Esteban was bitten?
Eaten!
Is he dead?
Esteban was eaten!
He was swallowed whole?
Best part of the scene
No, chewed.
Naw, the "NO, chewed!" was prolly the better line haha
IS THAT THING ROLLING ?!
Michaël Koeks what in the fuck is this movie lol?
Get him out of ze fucking vater
You're missing 114 minutes of the movie.
i have no idea how critics didn't like this, it's so many wes anderson fans' favorites
Because critics are all jaded as shit.
it's probably the only wes anderson film that isn't shit
andrew kilik u have awful taste
You would only like this movie if you’d never seen any other film in history. I take that back avatar the last air bender might be worse but it’s too close to tell.
@@cmendr011 Why is this movie bad?
When Willem Dafoe said 'gets heem out of zhe fuhking vuh-ter'
I died
You and Esteban.
Also, when he says, "What zee shit" I absolutely love that.
"Son of a bitch. I'm sick of these dolphins."
hahahahaha :D
I purchased a red beanie because of this movie
I showed this to my gf. She thought it was weird. My b-day that year she had found the LAST PAIR of Zissou Edition Adidas (yes they really made them). Proud to say that same woman is now my wife. Now all I have to do is get them autographed by Bill Murray
@@teamwipe804 A keeper for sure you lucky fucker. That's awesome.
Me too
Same
Guilty
Fun fact: this is the biggest budget Wes Anderson made a film with.
And it’s a timeless classic. Adore every minute of it.
When we were dating, my wife never understood why I loved this movie... but she bought me the LAST pair of the limited edition Zissou Adidas.. I proposed a week later haha, no joke
That's right I have a pair of the yellow, blue and white adidas that say Zissou.. now all I need is to meet and get them autographed by Murray..
catothewiser neither did I!! She literally showed up at my house 4 days later and said “look at what I found” I was pumped to try and get my brother a pair too and that’s when she hit me with it she said “adidas emailed me and told me that this was the last size 12s they will have, the lines discontinued”
So I’ve never worn them, never will. They are still in their white and blue zissou box and still hoping to get B Murray’s autograph some day
Yes, the shoes were really made. Extremely low quantity. I would know, being an online member of team Zissou. I got a ring and everything. Lol But those shoes??.. they were sold out a mere days after being listed, and that was in 2004-05. With that kind of demand and rarity.. id say she's a keeper for sure.
Update: apparently Adidas has since re released them, so there's hope for all of us to run around in a pair!!!
One of the most amusing comments I've read. Seeing that I'm around five years late, I hope you both are still together growing strong.
This damn movie is a gem
Michael Armstrong I loved it the first time I saw it but did not expect it to be a drama so much as a laugh out loud, comedy so I was confused even though I enjoyed it-
Every time since it cracks me up and makes me smile
And action to boot.
Wes Anderson is a genius
That part were bill dances awkwardly always kills me lol
completely went over my head in the cinema, rewatched 11 years later and saw it 3 times in a week. Misunderstood gem.
That Esteban was eaten scene is so sad and funny at the same time
He was bitten?
I like how the huge Yacht snuck up on them.
I love how Goldblum's giant ship is able to sneak up, right on side, of the Bellafonte.
Dude when they’re rescuing him from the island and he’s just standing there while everyone is poppin off shots😂
"Son of a bitch I'm sick of these Dolphins"
I'm so glad this line was included because it's strangely one of my favorites haha. The delivery along with the fucking vermouth lol.
Nevermind the fact that dolphins are rapists...
Agreed but it’s not vermouth. Campari is a bitters, which only adds another layer to his character ‘s general outlook on (his) life.
“I wonder if he remembers me...” very sad scene.
He's been eaten!! IS HE DEAD? my favorite line
What about this guy?
Just throw him over the other side.
+ARTalive01 I know...my fav line from the entire movie. Most ironic line "it was in the paper I assumed they checked their sources..."
martianshoes
Indeed! I just love the humor in Wes Anderson films. But this was one of my favorites.
this film is so underwatery
It's intentional
A lot of folks don't get this kind of humor, but I seriously dig it!
They made soup out of my research turtles
If a Venture Bros movie were to be made Wes Anderson should be the one to make it.
That would be incredible! And DEVO would have to be on the soundtrack.
