Just a quick tip courtesy of Bill - It's possible (and faster!) to just drag the PixelMath straight onto your images without opening them first! Thanks for watching! 😀 - EDIT: just wanted to add I'm really sorry for all the people who's comments keep disappearing so I can't reply :-( it's a long standing issue now on every video!
Thanks Luke for sharing this. And you are right, what makes this existing process even faster is to just drag the icon over the image to create the mask, then drag over the convolution icon to blur, so you don't even need to open the math process itself, unless you need to modify a setting. The color mask script itself is an awesome tool and special thanks to it's creator. I wanted a way to have short cuts to the masks and pixel math icons and was a method of doing just that, plus simplifing the math. I have a lot more pixelmath processes to come which I will continue to share; the next one will be star reduction as you also mentioned and I can't wait to get that out for others to use and test
Thank you again Bill, both for sharing these amazing tools with the community and for giving me the opportunity to share your work!! :-) Clear skies! 🙏
Thank you so much to you and Bill for sharing it ! I just start with Pixinsight and this set of masks is definitely a game changer, great improvements and make it so easy too, thanks !!!
Thanks Luke will try these out. As we know and weather here been shocking in December think I have had one partial night so far, so new editing tips and tricks are very welcome 🙏
Hey Simon! - I'm hopeful that you'll have a great time with the tools mate, hopefully it will make these endless cloudy nights feel a bit less glum haha 👍👍 Thanks for watching buddy!
Looking forward to trying this out on some older data this weekend since it's looking like nothing but rain for the next week. Thank you for posting these .

Hey Russell! Hope you're well mate :-) The tools are brilliant to use in my opinion, and have made certain processing tasks so much faster and easier for me! Thanks for checking it out matey!!
I just reprocessed an older image of M51 that looked washed out and all I can say is, "WOW". A few passes with a blue mask got the main body of the galaxy to pop and then a few passes with the yellow mask got the tail looking really nice. Much improved. I really like what I have now. As a test, I did the same thing using the color mask script already in PixInsight, and I found that I like the result I got from Bill's Processing icons much better. Thank you for sharing!
Heya mate! - That's just great to hear, thank you for stopping by and letting me know it turned out so well for you! :-) I hope you continue to enjoy them!
That's wonderful to hear my friend! :-) I'm hugely enjoying the control they offer, no way I'll go back to processing without them! Thank you for watching and giving your support 🙏 Clear skies!
That look awesome Luke, I’ll be downloading those files later mate, huge thanks to you and your friend Bill👍 Great video & well explained! Clear skies Luke

Luke, have tried a few times, but although I can copy from Drive, every time I drag ColorMasks icon to PI it doesn’t work, says it has to rename conflicting identifiers etc, kr Ian
Hey there Ian! - it sounds like you'll have to go through your workspaces to find the icons I'm afraid, or you can right - click and compile them all, hopefully this helps you out! :-) Sorry about the faff around mate 👍
Hey Steve! Hope you are well mate :-) They're wonderful tools and I really hear what you're saying about him giving away his work to anyone, very kind 👍👍 Thank you for watching, as always mate!
Seasons greetings and best wishes for 2022!! I have just downloaded and immediately tried out on my M45 blues. Absolutely brilliant and pretty straight forward to use and saves a ton of fiddling around with range masks and colour saturation/curves, etc. Thanks to you and the developer, 👍👏👏!!
Thank you so much!! - I'm over the moon to hear it's working great for you! 👍👍 I appreciate you taking the time to let me know how it went, thank you for watching and sharing! All the best, and wishing you a happy new year! :-) Luke
Brilliant video Luke. I use colour masks pretty much on every single image so for me this looks an awesome tool. Really good of Bill to share this with the channel and as usual top notch explanation. So pleased I moved over to pixinsight this year as a result of your videos.......outstanding again Luke 👏
Thank you Paul! :-) I feel the same about PixInsight, I put it off for way too long, now I'm used to it somewhat I could never go back!! Thank you for watching mate!
Hi Luke. If you are open to suggestions, I would love to see a comparison video on Unity gain (100) vs. Zero gain on your ZWO camera. I recently ran an experiment where I ran two 12 minute subs in Hydrogen Alpha at 720 seconds (one at unity gain, the other at zero gain). To my surprise, the zero gain image had more detail and the same amount of noise as the unity gain sub. Now, I’m wondering if others would get the same results.
