my car in the video, i heard the same about some people with Lokar + no reverse lock out. i have small kids and throw my 130lb dog in the front with me sometimes so i went with the Gennie mainly for the reverse lock out reason. Dont want to end up in R on the highway lol
I have the lokar version of that shifter and it likes to bind up sometimes.

Looks like a great set up. The V8 th350 donor for my car had a Hurst ratchet shifter. Like you said about your 57, wrong vibe.
