In 1927, Winston Churchill wrote to his wife Clementine, “I am becoming a film fan.” He had projection equipment installed at Chequers, the country home of British prime ministers, in 1943, and at his family home Chartwell in 1946.
Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law.
By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.

Magnificent, as a student of modern history I salute you, I have studied most of his books including The River War, have quite a library, including his 6 volumes of WW2, your analysis is breathtaking and has opened another view for me , WELL DONE, as an Australian I am envious of your students because we do not have your presence, God Bless, keep up the GREAT work, 8-)

The incident happened at a private event where Gov. Bill Lee and Dr. Larry Arnn spoke in front of an audience on the future of Tennessee’s education plan. In a video capturing the event, Dr. Arnn belittled Tennessee’s teachers, saying, among other things, “teachers are trained in the dumbest parts of the dumbest colleges in the country.”

It’s a crime against humanity that the current generation in England has vilified the GREATEST Briton who has ever lived.
Arguably, that is all a consequence of his traducing of Chamberlain in 1948, encouraging opinion to side with his career, then that generation died out, and the truth helpful to protect Churchills reputation was not being heard, that it was Cannings war, Chamberlains war, not Churchills.
the global nightmare that Churchill and his "masters" plunged the world into was the greatest crime against humanity that ever occurred.
I don't think he drove Chamberlain crazy, whilst Health Minister Chamberlain thought Churchill who he was in collaboration with would attempt to take all the credit, precisely what happened relative to 1945 in 1948.
Perhaps we should’ve done a deal and let the rest of the world sort it out !!

Assuming you're either British or American, yes you did. Nothing we the rest of the world can ever do will ever repay the sacrifice. Yet it was the only right and moral choice. If you're an American, I also have to add that America was two years late and indeed reluctant to join the greatest struggle for good the world has ever known. Which is worth noting in case you feel smug

Loaned everything to the Brits that paid it all back ( completely in 2007 )
However rebuilt the enemy countries for Free.
I suppose destroying the country was the end game really and you can look at history to see why !

Churchill was part of a complicated British effort to get the US into a war to support their Empire. Churchill worked with FDR to find ways to get the US into the war.

- At the very least, Churchill was trying to live up to British obligations to allies. Churchill had warned of Hitler long before he held the reins to "the Empire". people like you who lived then were calling him a warmonger and saying "Oh Hitlers not that bad. Churchills exaggerating" Go eat another Tide Pod.
@@hey_joe7069 Chamberlain was called a warmonger, and he wrote of the danger of Hitler before 1933.
I think churchill enjoyed the war as an emotion
he enjoyed the power to slaughter 100s of thousands of innocent people at a time. Churchill was motivated by pure will to power and openly rejected morality.
