One of my favorite things about this game is traveling between the different ecosystems and climates. The fact that I can go from snowy mountains to swamps is pretty cool.
An awesome thing about the RDR2 ambience is that none of the animal sounds are "piped in", if you can hear an animal call or a bird chirping, it's because they're there.
Well, there's bears in the distance that are just audio (not really correlating to actual spawned bears) and the game has Whippoorwill calls but no Whippoorwill birds. But yeah most of them are present
I remember when I randomly heard a noise I had never heard before. It was my fifth or sixth replay, and another run to doing 100% completion. It sounded like a baby. I had never heard it before. Probably repeating myself from comments on other walks, but this world is why I stick with RDO-to absorb the mood, views, ambient sounds, and not even bother with missions 😄 Also, great job anticipating where people might want to pause for a better view-exactly as I was thinking “wish we could take a look over that ridge,” he turned and walked over and did lol
Is there any other game where just walking around the world is binge-worthy 5 hour content? I'm here at 4am contemplating life watching this on new years and I don't think there's any other VIDEO GAME that could do this to me.
The only emotion is cursing the sluggish movement system. Oh you’re close to a cliff and want to turn around? Sorry you must walk/fall off cliff before you can turn around. Seriously why do I have to take a step or two forward to be able to turn 180 degrees? Garbage.
Because you cannot do an instant 180 in real life if you already have momentum? Run, fast, into a wall and perfectly turn around last instant. If you can, you prove your point. If you cannot, you bang your head hard. And fix it in the process, maybe.@@navigator8222