Hey David! - that sounds like an interesting suggestion, thank you! :-) I'll take a note and see about adding it to the list of things to-do, I'm sure plenty of people would like to see gain explored 👍👍 All the best, Luke
Thank you Antoine! - They're a real quality of life + time saving goldmine! :-) Thank you for watching and Merry Christmas to You, Dalia and Gilbert! :-D All the best, Luke
Hey Luke - These look like they will be extremely useful, I've used the basic masks a bit but these look so targeted. Thanks for making these available, and thanks Bill too. Top stuff as always pal and btw that audio is 👌
Hey Ollie! - hope you are doing well mate :-D yeah I have to say the masks just change things totally for me, you have basically total control over what you wanna do with an image, it's crazy! Thank you by the way re: the mic! A worthy upgrade and funded thanks to all my lovely UA-cam members! :-D Clear skies man!
Hi Luke, great video and excellent tools produced by Bill. They work brilliantly and have re-run some older images and the result is amazing, Tools are also very easy to use for an old-boy who is not too computer savvy. Thanks again, looking forward to Bill's next productions, will they appear on you UA-cam site?
Hey Alec! That's brilliant to hear mate, thanks for letting me know they are working good for you! :-) I believe Bill is still working on the other tools by the way, hopefully will know more soon! Thanks for watching and clear skies! 👍👍
Hi Luke, not too sure what happened to my first posting on here, can’t seem to find it.Hopefully this will reach you.Thank you for sharing this and Bill for making it available.Good timing for me as I’ve downloaded the Pixinsight free trial recently and have been very slowly getting to grips with the basic OSC processing.A big step up from SiriL but results have been great from some of my old data. All the best,Merry Christmas and wishing you clear skies for 2022.Cheers!
Hey there Jon! - My apologies about the first comment mate, it seems people's commentary has been disappearing randomly for a long while now! :-( I'm glad to hear you're giving PixInsight a go my friend, it really is the best program I've used for astro images by a country mile - confusing to get started with though, or at least it was for me! Thank you for watching and all your support mate!! Wishing you the very best for Christmas and the new year! :-)
First off they are beautiful images already , thx for the video... Now if I can only learn how to get a good flat image where it does not leave a circle in the middle maybe I can get better images
Thank you Steve! - I really hear you about Flats, I struggled with them for a long time I'll be honest! A major point for me was making sure all light-leaks were sealed, and getting the light source right, an led tracing panel does the job for me :-) Hope you get on top of it soon mate! All the best, Luke
My hat off to you for the video and Bill for his coding skills! As a one layer in GIMP type of guy, every move made can be a compromise, e.g. bringing up the blue channel for galaxy arms can bring the blue channel up for the background unless you use some little tricks, but when I see you simply apply a colour mask to just one component of an image with out it messing with everything else it kind of makes me wonder what I'm doing with my life lol p.s. love the mic setup!
Hey Chris! Hope you and yours are doing well my friend :-) I really hear what you are saying haha, it can be disheartening in an almost comedic way to see how easy things can be in dedicated software vs more broad-use packages!! Thank you so much for watching, as you always do mate 🙏 I appreciate your support!
@@lukomatico It's been a rough week in all honesty mate. The kids have been home with COVID this week and I tested positive this morning after a rough night. Still managed to do a full weeks work some how (I work from home now of course). I'm just trying to edit at least a short video together from last weeks footage but I don't think it will be my finest work lol I honestly don't know how you manage such quality content nearly every week, it's amazing mate :)
Oh heck mate, it never rains but it pours eh? :-( I hope you are all recovered and healthy as soon as possible mate! I'm sure whatever you put out will be quality and we'll all be thankful for your time and effort!! :-) Thank you again mate, you've always a kind word 👍
Luke Great job explaining the process, I'm just learning Pixinsight, My Question I'm using a RedCat 51, Using a L-Ultimate filter and ZW0 2600mc pro. When I do California Nebula It's Mostly Red, Do you have a video explaining how to get the colors you have on your California Nebula in this video? let me know tks so much.
