The devil is in the details. And with Rush... the details are endless... 😣 Geddy was such a maligned singer by the press when in fact we musicians (and quasi musicians) know he was a truly amazing singer.
Very good explanation, thanks for sharing that. You really do seem to pay attention to the little details, which serves you well as a tribute band trying to recreate the sound and feel of Rush. Hands down, you guys do it the best, hope you continue for a long time. Would love to see you guys play in Northeast Pennsylvania sometime and catch a few live shows. Thanks for the music, keep up the good work and good luck 👍
It is really amazing how much you do sound like Geddy. Besides all of your ability to sound instrumentality exactly like Rush, the thing that sets you guys apart from every other Rush Tribute band, is how close to Geddy you actually sound. Another great video guys! Thank you!
Pretty awesome explanation. I'm not a singer but as a huge Rush fan I still found this really interesting. You guys are awesome, an amazing Rush tribute band. It's obvious you put a ton of effort into recreating the Rush experience, you really deserve way more subscribers. Come to the east coast, I'll definitely buy a ticket.
Sean, I really have to hand it to you. For me the vocals make or break a tribute band. I have been a fan of rush for 40 or so years and I have also watched many rush tributes. You guys like many do an absolutely amazing job with the musicianship for sure but so many fall short with the vocals and honestly I get it. But you deliver some of the best vocals I have ever seen from a Rush tribute band. I really appreciate you gays keeping the music alive for us fans. Your dedication shows!!
It is definitely a tribute to Geddy wanting to imitate his tone and his nuances. He has a very powerful voice and hats off to you for your hard work. That certainly is a tribute to Rush. I would really hate listening to a Rush tribute band where they just do their own thing and changing the whole song. Great video
Thanks Sean , thank you so much for putting into words a very difficult topic to cover. I can truly appreciate , even more so now , the endless effort that you and Geddy have put into vocals alone over the years. Stack that with some amazing musical skills and I honestly I dont see a better group of musician to find inspiration in , and that is from so many perspectives. Thank you Sean, Bill and Tom for tending the Garden.
Geddy's vocals are unique every tune bears that out and your vocals Sean just amazing covering Geddy and the band make up original to RUSH with Bill and Tom is just blessed to cover them the way RTP does it. Be proud and come to SE Texas and jam !
Being a RUSH fan since 1974 I approve. While no cover band can duplicate RTP you all come very close and I really enjoy listening! By FAR the best tribute band out there!
Saw you guys at the Palladium NYC last night Super impressed by the showmanship.!! You really fill that need for "Lack-of Rush-I'm-dying-Syndrome.😊 The way out is the way in💪👍
I'm assuming that your vocal starting point is different based on what stage of their career the song is from. It's this attention to detail that makes you guys the best Rush tribute band that I've heard.
That is absolutely true. Each album, starting around A Farewell to Kings, has Geddy trying different stuff, different ranges, different keys. different styling, etc., depending on what they were aiming for with that particular set of songs. While he has his favorite keys and notes like any singer, he didn't just stay there. Some of that was age, some of that was musical choice. It's why I go through those steps with every song. I'm still finding new things I've missed or forgotten.
You mean like Aimee Mann? By the way if you ever meet Ms. Mann in person do not EVER mention Rush to her in any way, shape or form. You have been warned
As a cardboard manipulating musician myself, I must say that I am impressed with the Kallax filled stash in the background.
Extremely intelligent and articulate breakdown. Impressed!

As a singer, this is priceless. Thank you so much.
These detailed breakdowns are great! I’d love to see more. :)

Your attention to detail is amazing, as is your ability to capture all of Geddy's nuances. I'm excited to see you guys in New Hampshire this May!
You and all the guys are masters, Sean, keep it up!
Very interesting! Big time Rush fan here since about 1976
This is great, Sean.
Sean, awesome jobs guys. Vocals are unique and bass, pedals , syns. RTP best ever to the best ever RUSH
Very cool video. Your meticulous attention to detail shows in your performances. Can't wait to see RTP live sometime!

Saw you in Shipshewana, Indiana 1/21/23. Great job.
Great stuff.

Very cool
Nice job Sean
See you guys Friday!
his voice was like a screech owl
A boardgamer to boot! Awesome.
you must have had one hell of a vocal coach
Self-taught. I'd probably be a better singer if I had lessons from a real pro.
How do you get Geddy's high notes? I bet you knew this was coming!
Awesome Sean thank you, which song do you feel most comfortable with and which one do you find the hardest to do?
That's a good question. I'll have to give it some thought. I can say it's not related to how high the singing is. Perhaps a "top ten" video...
@@TheRushTributeProject that’ll be interesting I’ll look forward to seeing that
what does Ken Tamplin think?
More details on your bass guitars!
How the hell are mortals supposed to sing the hook of Circumstances?
This video made me appreciate Geddy a little bit more as a singer. I still think you sing better than Geddy though.
You sound much better than Geddy has in 20 years. Guessing you’re not a chain smoker…..
