The Oh Happy Days Quilt with the Knit 1 Purl 2 is Beautiful and the back is too. Love the Minky on the Back. I Love the Beautiful Day Version with the crosshatch clamshell. Your Beautiful Day Fabric is the Most Gorgeous Fabric Line I have Ever Seen!

😊 I've just spent the past hour 😮 searching for quilting designs for my Sunny Patches BOM quilt (& all my other unquilted tops! Is there a good place(s) to search quilting designs?
@@marcyhenri1177 I like looking on Instagram...you can get some good ideas there. I have some favorite pantograph designers so I will often poke around on their websites to see what new designs they might have available. Sometimes I'll google certain themes if I have something specific. There are so many options!

I really like the idea of complicated patterns on a simple layer cake quilt…thanks for the example. There are several patterns that I would love to try.
You are so welcome!...There are often fussier quilting designs that work wonderfully for those simple quilts!
Perfect timing! I do my own quilting on a sit down long arm and I've dedicated the last 3-4 days of each month to working on just that. So starting tomorrow I'll be quilting up a storm. Thanks for the inspiration and incentive to try some new designs and get to it. Also thanks for another great start to my Saturday.

All the quilts are so beautiful! I think the crosshatch/clam shell is my favourite quilting design. Your Happy Day quilt really makes me want to get started on mine. Hopefully this year.

I really like the density of the knit 1 purl 2 pattern; the Art Deco fan; the happy go lucky flower; and the modern leaf. The fireside minky looks great and really shows off the quilt pattern texture very well.
I always think minky shows quilting so nicely!
Knit 1 Pure 2 looks nice on most any top.

Love the Sunny Patches the best. Favorite LA quilting Boujee and City of Fountains which I could see the centre as a candle with the light radiating from it! ❤ Just gorgeous. Good work David.

Minky backed quilts are so nice!...we definitely use them the most.

Beautiful quilts! It is great fun to see the quilting patterns up close. I didn't realize minky came in wider widths. Excited to try that for a backing as it showcases the quilt designs beautifully.

@@jenreed6646 You'll find more information in the video linked in the description box where I talked about all of the quilt tops. The Oh, Happy Day sampler quilt was made using blocks from my Oh, Happy Day book which is available to purchase through United Notions. The instructions to make the sampler quilt were shared in UA-cam videos and blog posts utilizing the blocks from the book. The two Sunny Patches quilts were made from a BOM I hosted (free BOM). The two Moda Mystery box quilts were made using my Calliope quilt pattern which is another free pattern. And no pattern used for the layer cake quilt.

I loved seeing them after the quilting. I was a fan of the red frame quilt when you make it and it's even more enjoyable with the beautiful quilting job. I have to say I don't know if I could choose a favorite quilting motif as it all depends on the quilt design. It's always like adding another layer of texture to art. Kudos to David for the wonderful quilting and what fun to try some new designs!
It was fun to try some new designs out. There are some I already have on the agenda to use again. =)

The colors just take my breath away and the quilting patterns are making me research each one, since I do my own long arming now! :) I also LOVE the Minky you used for the backings!!! I'm using it for many more of mine as well and couldn't agree with you as well to think of designing a "plain quilt" with only quilting as the main feature!!! The City of Fountains is fabulous! It’s so Art Deco. I could easily see myself using this as a reversible quilt! I also like the Crosshatched Clamshell, because its beautiful design would also make this a reversible quilt in my home-or trailer!😁

I just love getting a quilt back from the long armer - it's like getting a gift !! I loved all of the quilts and the designs - would be difficult to pick just one. I think I am going to try the Moda Fireside backing on my next quilt to try it out - looks yummy. Thanks for sharing with us.

I liked the Crosshatch Clamshell the best. It has both curves and straight line quilting. I think that would complement many patchwork designs. I'm going to ask my quilter to get it. I usually pay for half of a new quilting pattern. I'm happy to share the cost.
