With all of the “high tech” fabrics available today I still keep coming back to The very very best of all outdoor fabrics, Ma Nature’s wool. Duckworth clothing is the majority of clothing on my racks. I am an outdoor lady. Hiking, camping 4 season, back country skiing. Not for thrills and glory, but to study and know Mother Earth. This film is heartbreaking and yet beautiful. Very well done in the picture of what we are facing right now - not in the future - that will be worse if we sustain or current life styles. Thank you Duckworth for your work and your excellent products.
My grandparents and uncles were farmer/ranchers in NE where I lived, and worked, until I was 11 when we moved to MT. My education is in Range Management and Wildlife Biology. I spent decades of my career working in the large Wilderness Areas of MT and WY. Part of this career was monitoring sheep bands deep in the A-B Wilderness and numerous cattle allotments on Public Lands. I appreciate the very hard work it takes to make a go from farming/ranching livelihoods. I also greatly appreciate how livestock are an important way to turn range lands into protein and fiber to feed and clothe the non-agrarian members of society. An crucial detail that is often minimized or lost to society on the whole. I would be remiss if I didn't point out there are appropriate places to graze livestock and other places that perhaps should be left for other purposes. A case in point is the drastic decline of what was one of the most ubiquitous North American wildlife species, the Big Horn sheep, is largely due to disease and easily transmitted from domestic sheep to Big Horn sheep. I've had Border Collies for work mates and companions for many years and love to see them at work too. Take care and I wish you all the best.
This is something we are very aware of and take good care to mitigate! According to our partners at the Montana Wild Sheep Foundation, we led the nation in working with wild sheep organizations to establish a viable and thriving herd of wild sheep adjacent to where our sheep pasture through collaboration and a series of agreements. We are lovers of wild places and the outdoors first and foremost, so we're always working with local, state, private and public groups to ensure we are doing our part.
Just found your channel and website on the Quiet Waters Channel which is also new to me. I have subscribed and will use you products in the future. I lived in Darby on the Chief Joseph Ranch when I started school. The ranch was a sheep and cattle back then (1961) and had a hunting guide on the ranch. I raised sheep for 4H after we moved back to Idaho where I turned 7. I was Marines '75-'77. Semper Fi.
What a treat it is to be working for y'all!

Awesome, yet simple: Family, tradition, responsibility and hard work.