Wes Anderson is a cinematic genius. I absolutely adore every film he has made, but my favorite is and will always be "Bottle Rocket." It was the first one I saw, and I was hooked instantly. All of his other films, such as "A life Aquatic" are masterpieces in their own right. Each has it's own feel, but they definitely have Wes' stamp on them. I loved "The Darjeeling Limited", "The Royal Tenenbaums", and especially "Rushmore." Bill Murray adds so much to his films, regardless of how big or small a part he plays. He is the BEST part of "Rushmore", without a doubt. Thank you Mr. Anderson...please keep them coming. I have yet to see "Hotel Budapest", but I'm sure it is wonderful. The combination of actors that he gets to work in his films are fantastic. Never ceases to amaze me, and he's from Texas!! We are proud of him to say the least.
Im not too crazy about his stuff lately. Even Moonrise Kingdom, for Wes Anderson whose trademark has been a kind of childlike ambience, seemed unfamiliarly dark for an Anderson movie. Budapest had a few good parts but for the most part didnt stick with me.
Cheers. I don't really follow movies or directors but I liked this movie very much.
I will try to watch those others you mentioned. I have only heard of one of them, and seen none
I know you've probably seen it by now, but the Grand Budapest Hotel is one of the funniest movies I've seen.
Also Moonlight Kingdom is amazing!
My favorite line is when Cate( Jane) says, " I need a baby for this father."😄
also like "cause no one picked me up at the EFFING AIRPORT!"
underrated film. this is anderson’s magnum opus one of the greatest films of all time much better than pulp fiction or joker
Someone with a real thought. I appreciate you
Idk ab pulp fiction but it’s most definitely better than joker
Well done....finding memorable moments in The Life Aquatic must be the easiest task in the world....but choosing between them must be painful.
I could let this movie play on repeat for days and not get tired of it. This movie chills me out.
one of the funniest movies ever...Bill Murray's best, IMHO
Agreed. Bill Murray is an acquired taste. I saw this movie with a pal, and we had opposite experiences. I got right into Murray's comedic cadence from the outset, and picked up on the David Bowie song references early on. I got into the experience totally. Acting was outstanding in this. My pal was more or less "meh". Wes Anderson and Bill Murray match up well wrt their comedic vision.
Do the interns get Glocks?
Raleigh Native They all share one
take it ned.
This is Bill Murray at his finest! So great.
Billy what are they saying? They've taken a hostage obviously they've chosen Ned, (pirates say something in Filipino) now that they know I speak Filipino they seem to be changing their mind. Hahahahahahahahah
what they said:
“which one?”
“hey, bring back the kid! (ned)
instead of taking ned, they took billy
“take this man”
life aquatic would've made the best reality show EVER!
OMG. Is that Jeff Goldbulm playing a scientist?? This is now a must-now-watch!!!
scuttlearmy He’s SOOOO funny in it.
It’s hard to pick memorable moments- the whole movie is a memorable moment.
ESTEBAN WAS EATEN!
NO! CHEWED!! ESTEBAN! ESTEBAAAAAaaaaan!!!
funny thing is this movie was my favorite when i was 3 years old lol, i had good taste
This movie is fucking funny, like The Big Lebowski funny.
2:14 how did they not see that big ass ship
One of my favorite movies of all time.
Most underrated Wes Anderson movie ever. And my favorite.
For sure! I just introduced this movie to my 10 year old son and he LOVES it. It’s my favorite comedy of all time. And so very touching at the end.
I will defend this to the end but this is one of his funniest films
2:32 I don’t know why but what bill Murray says here had me laughing way harder than I think it should have
And then his little wave 😂😂
wait a minute
Jane and Alistair
are really
Hela and Grandmaster
you're right but you shouldn't say it
Confused that this isn't 1 hour and 59 minutes.
i think this might be my favorite wes anderson piece
My list: 1) Life Aquatic 2) Grand Budapest 3) Isle of Dogs
croinkix for me it's
1. Moonrise Kingdom
2. The Royal Tenenbaums
3. The Life Aquatic
4. The Grand Budapest Hotel
5. The Fantastic Mr. Fox
6. The Darjeeling Limited
7. Isle of Dogs
8. Bottle Rocket
Still haven't seen Rushmore. Moonrise Kingdom is my favorite movie, period. Not just by Wes Anderson.
