- My 2,114th kite video. With a bit more breeze today, we were able to put quite a few items into the air.
Anyone wanting to check out all my "How to..." videos on various aspects of kite-flying can now find them all easily on my Playlist at / jimskitesnz . - Розваги
What a cute sea life display. The little yellow ducklings were down right darling.
Yes, the ducklings are good. Contrary to what some people think, line items don't have to be huge to be interesting!
Very colorful outing.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Sheryl.
Your vids always make me smile 😊 I love kites
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Kites are great!
Thank you for sharing Jim...have a Blessed Day.
Thank you for watching, Craig, and I hope your weekend goes well.
That was a nice display. Great to see Peter out again.
It's always good when Peter joins the fun, Carl, and we are waiting for your next opportunity to join us.
That someone that Peter met could be Santa in disguise. Love your sea life kites and the wonderful nostalgic music. I love music like this.
Going to Sichuan for vacation with wife this evening. Will be there for 2 weeks and I have scheduled 2 videos to be posted later this week as I will be too busy sightseeing to edit or upload any new videos.
Finding suitable music is often the hardest part of making the video! I hope you have a great holiday.
Love it!
Thanks, Evan. And thank you for watching.
Love the 'theme fly'!!.. we've had 3 stellar flying days here..I might have to take today off and get those pesky chores done..lol
Good to know you're having good flying weather. Our good days don't come often enough these days, but it is winter!
Very cool Jim. So fun. Ron
We enjoyed it, Ron, and it's nice to be able to share it with you and other viewers.
Nice video Jim. Great looking display. I always like the sea creatures. Nice lifters too, sad not in production. Thanks Jim
Glad you liked it, Dewey. Yes, it's sad about the UltraFoils and a whole lot more kites from Into The Wind, which were a great loss. Maybe some of them will reappear sometime.
Jim great video. You have sealife in and out of the water😊
We don't see much in the water these days, although we used to get very occasional visits from seals and penguins, and even dolphins once . They seem to have deserted us now - maybe they don't like the competition!
Great activity Jim
Nice fly
Thanks, Juliana - it was fun.
@@JimNicholls our pleasure dear
Great kites flying sir 👍🏼
Glad you like them, Vikram!
is summer in the UK Jim 😆love the vids you have got me back into flying again. One liners like you now but I did stunt kites a long while ago. cant handle the pull anymore
I've never been enthused by two-line (or 4-line) kites, but it's good to know you are having fun now with the single-liners. I hope your summer gives plenty of flying opportunities this year.
The kite colour almost gray..?
I don't understand your question. All of them have a lot of colour and none of them is "almost gray".
Great display, Jim. Although, I do sometimes wonder about how much space all these need at home when not in the air?!Especially when I think you have other giant fish not displayed here?
My kites very kindly allow me a small area of their house in which to live. It's a little cramped, but they don't charge me rent.
Ha ha! I know a little of what you mean. Mine have allowed me to keep a small pair of shoes in their built in wardrobe.
Hi Jim, great looking line laundry. What type of line was used?
David, I always use braided dacron line, and in this instance I used 300lb on the UltraFoil 30 and 200lb on the smaller kite.
What are decent alternatives to the Ultrafoils?
If you just want equivalent lifters, probably the Power Sleds are best value, see: www.pictureprettykites.com/single-line-kites/24-ft-power-sled-illusion/ and www.pictureprettykites.com/single-line-kites/36-power-sled-wave-break/ . Foil kites are dearer, but for a small lifter the Killip Foil 10 is good: www.pictureprettykites.com/single-line-kites/killip-10-foil-kite-rainbow-cubes-with-36-ft-fuzzy-tail/ . Bigger sizes are quite expensive.
