You know, I thought it was repetitive and too long at some point, but the more it went on the more I started to appreciate the whole thing. Very meditative. The first part before the layered lead is probably my favorite. You've found a very cozy place with this. I love it. We're both of the thall persuasion, and while I was listening I could hear some very sad and desperate melodies that could go with this and take it to a different place, but I guess it wasn't what you had in mind. The only thing I didn't like was the string scratching noises. I don't know if it was just due to the recording setup or intentional, but it was very distracting at times.
I appreciate all the constructive criticism and feedback man, I really do. I’m glad you liked it that much. Yea so the scratching noises were intentional to be more natural, and then the melodies were 100% intended to make you feel that way. This was a pretty heavy and sad song to write. More coming soon! @@mourn_official I get that the intention was to be intimate, but the scratching was a bit much. It's like touching your head to the guitar when playing. It sounds big in the moment, but the extra stuff you hear and feel that way maybe doesn't translate to a recording. Hey, it might. It could be done. There's a ton of stuff, that hasn't been tried yet! On a totally unrelated note. Does Burden/Bearer remind you of a Vildhjarta song in some way?
@@batsali99 I don’t think so, I personally feel that if the scratching/finger sliding noises weren’t in there, it would sound odd and empty to me, like something is missing. And it’s funny you say that, yes I do, but only the ending riff with the bending because for the beginning, vildhjarta doesn’t really do a lot of chugging
