Oh my last time I was in Palma Nova it was 46 years ago, Hotel Honolulu. I was 6 months pregnant and it was April. I’ve been in other places in Majorca since, haven’t been back for 20 years, but may think about it.thanks Kevin
The large hotel in front of you is The Santa Lucia. Nice hotel but poor food.
Palma Nova has always been a family resort. It has lost three of its main bars in the last couple of years, as they closed down. Not a lot of nighttime bars, but I liked the resort.

Last time I was in palm nova was 26 years ago with the kids,think it was hotel mimosa park,I remember it wad a good hotel😊
Nice video, explains how close the madness of the Magaluf strip is to Palmanova and the lovely quiet bars and restaurants. Even the beach bars and restaurants in Magaluf are very nice and not as wild as the media would have you believe. Cc @mallorcaunderthesun

Magaluf is very family friendly now, just like it use to be. Plenty of bars family friendly away from the strip, not just near Palma Nova.
Faliraki “died” after several incidents involving Brit tourists ably assisted by the rise of All Inclusive hotels. Club street lost all the decent restaurants and most of those on the main road. The “sling shot” was left on the ground rusting for years along with half finished accommodation. Nothing worth seeing there now!

Magaluf has had a bad reputation in the past, from what I’ve seen on your videos it’s very tame these days, even on the strip. For the wild parties you should go to Playa de Palma - still wild there

Kevin, the Son Matias hotel is where we have stayed for over 35 years, it really is very good, ask Alex, as you walk past you are able to buy from the pool bar, now, if you’re peckish you must try the hot dogs it’s the only place in Palma Nova they are available give one a go.
Met lots of people staying there they all loved it
don't be put off! full of families, loads of "family Bars" Bars?? not even school holidays, put me off right away. I might be an old fuddy duddy but had many bad experiences on flights and hotels with unruly "families" using bars without a thought for anyone else, only afford 1 week a year now so want some "me" time.