I recently found your YT channel and the processing tutorials helped me to take PI images to a different level. I downloaded Bill's color masks and attest that they all work exceptionally well except the Red Mask. The Red mask produces a nearly black image whereas the yellow mask and the others work perfectly. I made a red green and blue PS TIF loaded into PI and yellow and blue picked up their colors and the red was nearly all black. Since I have no way to ask other than here, is there an alternative pixel math expression for the Red mask that works? I watched along with you the "OSC Hubble Palette Guide" and followed the steps in PI when I noticed the red mask not working. My appreciation if you see this post, and my sincere gratitude for making the tutorial videos which are most helpful... Thanks CL aka Boswix
Hey there Boswix! - I'm so glad to hear you've found the processing videos helpful, that's wonderful news! :-) RE: the masks - I'm very sorry to hear that you've had some issues with them and I appreciate you taking the time to create a test too! - In my own personal experience the only time you get a pretty much black mask is when there's no/low levels of the selected mask's colour available currently in the image, - you can still use an otherwise wrongly coloured mask as long as the overlap in colour is workable - for example using a yellowmask to manipulate red tones instead :-) I'll mention to Bill about this comment and see if he's got any idea what's going on for you mate! All the best and thanks so much for watching!
Tried installing these last night and they're not coming up on screen. Will try again later though. You're images are getting better and better. Great work and always look forward to your next project.
Hi James, thank you for the kind words my friend! :-) I'm sorry to hear they are not coming up on screen - it could be the same issue as a few others have been experiencing, where they do load in but are off the edge of the workspace, so you need to scroll across to the right to find them once loaded :-) Hopefully that's the issue and it's all fine for you mate! All the best and good luck!
Hi Luke, How can i become the download file of this colormasks please? Is their somewhere where i can download them? Thank you for your response greetings from Tino of Belgium
Luke, I came across your colormask video yesterday and subscribed and joined your group straight away. Having watched the video I followed your instruction to click the video description to gain access to the colormask process icons. However clicking the title or anywhere else for that matter doesn't get me into your google drive. Probably me being stupid, but can you assist me to get access to these impressive tools. With thanks, PH.
Hey there Peter! - I'm very happy that you've joined my channel members mate, that's fantastic! Thank you so much for giving your support like that :-) Regarding the tools themselves, - this is a personal link for you to try: drive.google.com/file/d/1Ak0L_ANsdPM5G4mzwuF0YMM8J_PH9qmL/view?usp=sharing you'll need to click the little download icon in the top right toolbar, it should look like a page full of text. If that does not work, then fire me an email at lukomatico@hotmail.com and I'll send them over directly that way for you! I hope that helps! :-)
@@lukomatico Luke, thanks for the link, I now have the color masks installed! Looking forward to using them on my next project. To manipulate individual colours so easily is great - it was a real faff before this (and I never got it right!) PH
Do these tools work with the newly updated PI? I have tried to load the process tool and they say they load but do nit show up on the screen. It may be me not doing something correctly.....imagine that!
Hey there mate! - they should indeed work, you may need to rightclick and select 'arrange' icons within pixinsight to get them to show though. Good luck! :-)
Looks great tool and I am very interested to use. One problem is I can not open .xpsm file after download. I am using Mac and PixInsight 1.8.8-11 and .xpm files are recognized but not .xpsm. How can I solve the issue?
Hey there! - I'm sorry to hear you've had some problems installing, - it may be worth directly trying to navigate to the .xpsm files from within PixInsight itself to open them that way! :-) rightclick > process icons > load process icons > navigate to the downloaded .xpsm files > open I hope that helps you! All the best, Luke
I have a Mac and have tried this as well. I can find the file on my computer but it’s not showing up in PI for me. I’ve tried what you suggested, but nothing opens. Any suggestions?
Hello ! your video is awesome ! i just tried but i have an error in the process black window when execute (blue mask), it says : PixelMath: Processing view: voile_final_16b *** Error: Invalid character in expression: // Simple Blue Color Mask E1= 0 ;// Chrominance Mask= 0, Lightness Mask= 1 E2= 1.0 ;// Mask Strength (Range= 0 to 1) //Equations: E3= iif(CIEh($T)
Hey mate I'm so sorry about the late reply! - I can only imagine that something is going wrong with the naming system during mask creation, but I could be totally wrong. Sorry I can't be more help with this one.
Hi Luke I have the same problem with pixinsight . 7 new icons has to be rename due to conflicting identifies. I so many times don't work for me in pixinsight. Please help. Thanks
And as a second suggestion, move through your workspaces me you'll probably find them on another one, this has happened to a few people! :-) hope these help you!
