The original commercial for Ocarina was very controversial because the text in it originally read "And in the end, willst thou get the girl, or play like one?" there's actually a promotional poster with that written on it.
@@hylianchampion8867 We know that Link left Hyrule at the end of OoT and eventually made it back to become a Hylian Knight before he died so it's entirely possible they got together after he came back.
They did actually redo that Ocarina of Time ad for the 3DS version. It was one of the promo videos they let you download onto the system from the eShop
That majora's mask commercial is like the creator forgot whether he was making a commercial for Majora's Mask, or the movie Akira. So they just did both at once.
That's cringey but not what I would call the cringiest. That belongs to the OoT trailer in its original format. It's aged so, SO badly. Mainly because of what text was used at the end.
To anyone who ever doubted or side-eyed the English voice actress for BotW, let this commercial montage stand as undisputable proof that Princess Zelda has had a British accent since the '90s.
The issue I have with Zelda's English VA in BotW is that she sounds like an American trying to sound British, and it sounds so fake to me. Just like the English VAs for the king and Impa clearly are young people trying to sound old.
@@blitzgirl6522 for me, it's not her accent, as much as it is her intonations. They directed her to use that breathy, almost sleepy sounding anime ingenue voice. I can't stand it. Square Enix did the same thing with Yuna's VA in FFX, and it drove me nuts.
