Hey Wayne, what a great waterway it is. So many options and places to go. Lots of exploring needs to be done there when its less windy, my small boat can only handle so much chop.
Had alot of them under the ones i hooked aswell. They wised up quick but if u know more spots than me u will do ok. Ive only bn there twice so not many options for me spot wise 🤣🤣 good luck in there mate get into em 🙌
Great session Lowy , got a few, bet ya dad was happy The Hawkesbury certainly got some potential. Love to throw the swag in & go for a few days. Looks like heaps of places to pull up Cheers
Stacks of places u could pull up at mate but id b surprised if its legal to camp anywhere there 🤣 u cant do much these days for free. Heaps of fishing options there but in all types of areas aswell 👍 an the fish were for the missus old man.He wasnt happy last time i threw the leatherjackets back 🤣 so kept him an easter feed of them this time.
Thanks alot Reg. Fishing is fishing i guess, finding them is usually the hardest part and catching the easy bit. Well when there hungry its easy, happy easter mate 👍
Thanks mate an its on im wearing a waistbelt pfd 👍 i was checked twice in the last video in the same area. An while i was catching those kings maritime was 200 metres away.
Was pleasing to get some fish for easter mate thats for sure. Not a bad fishery there from what ive seen in my 2 trips. Cant wait to have a decent day in there no wind. Might be a while but 🤷♂️
I was supposed to have bn back already but the weather has bn bad for my little boat. If the rain doesnt wreck it again this week i should be back there soonish mate 🙌
Happy easter mate. I should probably explain some things better like what ive changed too an why etc i think of this stuff once im home 🤣 definitely will try to keep it in mind in upcoming videos. Maybe not the next video its already bn recorded today just needs editing but after that il do my best to remember 🙌
Hi mate great videos im new to fishing and we have learnt a lot from you with my son. I have never been to Pittwater before. Where is that pier where you caught the king fish if you would like to share. Thanks in advance
Hey mate glad u enjoy the videos, thats only my 2nd time in pittwater aswell so im not even sure what any of the places are called in there. I did notice 1 thing but that the pier said private property so most likely noone can fish off it or the bank there. It had signs up aswell.
Gotta love the kingy fight Andrew👍They were kind to you around those moorings. On another note, do you know anyone who repairs Minn Kota's ? Mine has just started slipping a gear when turning left under load/propulsion. It will go okay at low speed, but anything above speed 4, it just slips and you can hear the plastic teeth chatter😩 Might have to have a crack at it myself if there's nobody around. Looks like I'll be drifting for a while😂
I was definitely lucky pete. Easily could've had me if they wanted to. I had to repair my own motor I couldn't find anyone local to fix it. It was the steering housing but nothing to hard. Just take 1 out and new 1 in. Your issue might be a harder fix. An dont worry i got a cracker smapper today drifting an a bream even crebo will froth over 🤣
Morning Andrew. I was just going back through more of your videos mate never get tired of Watching and learning. But I was wondering what fish finder are you using ? You seem to be able to Read it very good mate. Hope you and your family had a good Easter
Thanks Reg, its just a lowrance elite ti2. Older model now but it does the job for me well. I can find fish an structure so thats all i pretty much use or need. 👍 happy easter
as always loving your vids, thanks for answering my question about the technique you use to use lures, can i ask what rod/reel you use ? or what you look for ? . not like i haven,t fished before, given im almost 64 lol, but always keen to learn. frank from Sydney. ( love to catch up on the water sometime, )
The main rod an reel ive been using is a shimano twin power 3000 an a jackall bpm rod 7,3 4-10 lb. Does everything i need it to really. Ive had that combo for ages now geez itts caught some fish mate. I light i rod thats not to soft in the tip, a fast taper is my preferred option casts better and has better feel when using vibes. With reels i just want something light with decent drag. Certate is a nice reel aswell expensive but u get what u pay for. Im like u Frank always keen to learn more each trip out there its why i keep fishing besides just being outdoors its the learning i like. Keeps my brain working and thinking 👍 i dont get down that way too much but ive been enjoying the trips ive had so i might catch u out there mate. Its a great area from what ive seen an the fishing quite good also.
@@Lowysfishing thanks for taking the time to reply, shimano have always been a favorite, never heard of a jackall bpm rod , will have a look. happy easter, frank
@@djmini2numpty141 mo tackle may have those jackall bpm rods. An i dont mind either shimano or daiwa really as long as it does what its meant to. No worries replying mate il always get back to people when i get the chance 👍
What was it like heading into pitwater. My maps show its shallow through there is there anything to wach out for or is it pretty safe.. submerged rock and stuff is what i mean.. been wanting to head there for ages just never nad the chance yet. Great vid mate
Hey mate, no dramas at all just dont go too close to the edge. I can definitely remember 1 place where it shallowed up an id say its where u just said. I was probably only 10 metres off the bank though. I went wider on the way out and no problems at all 👍
btw, for those who are looking at spot locks etc, can you give a quick explanation as to what you do on the remote once you have hooked up ? tis a mystery prob not just to me :)
If im drifting along an hook up an want to stay where i am all i have to do is press the anchor button on the remote and it keeps me in the same spot. That way all i have to do is worry about fighting the fish not the boat running into other boats etc also handy if i find a wreck or any structure i want to fish. I just press the anchor button and it holds the boat in place. When i want to move i can press any button and it disables the spotlock.
@@Lowysfishing thanks for that, like i mentioned, tis black magic to those who dont have it or know of it. based on that, seems a better setup than dropping an anchor all the time . do these draw heaps on a battery ? i do have 2 on my tinny. ( sorry, have goggled, but always appreciate users experiece) btw, happy easter, great feed beckons
@@djmini2numpty141 i have a 100 amp hour battery an it lasts me all day really. It all depends on tidal flow mainly. The harder it has to work the quicker it chews up battery. Much better than dropping an anchor all the time thats certain.
