I’m glad you left all the ‘mess ups’ like how you didn’t know what the right words were to use and how you looked up the right definitions. It shows you’re human and leaves room for everyone else to not have to feel like they have to be perfect as well.

I 'googled' octopus and found this "The New Oxford American Dictionary (3rd Edition, 2010) lists "octopuses" as the only acceptable pluralisation, and indicates that "octopodes" is still occasionally used, but that "octopi" is incorrect." who knew, right? Also. the suction cups are called 'suckers'. I love your videos and am so excited about these sea creatures....absolutely cannot wait for the sea turtle!!!!! Thanks for all you do.... Heidi

I painted this just about a year ago. I had only been painting for a couple of weeks and didn't feel ready for a "real" project, but a friend requested an octopus, and since he was one of the first people to encourage me in my painting, so I searched for "watercolor octopus tutorial" on UA-cam. I'm so glad I did. Not only did he LOVE the gift, but that's how I found LMA! I've learned a lot from you guys over the past year, painted some beautiful projects, and had a lot of fun doing it.
Even better, though, is that Sarah's kind and accepting approach is helping to boost my "nice voice". I am VERY comfortable being bad at things as a beginner, but once I get to the competent phase, my "mean voice" starts telling me that that's not good enough, and I should be excellent, if not perfect. It's completely unreasonable, and I know myself well enough to recognize when that's happening, but it still takes work to not believe it. It is really helpful to hear Sarah's voice saying "I'm not mad about it" or "It's just a piece of paper. If you don't like it, you can just throw it away!"
That makes perfect sense. We are so happy to have even helped a little bit. Thank you so much for painting along with us.

When i was in college a few years ago our professor who did research on these animals told us how biologists recently decided the plural form was octopuses not octopi. Thats the only thing i remember from that man lol

Is there any way y’all can put up the correct outline? For both the octopus and the jellyfish, the unicorn outline shows up ☹️
The octopus must be correct now - I just printed mine out... There is no outline for the jellyfish - it's free form

we could always find a coloring page similar until they get it fixed... I found some very similar to her drawing out there...
@@DarlaRenee if you watch the jelly fish one there is no outline..but yes the website is not right.. and no supply list on either one yet too.. but they will catch on I hope LOL
