- While I'm waiting for the storms and flooded areas in the UK to calm down so I can get outdoors I want to list a few ideas I want to try out in 2024.

HNY Carl, looking forward to the new content sounds interesting. Been off the air since late Nov so I’d say you’re right getting back on sparks the interest again. Winter is always hard though especially if the home qth is compromised and mobile/portable is the preference . I really need to get my finger out and get a full ticket as I’m in NZ on holiday and it would have been fun doing some HF here in NZ.

That Al is a bit sketchy at times but when it works it is great fun and something different to play with. I have never heard of Raspberry shake but it sounds right up my street. I am planning a few more Rally's this year so we might bump into each other and hopefully a QSO too. All the best Carl

happy new yr carl, good to see you again. well, ai , interesting to see your results. iam lucky not to suffer with noise, and ai = another device, iam a one rig one coax type of guy hi, and past tests with rx ants have worked well. with the short bev or log. looks like you got some outdoor space for a vert or a magloop, and a log ant if you have noise, so you don't have to wait for decent wx to get on the air mate, me old pa, always said, wx doesn't stop your legs working.. after 38 yrs of trying most things, i just love to get on the air everyday, and have a chat with the uk guys. I've used the ai filter and is great when it works but alot of the time all it does is give you a high pitch squeal .Great to hear your gonna be out again soon:) happy new year carl

You need to do hf off the top of Snowdon. I tried it some time ago with an handheld it was amazing i got the train up and down but you need some good weather
Some great info on stuff I haven't come across elsewhere, so thank you! I'd be happy to be proved wrong, but I suspect AI noise removal will struggle to work in real time? Cloud stuff is interesting, there's scope to translate in close to real time too - so e.g. Russian broadcasts can be 'subtitled' if like me you're not a speaker.
HNY Carl. Nice video Carl. That AI noise removal sounds interesting. I am just about to start on a whole new wave of training videos, and I am wondering is there are easy to use audio (AI) plugin that would remove outside traffic noise etc. I use Adobe Audition at the moment but I am sure there must be better and cheaper alternatives now. Sorry But I don like AI tech.we can all coneckted on internet and that it's no it any more. I have A class license and liveing "old school" and if you ask me this is not it any more Ham shacke from old school. Ssb,cw ok let it be rtty But this is it. My apinione. It's nice to have some iss contackt or just recive it But for me is 1.5kw on shake and ft-8 siste not any more old school the same hobby. I'm a little bit sad becouse of this things.A like make antennas and playing with material.. Wreally i'm a lil bit sad becouse of this things. 73 and good luck for everyone ..and happy new year 🎉🥳
