I love to can potatoes! It makes it super easy in the winter to make nice homemade mashed potatoes because the potatoes are already mostly soft! I also enjoy having canned beef chunks and canned chicken broth. Otherwise I do have a lot of canned tomato products (pasta sauce pizza sauce and salsa)
Truly a sweet video. Makes my heart ache for those precious moments when my children were little & snuggled in my arms with such love. Yes, a raised bed is a great place to start. Just a small assortment of veggies you eat on a regular basis, and some herbs and a few cutting flowers. 🌸 😊❤️🙏
Enjoyed your video so much! I so relate to your feeling of being overwhelmed creatively. I’m always working on trying to find the balance between motherhood, homemaking, UA-cam, & all my personal endeavors. I know it’s all worth it & will probably be ever changing and evolving as my kids grow through each new stage and season. ❤
Hi Valerie! I am so glad there a Christan vloggers out there! I just stumbled upon your channel this week. I also watch Little House on the Prairie Its my favorite Tv show! and it kind of depicts are life with bonnets long dresses. Have a wonderful day!
Maybe previously mentioned but canning chicken breasts is the most handy thing to have on hand. Think chicken salad, chicken and noodles, chicken spagetti, any recipes that use cooked chicken.
Lovely thirft haul....I enjoy seeing what you found! I went thrifting at the beginning of the week and saw a set of 3 plates just like the small white one with green flowers that you got! I'm kinda regretting leaving them there! 🙈🤍
Strawberry jam, pickles, pickled jalapenos and salsa are what I would say we use the most out of our canning. I think you should definitely do a garden....I find that when I'm gardening it doubles as a devotional time for Me. Build the box, grow the garden Sister! I've been watching the Walton's, Little House on the Prairie is next on the list. 😂
Pick one or two new things and learn them well . Sourdough bread and one raised bed , I grew up with and had a large garden for years , now I have four raised beds and love them ! Easy gives us enough food to eat fresh, if you have one raised bed to start , grow some herbs like parsley, basil , one of each , one zucchini plant , a small tomato plant , one bred for pots, a few pepper plants or whatever veggies you like fresh , the boys would enjoy helping to pick ! Treat it like a hobby and have fun ! Then for canning and freezing your better off going to a produce stand for say , green beans , corn , apples for applesauce.
I love that mixing bowl! Looks great. I love Little House on the Prairie and grew up on the show (my mom would iron clothes while watching it). Cute coloring book. You did a great job coloring a page. It is so nice that you have a girls' night out. Aw. That would be fun. I think all postpartum women tend to look pregnant. I do too (although I am trying but I didn't get my period back yet after nursing for nearly ten months now). It is rude if people ask that (but maybe they don't understand postpartum bodies). -JusticePirate
I know you are. It takes a year to a year and a half to work that down after giving birth, sometimes two years (especially since you had two so close together). Don't fret. You are a great mom! :)@@ValerieKeim
Applesauce is my favorite thing to have in the shelves plus it smells so good to make. With two little ones myself it’s a boy staple. Also I totally relate to having creative slumps occasionally because I’m also in a creative job and sometimes inspiration is lacking!! So sorry for ya but don’t worry- it’ll pass! :) I’d enjoy a vlog themed around cleaning inspiration or a “what we eat in a week” video from you. Or if you do a raised bed, please share that process: building it, planning, and planting it, etc.
Can ugly chicken!! Makes THEE BEST chicken salad with no added ingredients. It’s super easy to do. Watch Suttons Daze updated video on how to can it. I think the video was put out a year ago. A tip that helped me was can what your family eats not because someone suggested you can it. I only said chicken salad because you had it in this video 😂😂

It’s so hard to keep it from burning me out 😂 I like being inspired but I don’t like a creativity overload! 😂

Ahh I hate that feeling! There’s still times when I think about something I left at the thrift store 🥲
Apple sauce , green beans, sweet corn is the main foods I can and freeze!!
I think raised beds are ideal!!!!!
I love canning green beans too!
I think the saucer on the bread board with the candle in the saucer would look cute. If the candle fits in there . Love the haul ❤
Good idea 🥰 thank you!
Such a great video. Thank you for sharing your day. I enjoyed the drive through Amish country at the beginning.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Thank You for sharing - great video

You're so funny Valerie. The chat was so cute. Chip will do anything for you I believe. The boys are growing so fast. Great video. Ty dear.
Thank you! 😂🥰

And here I thought I was the only one who colored and watched Little House on the Prairie when my kids nap 😂
Haha apparently not! 😂
I really enjoy your videos. ❤

Thanks for the good ideas! Applesauce is something I’d love to do cause my boys LOVE it!!
Building yourself a raised bed would definitely make your channel interesting 😁. Cute dishes in your thrift haul 👍
Haha it would wouldn’t it 😂😝
Hi. I love coloring with those pens but the coloring books needs thicker paper cause it blends through😢
Yes it does! I just slid a piece of cardboard under it so it doesn’t bleed to the next page
Do you guys eat salsa, relish, carrots? The canning possibilities are endless if you know what you guys eat regularly 😃
We don’t eat much salsa but the other stuff we would use!
@@ValerieKeim relish is pretty easy and that’s water bath canning. Carrots get mushy though 😞
If you can do the interior of the motorhome you can build your own raised bed....just do it. Stuff like that are adictive😂😂😂
Haha very true!!
