Fantastic rendition of one of my favorites! Every time I hear this tune, it brings back memories of my younger days, and innocent and wonderful times. like my first girlfriend, and when my brother, my parents, grandparents, and other special people were still here. I'm 60 now, and not in great health, but this tune always makes me feel better, every time it hear it! There is a chance I will be seeing them again "Soon' Thanks for this! ♥
Exactly. She didn’t sound just like Jon, but when you cover a song you have to make it your own in a way. She sang in her natural voice, I give her and the band props for doing a song that they had to know would be so nitpicked. And doing it well.

I think language difference may be the reason it sounds a bit off. English is not her native language, so she does not pronounce some of the words correctly. Still a good effort.
Yes purists are always going to find something to criticise. She has a fantastic voice-clear and strong and there is nothing wrong with putting her own interpretation on the song. The problem is that I'm not sure whether she meant it to be her version of it or whether it was intended to sound the same as the original. The first note she sings sounds brilliant but then she sort of goes off track! We all know how it should sound and Carola is hampered by her foreign accent which makes the words sound different. There are a couple of Japanese covers of Close To The Edge which don't sound right for the same reason.I don't know what the answer is other than to try more to make the words sound more like Jon Anderson but that would mean a study of northern English dialect! The backing band are excellent.
Yes, I think that's the answer: she is not a native speaker of English, so it sounds a bit different from English versions. Kudos to any band, however, that attempts to play a Yes song.
E for effort. if I belched this song would you call it just my own interpretation? credit for making the attempt but its a near miss. its a hard song to do. I'm cool with different versions as long as they pull it off, but this was an attempt at a true version. attempt I say.
I love her commitment to YES music, and the band is doing a nice job. Honestly I just wish she would hit her notes. I'm afraid this is a pitchy performance.

Como está você?
@@rosinhablue2195 Bien, gratsi, e tu? ❤
Well, even as a big Yes fan, I still enjoyed this performance a lot. It’s great that other musicians want to cover this beautiful song. Bravo!

Beautiful. Congrats for the performance and good taste.
Muito bom simplesmente fantástico,as músicas do YES me trazem paz
As a Yes aficionado I think this is superb. Mesmerizing.
congratulations for the performance! Very beautiful! Carol, your voice is beautiful!
Porque a voz do Joe é simplesmente ÚNICA,MARAVILHOSA, AFINADA, E LINDA! DEUS ABENÇOE O JOE FOREVER!
Wow!! Beautiful cover. How on earth did you dig up this one! Kudos to you and the band. I've never heard a cover of this song. Thank you!!! 💚💚💚
Your singing this song is the best. You are on the olymp together with Gema Vau with Juan Zagalas. Thank you very much.
This cover es maravillosa, wonderful
beautiful! so glad to find this!
From Brazil, parabéns pela escolha desta música
Bravo, magnífica versión. Gracias
Guitarist covered Steve’s epic steel guitar nicely
I always admire the fascination from latin peoples from south America or in this case italians towards Yes and we are both fans!

Sorry, but it doesn't move me at all. I would have loved to hear Enya do a version of this song.
The voice is not in the same reality as Jon's. Nobodies voice compares to Jon. It soars into an angelic realm.
Magnifico!!
👏🏻👏🏻
ty will listen again gladly nice trip my speaker sucks, very frustrated
Afterall ITS A great performance
Highly appreciate it
❤❤❤❤otimaa apresetacoo.bem simuldoooo🎉🎉🎉🎉
Why does she hate so much that so wonderful Yes song ?
singin like a pop song

This is not the correct way to Sing this kind of music. ITS YES, NOT WHITNEY HOUSTON.
Absolety perfekt!
Gostei muito !

All the ones who deny can go to hell!
The answer is don't worry about any differences...just appreciate.
muito bom
Simplesmente épico!
WHAT REASON TO BE HERE
REASON TO BE HERE
Music is okay, but the singer exaggerates. She has not understood that this number should be kept small
Splendidamente unica cuore mio😍❤
Screaming and yelling. Doesn't even come close to the original.
Quem me empresta uma escada pra subir aos céus?
you are Best = as jon
I love her commitment to YES music, and the band is doing a nice job. Honestly I just wish she would hit her notes. I'm afraid this is a pitchy performance.
alegre demais
Funny! She has a lower pitched voice than Jon!😊
grazie questo es bendito e benvenuto
The 'Closer' the 'Soon'(er)...
I expected goodness and got a very poor "singer".......she needs to find a new gig
Non ci siamo. Mi spiace
Awful. Please delete that. Immerdiately please. Thank you.
Dear me WTF
love her passion but she is no match for this song
Good band, poor vocals.
Vocals sux .
Great musik but singer socks, poor english and overdone with singing.
Too affected for my taste
I do not like it.
