The KO2 is so good for jamming, people get down on it for not being a full workstation. Its an amazing jam machine it makes making songs and ideas easy, and its so fun to play with. Also it gets you back to live playing not boring backing track roboticism. Love it!

I’ve been on the fence of getting one but after this video I’m convinced. I plan to challenge myself to make a different genre rather than what I usually make. My first piece of hardware so I’m thinking the challenge of learning it and doing a different genre all in one would be a cool learning experience. This is fire Cuckoo.

Ima be honest, and say, I am not a fan of any of this type of music. But your energy, and the way you learn the ins and outs of whatever it is you work on, is so incredibly impressive that I loved every single track. Every time you see a master at work at what they’re good at, you can’t help but be sucked in and intrigued. Many props to you Cukoo. P.S. your video on the KO 2 demo automatically popped up like 2 hours after you posted it and I just had to order one that same day.
WICKED! SUCH GREAT LIVE PERFORMANCE!! Would you say the KO-II is easier to get started on understanding the digi-world of making music on hardware's rather than the op-1? (I maninly play acustic instruments - Guitar, percussion, saxophone, didj etc.)
Thanks!! The OP-1 has a digital tape recorder. So coming from acoustic instruments you will feel more used to the concept of recording the exact audio that you play. The KO-II has a step sequencer, and you can’t record audio in the same way. So you will have to wrap your head around the sequencing concept. It’s not the easiest step sequencer to get into, since you won’t see the sequence visualised, but it is not very difficult. It’s unusually rich in the way it allows for unquantised and very long polyphonic sequences/ patterns, which can be very limited in other sequencers.
So cool! 3 minutes in and I'm already all for it!

Thanks! It’s kind of a balance between doing too much, and doing it with poor timing. In the middle somewhere is using it with good timing, good intentions, like organic accents to change moods, increase intensity etc. But you have to do it too much first to get good at it. It needs to be in your muscle memory and come quickly to you. So don’t worry! Keep practicing and exploring 👍🏼 You got this.

Oh no that's such a shame! It obviously must have come as a shock for TE with so many broken units on day one. Nobody wants that. Hopefully they'll be where it should be soon enough. It's such a great little instrument.

That Mega Drive-y FM bass in the first track is 🥵 sampled from your MegaFM perchance? Beaut work as always!
Thanks mate! All sounds are sampled from my Digitone set. It has very similar algorithms as the MegaFM, so you can achieve similar sounds. But the Digitone is much more clinical, where as the MegaFM is old school dirty.

Hi Cukoo, just wondering with no expandable storage did you have to overwrite any of the sounds that were preloaded or do feel that if you are going to put in more of your sounds you will soon have to?
For this set (3 full songs built with custom sounds only) I maxed out the unit without deleting factory content. But I did have a big chunk of other custom samples from a previous session on there as well, so I’m not entirely sure how much those other samples were. Maybe 10-15MB.
