Beerwah Cave | Nature's Marvel in the Heart of Kashmir

Beerwah Cave or Abhinavgupta Cave
-Molvi Ghulam Hasan Shah wrote about the Beerwah Cave in his book, "Tarikh-i-Hasan".
According to Shah, the cave is extremely long, and no one knows where it ends.
The cave is said to be inhabited by an ascetic named Anbud and his 12 followers, who were all reciters of the Vedas.
The cave also has a deep well inside it.
Molvi Ghulam Hassan Khumahi's account of the Beerwah Cave is significant because it agrees with the number of followers of Anbud.

Bravo man. We also visited the cave recently but did not dare to even enter. Kudos to you and please be careful, especially when you don't know the cave map. Very easy to get stuck. Also, be aware that bats carry terrible infections. Exposure to their droppings can be harmful and become a source of numerous zoonotic diseases.

Thanks, Mir sahab, for showing this wonderful cave. Entering this cave needs a brave heart.Previously it was known as Bhata Gouf .I have entered this cave in 1970 with other members and with a local Muslim guide, Kashmiri Hindus of that local area sometimes used to visit this site ,at that time in the inner large area we're you are standing ,there was a shivling and the pots, diyas etc are part of Hindu pooja done at that time. At the entrance of the cave there was carving of Ganesh ji, now painted, Lion and jackals were frequently seen there, the bones must be of the jackals, there we're no stairs at thet time, it was plain mountain. Next time you can also explore..... There are some ruins of stone structures at the top of this hill. Thanks again ❤
