce, a teaspoon of oyster sauce, and a ladle of water. I boil the mixture for a few seconds, than add the beans, throw in a pinch a salt, add a spoon of sesame seeds, and toss the whole mixture in fire for a minute or two. Done.

Hi, can we skip the sugar and just use salt only because I don’t like dishes that taste sweet especially in meat and veggies
I just made it and it came out so delicious!Thank you for such an easy and tasty recipe. I love Chinese food 😍
thank you..looking for a recipe featuring green beans...I imagine I can substitute long beans easily.
Meat part is really gross 😷 🤮 . I can’t understand why kill alive animals n eat them n their blood 🩸 then called juicy meat.
I tried your recipes like BBQ eggplants and chilli Chicken are went well. I wanna to ask you as our family always went to eat Sichuan shop near our house. We always order Dry Fried green beans with pork. The taste there got a small pieces salty inside don't look like dried shrimp. May I know that is its Sui Mi Ya Cai or it is dry shrimp itself.
I hope you see this question. I used to order green beans from a really good Chinese restaurant and I asked them what these little grayish bits were in their recipe. They said preserved vegetable. Do you or anyone else have any clues as to what it might have been? Been looking off & on for years now.

In your ad just say only green beans , if says with meat , or seafood I would never watch it. Please be truthful

Love your recipes, could you tell me where to buy the work that you used in this video. Thank you 🙏
Wow,. Like it,.
I have a brand new wok and will be making this lovely dish very soon. Your videos are excellent. Thank you!
LOL! nice that you got a new wok. Make sure you season it well=) If you have any questions about my recipes, let me know=)
Thank you Mandy. Yes I did a lot of research and seasoned the wok to perfection and I think it will get even better with lots of use. BTW, I was looking at some of your other recipes and found out about velveting meat. Wow!!! What a big difference that makes. Thank you!!!❤️
Never thought about adding dried shrimp, I will try that next time.
The dried shrimp makes all the difference. I won’t make this dish without dried shrimp 😁
@@Chewy41915 Yes, I will give that a try. I haven't been about to go to my local Asian market because of the snow. :(
@@walden6272 I’m sorry 🥺. I hope the snow clears up for you soon 🙂
@@Chewy41915 Thanks, it should clear up by next week. :)
@@walden6272 👍
nyamik enak banget
Where can I get a wok like this one that you are using???
Are those dried shrimps have the shells still on them when you chopped them up? And which part of pork did you use? the tenderloin?
the shrimp doesn't have the shell on and you can use most of the cut of the pork such as pork loin, chuck.
Pork and shrimp are so good together.
How heavy is your wok? I have same wok as yours but my food gets burnt very easily. I guess depends on thickness.
Mine is about 14'' and 1.8 kg
Nice way to cook beans, thanks.
Are the shells still on the shrimp?
Good and healthy
When will your book be out?
You are excellent
🌈🌈🌈🌈👍🤗😍👌😊❤️✌️
