Ham Radio - Delta Loop Antenna 20m testing at the park

- Today I was trying to get more used to the Delta Loop antenna setup at the park. It was not the best day to do a setup like that because it was quite windy and I could not elevate the tripod more because I was afraid that would knock down the antenna. But over all I love this antenna.

@@VE3DAL Yes agree with you about buying Antennas. Back to Days when I used to had my Base Station I used to buy a lot of Antennas to see how they work and which one to satisfy my needs.

Is your Delta loop directional? I want to use 450ohm window line,for other bands in vertical position dx.
The direction is front and back but also works with some side radiation as well. Sometime ago I deploy horizontal using some trees at the cottage and worked even better than vertical. I will try that again when ever I have a chance. Let me know how the 450ohm line works for you. 73's my friend.

I had to do some tuning once in awhile at this point is about 6.1 meters each portion. It will varies depending what kind the material you use.

This is a DIY project. Made of pvc pipes, carbon fiber fishing pole, speak wires and the tripod is from a studio lights. The only thing that I bought was the 4:1 balun for CA $42. Very easy to build and great performance.