It is not opening with pixinsight , it said "7 new icon(s) had to be renamed due to conflicting identifiers with previously existing icons. Original identifiers have been suffixed as necessary to make them unique". Any Idea
It's likely that they are opening, but just on another workspace - try to open them once on a fresh pixinsight run, then right-click and select all icons, then right-click and arrange all icons, that should bring them into view! :-) Good luck!
Hey there! - I believe if they aren't showing up but the log is showing them as loaded, you may be able to rightclick, select all icons, then arrange icons :-) that may help! Thanks for watching and I hope that solves the problem for you!
I must be doing something stupid - sorry. After downloading the file and attempting to open it with my open copy of Pixinsight, instead of showing up in Pixinsight as yours does, Pixinsight gives me an info window that says: "7 new icon(s) had to be renamed due to conflicting identifiers with previously existing Icons. Original identifiers have been suffixed as necessary to make them unique." With an "OK" button and no icons appearing in my working window. What have I overlooked?
Hey there! So glad you got it sorted out, a few people have had this issue it seems! :-) I hope you enjoy the tools Jeff, I'd love to hear how you get on with em'!
Sorry about the late reply! they should be available in any of my newer tutorials, download the data from the description and the tools will be with them :-) Clear skies!
Hey Paul! - I assume the message about prefixes comes up the second time you try to load them maybe? It could be that the first attempt to drag and drop them is doing the job, but they are just appearing off screen to the right - you'll likely have to scroll across the main screen to uncover them 👍 I hope that's the issue mate! All the best, Luke P. S - thank you so much for your support mate, you've been watching and commenting on my channel for a year now!! 🙏
@@paulradford6902 that's brilliant to hear mate, thank you so much! Good luck and let me know how it goes, if it's still not working we'll try again a different way!
If you're using the latest version of Pixinsight then you may need to move your related tools/icon files into the pixinsight default save location to make them work, if I recall it may now be within appdata (try saving some icons and see where it's trying to place them, just to be sure)
Hey Anthony! I don't think you're doing anything wrong mate, a lot of people have had this issue it seems! You'll need to rightclick an empty spot > select all process icons, then rightclick again and arrange all icons, that should bring them into view! 🙂 I hope that helps!
Luke , I downloaded the icons I see the xpsm icon I click on it but nothing happens , I load my other saved icons and they are there , I dont understand why they are not opening , any ideas ?
Hey Steve! - they are likely on another workspace mate, the best thing to do is once they -should- be visible, but arent, right click an empty spot in PixInsight and go to process icons > select all icons, then right click again, and arrange all icons, that should bring them up for you! :-) (if not exactly that process, it'll be something close - I'm not by my PC to double check at the moment!) All the best, Luke
@@lukomatico Luke , I downloaded them and put the file in the same place I hope my other icons . It is 14.5 KB so I see the file when I try to load it my workspace is blank... When I go to my other icons it opens. File extension is the same just dont understand it... Have a Merry Xmas
Hey Steve! That's a bit of weird issue mate, I'm sorry it's giving so much trouble :-( All the best mate, I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
@@lukomatico Well I feel STUPID !!!! I tried the icons again and realized that when they opened on my screen in pix it expanded my workspace and all I had to do was the scroll to the right and there they are..... What an id I am........ Thanks for the icons and vids hope to see more... Have a great Xmass and new years
Hey Kaito! - that's a tough one, it could be something as simple as an invalid identifier causing this I think. My advice would be to re-download these tools in one of my newer packages to ensure you've got the latest version of the tool (my recent 'pixinsight for beginners' videos will have the appropriate links for your 👍) Give it another go if you have the time, hopefully it'll work for you! Good luck 🙏
Something not right, they don't work for me, I get error "invalid character in expression". It must be my system as can see others commenting that they work.
Hey there Steve! - Sorry to hear you've been having trouble getting these working mate, I've asked Bill and he mentioned that you maybe need to be on the latest PixInsight version if you aren't already? let me know how you get on! Clear skies :-)
That's a confusing error mate! - Have you tried to delete & redownload the files? that'd be my first guess, sorry if that's not much use bud! Good luck!
Hey Tim, I'm sorry you're having some trouble with them, if you haven't already tried then it's worth either checking each workspace on pixinsight, or right click on the pixinsight workspace, select all icons, then arrange all icons 👍 I hope that helps!
