This project needs to be shared and recognized as a masterpiece because everything is phenomenal... They were both perfect... V in 5 minutes was more of an artist than many who are earning millions for much less and both he and IU deserve it more recognition... beautiful!

IU's voice sounds majestic and their acting felt so real. Glad that IU asked Tae to shoot the MV with her. Both of them are well respected in South Korea for being true to their craft and their kind personalities. These two were given National Titles by the Korean Media and netizens. IU "Nation's Sweetheart" and Tae "Nation's Treasure". Can't wait to see them acting together in a series. Thank you for reacting to IU's song.

Thank you for your genuine reaction. Don't worry about not being able to say a single word, your emotions were enough. There have been a dozen theories about what the MV, & song, is about. At face value & at first impression, we can all see that the story setting in the MV is some kind of dystopic apocalyptic science fiction situation. If we took it at this face value, then for me, the cubes could be some kind of hostile extraterrestrials, or it could even be our own A.I. that had finally awoke & was now taking over. The latter would indeed be highly topical because that is one concern that many have been talking about in recent times as to how much further & faster are we delving into A.I. Metaphorically, some people were saying this could all be about how a couple stays together for life, finally aging & death takes them, in where the cube represents death. Thus no matter how you try to run away from it, or fight it like what V was trying to do, death is eventual & guaranteed. The pile of clothes then represents all others who have passed away. Another theory is that this represents some discrimination we have to fight throughout our lives, which someone said that is the original intent of the MV & the director, but I think the death by old age seems more like a good fit. Anyway, good reaction.

IU is a very unique singer and is known as a national treasure in South Korea.
She encountered financial difficulties in her family when she was a child, so she determined to become an "adult" who could support her own life earlier. Because she likes singing, she decided to be a singer. She hoped to connect the hearts between "I and YOU" through music with emotions, so she took the stage name "IU".
Originally, she wanted to be a traditional ballad singer when she debuted, but because too young, she did not gain much attention from the public in that time(when she is only 15).
Later, the entertainment company tried to package her as an idol singer and achieved great success (in the year she was 18). But when she became very popular with the public at the age of 21 with her beautiful appearance and cheerful personality, she decided to regain her original ambition and embark on a completely different path from ordinary Kpop......She remake songs more than 20-years-old, and re-introduced the popular culture of the previous generation to the younger generation, and received a very good response from public.
From then on, Koreans no longer viewed her as an idol with only a sweet image, but instead viewed her with respect as a real "artist of music" who contributed to popular culture.
In additional to her famous angelic voice just like moonlight, she is also known for her versatility and is an award-winning singer, music producer, lyricist, also a top-tier actress and model. She has many popular songs written by herself.
Because she has held the belief that "love will eventually win" for many years, she wrote the lyrics and produce the project herself, and specially asked the film director she had collaborated with to film this MV.(The directer wins the 2023 Blue Gragon Cinema Award of Korea)

The cubes are trolls/ media. In the MV, she is deaf/mute, he is partially blind - it may seem there is no fathomable way these two can understand each other. This video is dedicated to artists, great Korean idols. The cube represents the Korean music and film industry, where every artist is under threat of social pressure, where one wrong move can ruin their careers, where they can be intimidated by the media and end their lives, living under stress and constant fear. Through the lens of a video camera, artists, idols of many, are beautiful and happy, but in real life they are very vulnerable. The Industry sucks all the juice out of them and then throws them away as if they were old and unnecessary clothes. In South Korea, the big music lobbies have a way of treating artists that is scary. If they see that they are good and successful, they take everything and more out of each of them, becoming ruthless. But when they have been exploited to the point of exhaustion, they leave them aside like broken toys. More than one artist has ended up committing suicide. Everything is very sad. At its end the trolls/ media come to consume another artist and fandom and discard it like a pile of clothes and IU is ready to fight but V (the fans) steps in front of her to defend her and their bond, but they are met with a bitter end. A sad reality every artist must face someday. She sheilds V's good eye to protect him from the inevitable. .😭😭😭😭
Stop spreading exaggerated, racist stereotypes about Korean society. Your weird and obsessive mission to spread toxicity about a culture and an industry you do not understand made you miss the actual beautiful themes and meanings in the video. YOU ARE THE CUBE. It is sad for us that such a masterpiece has such a heartbreaking ending.
But at the same time, we are very lucky...because only when the producer, director, lyricist, composer, singer, and actors all work together perfectly, then we can meet such a masterpiece. And IU accounts for four-sixths of them herself(producer, lyricist, singer, actress).
By the way, if you feel sad about this MV and hard to get out, let me tell you a little funny story about IU.
About 4 years ago, when IU released the new song "Blueming", many fans asked her to teach them how to make fanchants.
