Make ridges on 75 cm distance. Out of every 4 ridges, on first ridge, sow 2 lines of maize, then 2 lines of soybean on 2nd ridge. Again 2 more lines of soybean on 3rd ridge and now 2 lines of maize on last ridge. Repeat this sequence for all ridges in an acre.
In case of beds, make beds of 40 cm width. Bed to bed distance 60 cm. On first bed, 2.rows of maize. Then on next bed 2.rows of soybean then keep this sequence continue. Maize plant to plant distance = 17.5 cm and for soybean hole to hole distance = 10 cm. 2 seeds of soybean per hole. You will get 30476 plants of maize and 53333 plants of soybean in one acre.

By using 60 cm apart ridge sowing method, we can provide water separately for both crops