@@lukomatico I got it working. for some reason I wasn't able to load them in to my main workspace. I copied and paste the pixel math to a new process for each of the processes
Hey Paul! - that's a really odd bug that keeps happening on UA-cam, though if it's happened twice in a row then it could be filtering out certain keywords! I'll try to find your comment in my emails now 👍
Hey Paul! I've double checked and unfortunately I can't find your comment anywhere to manually approve it :-( this would indicate it's been filtered for some reason, the reasons why this happens are honestly still unclear to me, please accept my apologies for the hassle, I hate to think of people taking the time to leave a comment only for it to go missing! All the very best, Luke
@@lukomatico Lets see if it will go through as a response. I followed your instructions, however, the color mask ikons do not show up in pixinsight. This is strange, because the Process Console says they are there. Ideas or an alternative way to get them onto Pixinsight? Thanks and thanks for sticking with me.
@@pemongillo Hey there, and no problem :-) if once the process console says they are loaded, you right click the workspace and press process icons > merge process icons, they should appear! If not, they'll be on another workspace :-) just need to find the little critters! I hope that helps you 👍👍
Hi Luke, great work mate, I'm new to PiixInsight (45 day trial) do you have any basic tutorials for me too follow, will I have to stack in Pix or can I use my previously stacked images. Thanks Neil
Hey there Neil! - I have tutorials out for how to stack in PixInsight if you wanted to try that, but you should be fine to use your already stacked masters no worries :-) I do have multiple tutorials out on my channel, but a lot of them are aimed at processing OSC narrowband images - you could try following along with my most recent one here if you'd like! Thank you for watching, as always mate!
Nice tools, thanks for sharing!
No problem buddy, thanks for watching! :-D
Great stuff again. Thanks Bill for sharing. Can’t wait to see your take on star reduction. I always struggle with that
Thanks for watching Ben! - I'm pretty sure you're going to like it! :-)
This is fab…. Thx for sharing Luke.
No problem mate! - I'm glad that you like them :-D
Clear skies!
I appreciate you taking the time to let me know how it went, thank you for watching and sharing!
All the best, and wishing you a happy new year! :-)
Luke
Brilliant video Luke. I use colour masks pretty much on every single image so for me this looks an awesome tool. Really good of Bill to share this with the channel and as usual top notch explanation. So pleased I moved over to pixinsight this year as a result of your videos.......outstanding again Luke 👏
Thank you Paul! :-) I feel the same about PixInsight, I put it off for way too long, now I'm used to it somewhat I could never go back!!
Thank you for watching mate!
Really helped. Now i need to implement
thanks for this ive just had a go at processing my pacman nebula and this helped quite a bit. found it much better than the default colour mask in pix
That's excellent! - I appreciate you letting me know it went well 👍👍
Thanks for checking it out :-)

Very nice !!! Thank You
Thank you - very generous.
Thanks to you for watching Tony! :-)

Wow, Awesome Tutorial Man! Really Informative and Great Depth!! So well done!
Thank you Avanteesh!! - PixInsight is crazy haha, so much can be done!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and support!
Excellent video Luke! Very helpful :)
So glad you like it mate!! Thank you for stopping by! :-)
Clear skies man!
Thanks Luke!
No problem!! - thank you for watching! :-)
Fantastic! Thank you Luke!
No worries David! Thanks for watching my friend! 👍👍
:-) I'll take a note and see about adding it to the list of things to-do, I'm sure plenty of people would like to see gain explored 👍👍
All the best,
Luke
Excellent video and really helpful, thks for that!!
My pleasure mate! Thanks for watching 👍
Great video and thanks for the download link! It is a pain to make masks individually each time so that will speed up things for sure :)
Thank you Antoine! - They're a real quality of life + time saving goldmine! :-) Thank you for watching and Merry Christmas to You, Dalia and Gilbert! :-D
All the best,
Luke
This was a great video! Thank you!
No problem Michael!! - thanks for watching :-D
I just subscribed, great post, and please thank, Bill
Thank you for that Walter! I'll pass the message on :-D

Thank you so much for this help….❤️😊🔭
You are very welcome my friend! :-)
Clear skies!
Great tutorial bud.🙌👏👏👏
Thank you Rob mate!! :-D
very cool stuff. doesn't it matter what folder you put the process icons in.
