Most of the rental companies tell you you're on your own for any damages to vehicles if taken off of state sanctioned roads in Alaska. A friend vacationed in Alaska 2019 and rented a 4Runner, drove it on a few non-paved roads (80% of Alaskan roads aren't paved) and brought it back full of stone chips and dents. How would they know you ask? GPS trackers on all cars. Driving off-road voids whatever insurance you purchased. With loss of use, depreciation and repainting over $7,000 as a charge back.

It’s so rad seeing my favorite youtuber here in Alaska. I’ve seen that I8 all over anchorage and totally know that igloo as that area is snow machining heaven in the winter! Careful on your way up north cause that highway is not very forgiving with a lot of gravel and haul trucks! Hopefully you enjoy it here in Fairbanks!!

It’s so rad seeing my favorite youtuber here in Alaska. I’ve seen that I8 all over anchorage and totally know that igloo as that area is snow machining heaven in the winter! Careful on your way up north cause that highway is not very forgiving with a lot of gravel and haul trucks! Hopefully you enjoy it here in Fairbanks!!
