@ sorry, this begs another question. Dad was at Koli point (Ordnance) and has pics of fire and post fire. His pictures show jeeps, trucks, complete warehouses burned out and the like. One interesting photo shows his LT.’s looking at .45’s to determine salvageable or not. In that he was in the Service Command (197th Ordnance Co. Army). All his pics of the fire are noted “27 Nov. 1943”. So now I’m not sure if he was at Koli Point but was at Lunga Beach. I recall Lunga beach had a port and pier for unloading supplies? Any clarification you can give me would be helpful to my book. Regards

Thanks. It’s really interesting seeing this and then comparing it to the remains of other such facilities in other parts of the Pacific.
Thanks for posting, always enjoy seeing where the history happened.
Love it. Had no idea. Hope to visit someday.

Amazing the natives there are not using that one ammo bunker your video showed Dave ! Watched all " Unauthorized History " so far as well as yours. !!
There's a guy living in one on Peleliu. It is a much larger and nicer mag.
Bravo Zulu Dave! Keep it up!
Thank you for the wonderful video.
Great video as usual . Also just wondering where do you get the maps you use in your many videos .
Thanks. I’ve gathered a few resources from years of research.
How much danger were these bomb bunkers /air planes in during that 27 Nov 1943 grass fire / ammo dump explosion?
That fire was at Hells Point near Henderson. So no danger as these were about 4 miles away.
@ Ah.. thank you. Clears up some details for me.