Thank you! - It shouldn't really matter where the icons are kept, no :-)
Tanks. Earned you a new subscriber 🙂 Awesome tool.
Awesome to hear Bengt! :-) I'm glad you like them!!
Clear skies man!
Great video. I downloaded the files and they work great and are so easy
Great to hear Mike! - Thank you so much for watching :-)
Clear skies!
Very nice video!
Thank you!! 👍
Cheers mate!
Thanks for watching bud! :-D
I believe Bill is still working on the other tools by the way, hopefully will know more soon!
I'm glad to hear you're giving PixInsight a go my friend, it really is the best program I've used for astro images by a country mile - confusing to get started with though, or at least it was for me!
Thank you for watching and all your support mate!! Wishing you the very best for Christmas and the new year! :-)
Great video! Thanks to you and Bill for sharing this. Can't wait to try these masks. Steve
Awesome! - so glad to hear you'll be giving them a go my friend 👍👍
Good luck and I hope you enjoy!
First off they are beautiful images already , thx for the video... Now if I can only learn how to get a good flat image where it does not leave a circle in the middle maybe I can get better images
Thank you Steve! - I really hear you about Flats, I struggled with them for a long time I'll be honest! A major point for me was making sure all light-leaks were sealed, and getting the light source right, an led tracing panel does the job for me :-)
Hope you get on top of it soon mate!
All the best,
Luke
My hat off to you for the video and Bill for his coding skills! As a one layer in GIMP type of guy, every move made can be a compromise, e.g. bringing up the blue channel for galaxy arms can bring the blue channel up for the background unless you use some little tricks, but when I see you simply apply a colour mask to just one component of an image with out it messing with everything else it kind of makes me wonder what I'm doing with my life lol p.s. love the mic setup!
Hey Chris! Hope you and yours are doing well my friend :-)
I really hear what you are saying haha, it can be disheartening in an almost comedic way to see how easy things can be in dedicated software vs more broad-use packages!!
Thank you again mate, you've always a kind word 👍
Thanks!! And hope you all get well soon!
@@billblanshan3021 Cheers Bill! The kids bounced back pretty quickly thankfully but I'm still work in progress lol
Thanks a ton for this super helpful video! Do you know if Bill's ColorsMasks will install on Mac? Is the installation process similar?
Thank you!! They should indeed work fine and I imagine the install is quite similar Sanjog! :-) Good luck my friend!
Thanks a lot!!!
You're welcome! Clear skies mate :-)
Luke Great job explaining the process, I'm just learning Pixinsight, My Question I'm using a RedCat 51, Using a L-Ultimate filter and ZW0 2600mc pro. When I do California Nebula It's Mostly Red, Do you have a video explaining how to get the colors you have on your California Nebula in this video? let me know tks so much.
just tested, wow the lack of additional noise is incredible
It's pretty crazy isn't it Andy! :-D thanks for letting me know it's working great for you!
Sorry Luke forgot to say I use a OSC camera,
Cheers Neil🍻
RE: the masks - I'm very sorry to hear that you've had some issues with them and I appreciate you taking the time to create a test too! - In my own personal experience the only time you get a pretty much black mask is when there's no/low levels of the selected mask's colour available currently in the image, - you can still use an otherwise wrongly coloured mask as long as the overlap in colour is workable - for example using a yellowmask to manipulate red tones instead :-)
I'll mention to Bill about this comment and see if he's got any idea what's going on for you mate!
All the best and thanks so much for watching!
Tried installing these last night and they're not coming up on screen. Will try again later though. You're images are getting better and better. Great work and always look forward to your next project.
Hi James, thank you for the kind words my friend! :-)
I'm sorry to hear they are not coming up on screen - it could be the same issue as a few others have been experiencing, where they do load in but are off the edge of the workspace, so you need to scroll across to the right to find them once loaded :-) Hopefully that's the issue and it's all fine for you mate!
All the best and good luck!
@@lukomatico got it and you were correct. Thank you very much!
Hi Luke, How can i become the download file of this colormasks please? Is their somewhere where i can download them? Thank you for your response greetings from Tino of Belgium
Hey Tino! - In the video description my friend, there is a link to my google drive where the files are hosted :-) I hope that helps!
Thank you so much for giving your support like that :-)
Regarding the tools themselves, - this is a personal link for you to try: drive.google.com/file/d/1Ak0L_ANsdPM5G4mzwuF0YMM8J_PH9qmL/view?usp=sharing
you'll need to click the little download icon in the top right toolbar, it should look like a page full of text.