It’s so inconceivable that it bombed in the box office but that’s show business babey (I guess 😒)
My favorite Wes Anderson character.........Bill Murray.
I really didn’t like this movie much the first time I saw it. It’s one of those you have to see at least one more time, once you know the plot and can sit back to appreciate the little moments.
I love the scene when they storm the island like a bunch bad asses! I replayed that part so many times.
Bill Murray is so quietly crazy, ALmost deadpan hilarious but not deadpan. Murray's just brilliant comedic but I don't think he thinks he's brilliant comedic. After the first season of Saturday Night Live I never watched another season.
0:43 My favorite line in this entire scene
That music piped so hard 😄
Cousteau and his cronies... Gets me every time... 😂
1:50 Locke from Games of Thrones.. Son of a bitch..
"get him out of se fuckin woter" xD
These are indeed all great clips of scenes… But you could have done better
Ahahaha I was hoping this line would be in this video. I love it. Moments before, he is unaware that an electric jellyfish is even a thing, then he says he's never seen so many in all his life. Every line in Wes' movies is gold.
"We fuckin' stole it man" - The Bond Company Stooge
ESTEBAN WAS EATN!
"Holy shit-SON of a bitch!" Only Bill Murray.
I really want a "team zissou intern" shirt
When somebody asks me what my favorite film is I tell them is this, or it's that. Usually something I'm feeling in the context of that moment in time.
But ultimately I know what it is :)
“Son of a bitch, I’m sick of these dolphins” lmao
“Get him out of the fucking water”
I don't know about you guys but this is my favourite Wes Anderson movie!
3:17 is the best
The Life Aquatic | Memorable Moments
Filipino pirates wearing imperial Japanese headbands is how you know they’re outlaws
Throwing the Air tanks and being surprised they don’t float is my favorite. 😂😂😂
This is in my top 5 of worst films I’ve ever seen. Great cast, but a horrendously awful film.
Cool, you have a horrible taste in movies
@@jpeg204 pshh please, I’ve seen a lot of movies and a lot of shit movies to know when one stinks no matter who is acting in it.
what the hell did i just watch??? I DONT FUCKING CARE CAUSE IT WAS FUCKING AWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESOME \ O /
William Dafoe was much scarier in The Grand Budapest Hotel
Steve Zissou is the ultimate Boomer
The answer to your question of what a Wes Anderson action-adventure film would look like
When he starts to move to the music thats some funny shit.
who is excited for isle of dogs
Just throw him over the other side
😂😂😂😂😂
Best movie ever !!
(Shrug) probably the same dudes...
Get him out of ze fucking water!
The greatest movie of all time
I never get bored from watching this
Fuck, they wired it!
Omg the movie was soo strange and stupid
Esteban was bitten?
EATEN!
...is he dead?
YES!
...he was swallowed whole?
NO! CHEWED!
hahahahahaha man I forgot how good this movie was
I remember seeing this in the theaters when it first came out. Strange movie. I might have to see it again since it's been awhile.
Favorite movie of all time.
4:08 Now I need to go see if it would mutate with Dinosaur DNA so I can use it as a underwater survalence for Jurassic World
that scene with the music in the helmet was just too funny
Excellent compilation of my favorite Wes Anderson film.
I'm glad you all liked my movie...
This will always be my favorite Wes Anderson movie… I remember getting the trailer and being so excited for its release. I didn’t get it the first time I saw it I went with my brother but I knew I still liked it so I went to see it twice in the theater… The second time I cracked my ass up and have adored it ever since
Is the CGI in this movie supposed to look dated and kinda bad? I know that Wes has his eccentric movie styles, so I don’t know. I thought the overall movie was alright though, worth a watch.
And my friends were like, did you just declare war on Hezbullah and Hamas. I said we are an aquatic team that trys not to be involved with international polotics.
I didn’t like this movie that much, my least favourite Wes Anderson film but that “I wonder if he remembers me” scene is truly one of my favourite Wes Anderson scenes
no mater how many years its still a damned best movies ever
When was the last time this whirlybird was served?
3:22 One of my fav scenes
I HATE THIS MOVIE! I PREFER EXPLORING THE REEF WITH JEAN MICHEL COUSTEU
#EXPLORINGTHEREEF
RIP Jacques Cousteau
best Wes Anderson movie by far
This is my all tune favourite film, desert Island shit
