We have a special episode of Diecast Reviews this week, we will review the new Speed Icons line from @MaistoDesign . These models are true 1/64 (from what I can tell) and they are LOADED with details. Rubber tires, suspension, moving parts, metal/metal construction…..fresh stuff from Maisto for the premium diecast collectors. Check them out!

15:08 As I noticed, all of these castings are from bburago 1/64. Since both Maisto and Bburago are owned by the same company. The model itself is the same ig, with the same opening parts and detail. They just changed colour to some models such as the huracan (bburago one is green) replace with metal base but the best part is the realistic wheels which enhanced the looking a lot! If they make more colors for each models with price lower than mini gt, I'd definitely get them.
Well said, and great eye!
Nice job 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Not bad, right there with you on the opening doors, if they're done well.... 👌🤓
Thanks Uri….it’s always a gamble for me when I see opening parts.
I ain't mad at 'em. Gonna have to pick up a few of these. 👊❤
They really surprised me, man. Well done on their part.
Awesome thank you for sharing 👍😎
Thanks Dane!
Nice review David.
And my favorite is the… Lamborghini Sian. 👍✌️
It’s a fine choice. It might be the most realistic of the bunch.
Damn, these are legit and I usually hate opening doors. I do make exceptions for hoods/engine covers as long as they're done right. I'm gonna keep my eye on these.
You and I have the same thoughts on opening parts
Oh man these look great .my local stopped carrying maisto but if they came back with these it would be really cool great reviews David definitely will be looking into these. 😎
You know it, Eddie. Hope all is well, my friend.
Interesting, Maisto scored the Ferrari license? Based on the Maisto Design line, these should be great bang for the buck! Hopefully we get these through our stores up here...
I believe they are benefitting from Bburago having the license. Both companies are under the same umbrella. That is what I’ve come up with on the license. I am not sure, just guessing. We will try to confirm that for you.
@@DiecastMediaNetwork it will be interesting if it's the case, as Bburago has really cool 1:64ish castings, dunno if you've seen their Acura RDX but it's factory stock looking and to my knowledge isn't made by any other diecast manufacturers. Might open up some Majorette-Maisto crossovers?...
They are not too bad.👍
Michael, they were a breath of fresh air for my overall impression of Maisto and the premium diecast space.
Will these be released in stores?
Great question! I’d hope so, but details are hard to come by at the moment
How is the pricing compared to mini gt or Hot wheels premium.
Great question! I actually don’t know, I received these samples directly from Maisto. I hate that I don’t even know how much (or where) these will be sold.
They look pretty good, but I don't care for opening parts on 1/64 (S).
I can 100% appreciate that
Man compared to Maisto mainlines. These premium ones look awesome. I always considered Maisto mainlines really low budget and poor quality compared to HW and MBX mainlines and a bit bigger than HW and MBX. And not the best executed diecast cars with ugly wheels and details etc compared to HW and MBX. But here it’s completely turned around. These premium from Maisto actually looks better in quality than their competitors from HW and MBX
This line has done ALOT to change perceptions about Maisto and the premium diecast space. I can’t wait to see how they improve in the future as well.
Maisto cars always look bulky so you can never display them with other true 1:64 you'll see the difference
These are pretty close….I think the suspension is what takes away from the fitment we see in other premium lines.
@@DiecastMediaNetwork makes sense yes ,what I do love though are the vw beetle castings I've always bought those when ever I saw them perfect for customs even
