I almost bought the Girsan. The Girsan's I have shot have all performed well. However, what kept me from buying the Girsan was the finish and quality control. I have seen some kind of issue (not function) with all the Girsan's I have handled. I have handled the same amount of Tisas pistols. They have always worked and the finish and quality control have been outstanding. I also like that the DS Duty and Carry from Tisas are over a $100 cheaper. That is a great deal.
The Gassan is meant for a carry/defensive gun. It has a heavier trigger for defensive use, but it’s still only 4 to 5 pounds and it’s something that can easily be changed.
I also almost got a Girsan but never liked the idea of Losing the rear site when you put a dot on it (like to co witnesse) The Dot it comes with a is Trash and 1 mag. The Tisas has all Forged Internal 2 mags and you keep your rear site. (Which I rather have 2 mags then the crappie dot) Go Price 2011 Mags and you will see why! Just ordered a Tisas B9R DS got one of those 1 Day Sales for 629 next day back up to 759 Still a good price for a budget 2011. Only thing I’ll be adding is a Wilson Full Guide Rod
My local range has the Tisas for rent. It shoots flat. The recoil is negligible. The only issue I had was it came with suppressor height sights. My son who is a very good shot, and I both found it to shoot low. Really low. At this point in time I really want a double stack. But I keep coming back to the Stealth Arms Platypus. Because it’s “bespoke” as far as the finishes. And it uses Glock mags. That said, I could buy a lot of Checkmate mags for the price difference.
I have Tisas DS Duty and I love it. It's a very accurate and reliable shooting gun. Tisas makes very good guns for very reasonable prices. I'm a fan of Tisas and Canik.
@@seanflanagan578 the stock plastic grips on those are bad. I've ordered the walnut and rubber grips from tisas. Much better. As for the trigger, I've never had a bad one from them. And as it's shot more, the trigger definitely lightens up and smooths out. None of mine pulled more than 4.5 lbs right out of the box. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
I just picked up my DS Carry, cleaned it in the sonic cleaner and oiled it up and reassembled. Tomorrow I shoot it. I already have the Stingray Carry in.45 (the single stack) and liked it so much I wanted the 9mm DS. Depending on how it shoots, it may go into my winter carry rotation. I sure like how it looks.
I bought the Girsan 2311, I love the gun for the most part and the gun looks great. I don’t like the grip module per se and the ambi safety on the right side wiggles which doesn’t make me confident and the shell ejection is very erratic and sometimes comes full 6 o clock. The screws in the grip module came super loose and walked out from just drawing practicing the gun. Grip safety felt amazing tho. Gun feels smooth.
@@BoomStickTactical yea I spend 970$ on it and I should have just saved an extra 2-300$ and bought the prodigy honestly. At this point selling it would put me in the negative so I’m just gonna send it off to a gunsmith and have some work done on it.
Normally tisas vs girsan i take girsan but owning both of these, the tisas is the better pistol even though its cheaper. I haven't shot the bull barrel mac but if its better than this tisas its gonna be the best value

The Tisas is a better gun in my opinion
The trigger on the Girsan is like 7lbs out of the box vs the Tisas at 3.75-4lbs

Agreed. There are a few other thinks about it also that can be fixed.

I ordered a girsan today for 599. I have the tisas duty full size and wanted a commander size

There's several people who say it shoots low. Mine actually shoots a bit high at 15 yards. Who knows
@@BoomStickTactical
I’m betting it’s the high sights.
Otherwise, it is a slick shooter. And that’s before considering the MSRP.
Which one is prettier and can i change those grips with regular 1911 grips?
Regular 1911 grips won't work on these
❤
👍
@boomstick tactical👏😏
Thanks Azreal

I'm glad they came out with them. I've been waiting for a while since they first announced.
Nobody makes a better 1911 than tisas for the money and most of the time they make guns better than even more expensive ones
Agreed
I'm a big fan of Tisas. I have 8 of them now. And my new B9R Carry DS will be here Friday. Yes I have a Tisas 1911 addiction LOL
You're not the only one who has that addiction Scott.
i got my b9r last week, im very disappointed, trigger is horrible, grip is a little too slick, I've never regretted buying a gun until now

Picked up the Check-Mate 17rnd mag last night since the Tisas comes with 2. I needed that 3rd mag! Lol
The prodigy mags work as well.
@@BoomStickTactical Saw them for 37 clams on Gunmagwarehouse.

Nice video 👌🏼I got rid of the Girsan the first week I had it.I went with the
MAC 9DS 🔥and let me tell you it’s a PHENOMENAL gun.
The Mac 9ds is great. I'm thinking about getting it as well but haven't decided yet.
You won’t be disappointed 🤗I was thinking of getting the TISAS CARRY DS as well.
I think the 2311 feels like a prickly Lego. Ymmv.🤷♂️
Iy doesn't feel as good as the Tisas.

The trigger on the girsan pisses me off
Yeah, it could be much better for a gun in this price range. The Tisas is a better gun but I'm keeping both.

What’s your thoughts of the MAC DS1911?
I like them also and may get one in the future.
Pretty nice 👍
Thanks!
