I just realized I made a mistake in my First Impressions video, I had the EQ settings reversed. It was the "GAME' setting that was very vivid and fatiguing when listening to music. NOT the "music" setting. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
The Megatron does have a lot more power, but I do like having a volume control. For a very hard to drive planar headphone the Megatron will sound better. For easier to drive headphones the UNO would be my choice.
Thanks for the review William. You should really compare it to Topping DX1. They are both in the same category (budget mini hp DAC/Amp, below $100, released in 2022)...

No! Please don't waste your money on this. I have one and plan on returning it as soon as I receive the call tag. The EQ DOES NOT make any difference in sound or quality of sound. The treble is terrible. very tinny. Like your standing in a steel building with no sound deading material. Remember ifi sent this unit to the audio journalist for an unhonest opinion.

@@theheadphoneexperience-wil2250 I contacted ifi about the issue here's their response "We do not have software to run on APPLE products". So their products work for substandard software such as Windows/Microsoft. That would explain why DJs use Apple Mac books. Apple has a software format to support music of all types.

Hi Will. Can you tell me wich one is better Ifi Uno or IFI Zen Air DAC?
The AIR dac has the Bass boost, and the UNO has the EQ. The UNO is also much smaller. The sound seems to be similar.

I would consider both to be adequate for the HE-400SE. The 400SE does love power.

Mine unit also, crack sound when goes EQs and no difference between music EQ and no EQ + crack pop sound when i skip videos in youtube (player)
