    I should also say its so refreshing that you are so thoughtful and responsive! Its clear from your content, but your passion really shows. Without channels and websites like yours, I probably either wouldn't get an E-bike, or be getting one that is a poor fit for me.
    Your reviews consistently give tons of information that is digestible for all ranges of experience and you keep the community positive and open. That goes a long way and I think you should know it is appreciated. I doubt you'll ever know how big an impact you and your team have in the long run, but trust me, its extremely significant.

    Nice, informative review of a very nicely featured cargo bike. It seems a great value for its price!
    It was useful Blix configured a trio with different sets of accessories to demonstrate how customizable it is. Thank you for including information about the available extended warranty. More companies should offer one, especially for direct-to-consumer bikes, when service can be a concern if local bike shops aren’t used to working on ebikes.

    Thanks for the detailed review!
    One request: please tell us the actual steepness of the hills when you climb them (using the Hill Attack app). It's very hard to see how steep the hills are because of camera distortion and the lack of an even horizon line.

    I really appreciate this video! Two follow-up questions if anyone can help:
    1. EBR lists the Packa Genie's torque at 90Nm, but Blix stated the Packa Genie's torque is only 45Nm. I called Blix to clarify, but the person on the phone did not know the torque number. The Radwagon 4 lists 80Nm torque. Does the Packa Genie have more torque than the Radwagon, or barely half of it? Ultimately I'd like to easily climb big hills with my kid on the back.
    2. Your video gives us a glimpse of adjusting the maximum speed in the Packa's computer (up to 45kph/28mph). Blix told me that the Packa Genie cannot increase it's max cutoff speed of 20mph. Is this true or can it be changed? You know...for private property use.
    Thanks

      @@ElectricBikeReview thank you for such a quick response! I just bought the Sol Eclipse after seeing its wonderful specs and color selection. It will be my first ebike. I am also a heavier rider and I know I was lucky to find a cruiser bike with a 750w motor at this price point to ensure ease of use. (I have some steep hills near me, lol) I guess my main question is based on the performance of the 750w on the Genie, do you think the Sol will pack a punch? Also does the Sol Eclipse come with the abilty to adjust max speed?

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  3 роки тому +2

      Yeah, it has the same display and allows for adjustable top speed too. Given that it has slightly larger wheels, the motor won’t get the same mechanical advantage. It also has a barter gear range of 14-28 vs 14-34 here. It performed well during the ride tests, and I hope it meets your needs. Which color did you go for?!

    I just orderd my Blix Cargo bike. My wife has a more casual model.
    Question: I am 6'2'' tall and we plan to carry 2 small children on my cargo. Its interesting to me that these bikes only come in hard-tale/no front shocks. Would you recommend upgrading the bike with front shocks? I have taken my wife bike for a few spins (no shockcks on hers). It has not seemed to be much of an issue. However, with my cargo bike I will obviously be carrying a a lot of weight. Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Do you ever give any e-bikes a bad review?

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  3 роки тому +5

      Yeah. However, I try to be constructive in the way I communicate because a low priced ebike with some compromises is not necessarily bad. I tend not to cover a lot of products that I feel have too many compromises or are at risk of failure. I’ve covered many products that barely made it to market (mostly Amazon ebikes), and then they stopped being available. Here’s one product that had a very nice team but just wasn’t that good. They went out of business electricbikereview.com/rubbee/drive-2-0/
      Every product I review has a list of considerations back at the site. This Blix Packa Genie has 15 cons that are mostly covered in the video, but might be easier or more clear in written form electricbikereview.com/blix/packa-genie/

      Yeah, that’s a good suggestion… I’ve been reading comments that say it’s only $300 or $400 for the extra pack, which is half of what I expected?! So maybe they sell the chargers cheap too?

  • @elliots4370
    @elliots4370 3 роки тому

    How do you see this comparing against the RadWagon 4? Seems like it has higher torque, higher capacity, longer range (with second battery) for $200 less? Rad has the bigger userbase and more accessories. When do you think we'll see a RadWagon 5?

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  3 роки тому +3

      Hi Elliot, I was definitely impressed with the Blix offering here, but I also like what Rad is doing. They chose a very unique proprietary tire size of 22" x 3.3" so it's slightly lower. Rad probably wins in terms of accessories, cross compatibility, brand recognition, and customer service (with the vans and storefronts), but the Blix Packa definitely caught my attention with the double battery, multiple colors, and small-company feel. They've grown a lot, but seem to be doing an amazing job. More reviews from both companies on the way soon ;)

      @@AmitZinmanVideo - I think Bosch makes high-quality, reliable and safe low-power motors (250W - 350W).
      Anything that I install myself will easily be 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, or even potentially 12 times more powerful with at least double the amount of torque to get me up steep hills.
      The only thing that would attract me to Bosch is its sensors and how the bike rides because I like my bicycles to actually feel like bicycles.
      Hub motors with cadence sensors turn bicycles into scooters. I'd stick with mid-drives to feel more connected to the bike.
