Steven Adler has a very unique style. He plays to the music like he wrote the riffs and vocal melodies. He hits all the punches and he’s not flashy, but he adds to the power. Very much like Phil Rudd. And Pascal nailed the nuances again… obviously. Wouldn’t expect anything less from Pascal at this point.
Interested to know how the timing lines up for this. I’m guessing the original by the band wasn’t set to a click. When Pascal plays to the song it sounds completely natural and steady. But when you watch the drums only version you can feel the tempo shift.
He has probably just practiced a lot to the full track with drums, and learned the feel of Adlers drumming. The recording is probably done with the full track, and then afterwards exchanged for the drummless version.

But in the drum only version, it's much more obvious. Not a knock against Pascal by any means. Actually the opposite. Just shows how accurately he nailed the copy of Adler's take.
