It’s funny seeing the transmission tunnel in the i4 body. But a shared platform offers a lot of advantages. Just wish the edrive40 and m50’s were a bit cheaper with that in mind.
Build quality in my m50 is impeccable.
this whole automation is fascinating on one side. i really stunnes me. on the other i see hundrets of workplaces replaced

공장의 관점에서 보면 일반 내연기관차량의 공장과 거의 흡사 한 것 같습니다. TM 및 배기/연료 장치 조립공정 대신에 배터리 조립공정으로 대체 되었네요.

In person it looks a lot better. It’s strange how I first saw it in pictures and videos it looked wonky but once I stood in front of it, the grill didn’t bother me at all.

It shares the same platform as the ICE bmw 4 series car hence the gear tunnel. They use the tunnel for batteries tho.

Yeah, this factory is at another level!!!! It has 60% more robots than most pure EV car makers, producing a way less efficient vehicle, in more time than it takes to make a lets say, a Tesla,a BYD or a NIO. Oh, and it is using the middle level of the factory, now I see why it is at another level!!!!!!

@@gregorponert5139 I love Primitive Technology UA-cam channel because it explains everything. I understand modern manufacturing because I made about two dozen (still unpublished) inventions in this field. I want to improve my knowledge by studying their problems and mistakes.

Every manufacturer is going whole pig on making EVs. They hope government will force people to buy them.
It's already mandated in some countries that ICE cars will be banned in the next decade... hence why manufacturers are striving to make more EVs

@@KyleJoshuaKing This Factory looks exactly like Fremont. It is ok but it is an old design and it uses a lot more robots. It is also more expensive to produce and for that money BMW is delivering an EV that is not comparable in any way to Tesla except for better quality control. Meaning their car has in no way better quality but the quality control team in BMW actually works while in Tesla they are probably playing Fortnite during work idk
@@KyleJoshuaKing the tesla giga texas factory is the largest factory building in the world, many parts of a cars production is done inhouse as well as utilizing newer manufacturing methods for car production such as 2 piece die casted frames which is a first in the industry.
@@miguellopez3392 which is why majority of their cars have major quality control issues.
@Dreadpirateflappy bad quality controll for tesla means something isn't glued on right or a pannel gap is to big, bad quality control on ford and GM = your house burning down

this is not that special ... same as other production line.
Sames as "most" production lines.
So much hard work, so much electricity, screws, wires and paint, so much sweat, planning, designing, implementing and making it a reality, and the cars get uglier and uglier.
It doesn't matter no more what car it is ie B m w or Aldi etc its just a battery car lol there all the same :/

@@KDR816 Yes. Efficiency counts. My Tesla did never loose any wheel. But I can tell you stories about reliability of my BMWs if you like.
@@gregorponert5139 owning an ICE BMW is for rich and patient, no doubt. But the electric one is completely different story. Teslas do not survive roads in Ukraine. The suspension just falls off!
@@KDR816 The Model S suspension are original parts from Mercedes Benz and their suppliers. And I assume BMW uses similar parts. Why should a BMW oder Daimler suspension last any longer ? I had to replace suspension-parts on my BMWs so often I can´t even count.
Never better than gasoline car the battery cost to replace will be almost half of car price
