      Hello Junayza, I used cocnut water, sugar, yeast and yeasdt nutrient. I go through these individually within the film. Thanks for the subscription, it's appreciated :)

    Hiya Stu, another amazing brew, quick question, any reason why ya using brewing sugar in your brew and all so to carb up with instead of the drops...Cheers 👍🏻

    • @MossHomeandGarden
      @MossHomeandGarden  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks Darren, I use brewing sugar as it doesn't stress the yeast for high ABV brews. The 'home brew taste' that a lot of brewers get is due to using normal household sugar, which the yeast has to work twice as hard to break down. I have used carbonation drops to carb up on some brews in the past, but the sugar is just as effective. I can't carb up with the Flavdrops as they are sugar free. Hope that helps, cheers!

      @@MossHomeandGarden So is brewing sugar the same at light spray malt? I use caster sugar in my brews for carbing up and i do get that home brew taste with mine. Cheers.

      @@leelo4717 Hi Lee, it's not exactly the same, brewing sugar is basically dextrose, which the yeast find easier to deal with. It's to do with molecular structure I believe. I deffo get better results with brewing sugar than with normal sugar.

    Going to have to try this once I have some more turbos under my belt 👍 a question please, just picked up some Young's finings and it's clearing my first brew as I type, they say it only lasts a month from opening. Have you found that it'll last longer than this? I was planning to keep it in the fridge.
    Your vids are teaching me a whole load and I can't ask questions in the TC group on FB because I'm on a month ban 🙄

      Hi Martin, I've had finings over a month, I think they'll be OK. Glad you like the films, what on earth did you get a month ban for!? :)

    I though Coconut intro wine won't mixed until you putting on the taste test so who know, I may tried it myself. Nice job :)
    Is brewing sugar (Dextrose) safe to eat or toxic?

    hello. I would like to try this. I’ve never had tried anything like this. Actually I don’t drink wine/beer or any kind of alcoholic beverages. I because interested in making my own, cause I was recommended TUBA - a Red Coconut Wine for health issues especially for my heart ect.. I’m only 50 lol so I wanna take care of myself. I can’t find TUBA, it’s only in the Philippines. Thanks for your video!!! 🎉

    Hello quick question, I'm going to attempt to make this next week.
    This may be bit of a noob question but, I've notice a lot of sugar is needed for brewing. Is all that sugar going to be consumed in the end, or does most of it get lost in the fermentation process? Basically Im trying to make sure I dont have a brew thats too high in sugar. Please let me know what you think

    • @MossHomeandGarden
      @MossHomeandGarden  Рік тому +1

      Hi Rey, yes if you use good wine yeast, the sugar's will mostly be eaten. The coconut water is very low in natural sugar, so without adding extra the final ABV would be very low, you could always experiment by doing a couple and adding different amounts...

      @@MossHomeandGarden sorry another few questions. Ive gotten everything I need but don't have Yeast Nutrients, or the A & B droplets that you've used.
      Are those fully necessary? Also I'm a bit confused, was the clearing done by the extra A & B droplets that you've added, or did it clear because you rinsed out the residue at the bottom?
      I've only got one fermentation Jar and trying to see which is the best way to tackle this.

      @MossHomeandGarden  Рік тому

      @@ReySandu It will work without the nutrient, you could put a blob of tomato pureé in, which acts in the same way. The A&B finings are only necessary if you want a clear end product, it won't effect the flavour. They are for clearing only.

      When fermentation ends can we add sugar caramel to sweeten the wine rather having dry taste.

    • @MossHomeandGarden
      @MossHomeandGarden  Рік тому

      @@johanndesilva3995 Ah, no that would cause further fermentation, that would actually make the wine more dry, you need to add a non-sugar based sweetener, have a look at your supermarket.