@@peterheath9351 Glad to hear it worked Peter! - Good luck mate :-)
:-) rightclick > process icons > load process icons > navigate to the downloaded .xpsm files > open
I hope that helps you!
All the best,
Luke
@@lukomatico Thank you, Luke! It worked. I further thank you for your very helpful and practical youtube guidances.
You are very welcome! That's kind of you to say! :-)

I have a Mac and have tried this as well. I can find the file on my computer but it’s not showing up in PI for me. I’ve tried what you suggested, but nothing opens. Any suggestions?
Hello ! your video is awesome ! i just tried but i have an error in the process black window when execute (blue mask), it says :

Hey mate I'm so sorry about the late reply! - I can only imagine that something is going wrong with the naming system during mask creation, but I could be totally wrong. Sorry I can't be more help with this one.
Hi Luke
I have the same problem with pixinsight .
7 new icons has to be rename due to conflicting identifies.
I so many times don't work for me in pixinsight.
Please help.
Thanks
Hey there! - sorry about the trouble, have you tried right clicking the workspace and compiling the icons?
And as a second suggestion, move through your workspaces me you'll probably find them on another one, this has happened to a few people! :-) hope these help you!
Thanks
It is not opening with pixinsight , it said "7 new icon(s) had to be renamed due to conflicting identifiers with previously existing icons. Original identifiers have been suffixed as necessary to make them unique". Any Idea
It's likely that they are opening, but just on another workspace - try to open them once on a fresh pixinsight run, then right-click and select all icons, then right-click and arrange all icons, that should bring them into view! :-)
Good luck!
@@lukomatico thks a lot 👍👍👍it worked now
The process icons load but I can not see them. They don't show up on Workspace 1,2,3,4. Any ideas?
Hey there! - I believe if they aren't showing up but the log is showing them as loaded, you may be able to rightclick, select all icons, then arrange icons :-) that may help!
Thanks for watching and I hope that solves the problem for you!
@@lukomatico Thanks, Luk. Not sure why "Arrange Icons" worked but it did. They show now.
Great to hear! :-) enjoy 👍👍
What have I overlooked?
never mind, they were off the edge of my screen. 🙄
Hey there! So glad you got it sorted out, a few people have had this issue it seems! :-) I hope you enjoy the tools Jeff, I'd love to hear how you get on with em'!
Thanks! i had the same problem!:) nice tutorial!
Hoe geraak ik aan die color mask?
Sorry about the late reply! they should be available in any of my newer tutorials, download the data from the description and the tools will be with them :-) Clear skies!
I can't get these to load into Pixinsight. I download the file and try and drag and drop them. Sometimes comes up with a message about prefixes 🤷🏻♂️
Hey Paul! - I assume the message about prefixes comes up the second time you try to load them maybe?
It could be that the first attempt to drag and drop them is doing the job, but they are just appearing off screen to the right - you'll likely have to scroll across the main screen to uncover them 👍
I hope that's the issue mate!
All the best,
Luke
P. S - thank you so much for your support mate, you've been watching and commenting on my channel for a year now!! 🙏

@@lukomatico update Luke, you were right, they were off the screen 🙄🤣
Is there a way to install bills mask tools in windows, because following your instructions don't work
If you're using the latest version of Pixinsight then you may need to move your related tools/icon files into the pixinsight default save location to make them work, if I recall it may now be within appdata (try saving some icons and see where it's trying to place them, just to be sure)
@@lukomatico somehow I did it, don't ask me how, but after 1 day using PI it is a breath of fresh air

Hey Anthony! I don't think you're doing anything wrong mate, a lot of people have had this issue it seems!
You'll need to rightclick an empty spot > select all process icons, then rightclick again and arrange all icons, that should bring them into view! 🙂

(if not exactly that process, it'll be something close - I'm not by my PC to double check at the moment!)

Hey Kaito! - that's a tough one, it could be something as simple as an invalid identifier causing this I think.
My advice would be to re-download these tools in one of my newer packages to ensure you've got the latest version of the tool (my recent 'pixinsight for beginners' videos will have the appropriate links for your 👍)
Give it another go if you have the time, hopefully it'll work for you!

I'm confused. I have asked the same question twice and both times it has disappeared?!
