Health & Medicine on Khan Academy: No organ quite symbolizes love like the heart. One reason may be that your heart helps you live, by moving ~5 liters (1.3 gallons) of blood through almost 100,000 kilometers (62,000 miles) of blood vessels every single minute! It has to do this all day, everyday, without ever taking a vacation! Now that is true love. Learn about how the heart works, how blood flows through the heart, where the blood goes after it leaves the heart, and what your heart is doing when it makes the sound “Lub Dub.”

low key, that drawing in the beginning was really impressive.
😊😊
I am also a nursing student and not only did you help me get an A in microbiology and get into the program, but now you're helping me through the program! You are an amazing teacher and immensely talented. Just as Albert Einstein said "if you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." You explain everything so simply and I thank you so so much! You are great, Sal!
Sal is also a good artist.Wel done with that human face .
Deskore

This is exactly how my drawings go. "Let's add a mustache... some glasses..." LOL
Don’t you mean sideburns, cause he added sideburns not glasses
That person looks great to be drawn on spot

Wow, I have been reading this chapter in my paramedic book about the pulmonary system and didn't get it at all, watched this video and it all makes perfect sense now. This dude is awesome.
I LOVE YOU MAN!! Thanks a lot..really helps with my anatomy and physiology exam.
Regards from the UK

I simply love you. When I found your lessons here I started to believe that I will pass my exam:) Thank you
your way of explaining things is amazing, although it's away from my field but it was so easy to absorb...Thank you
Hats off to Khan academy for giving free education
I'm studying here as a medical student in sweden, coming from the states i have to learn everything in swedish, but omg, u have described everything in such a way that i can explain it in my own words in swedish! U are awesome! thanx for the wonderful lecture!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! My teacher did such a poor job teaching me, and your videos really helped me understand! This is really going to help me get through biology.😊
Mine too, she really sucks. I think she wants everyone to fail. The first day in her class, she was so excited at how many people came back to re-take the class!
Thanks to Sal!
No teacher want the students to insult another teacher and appreciate him or her.
Sal, thank you so much fr this. I`m in a first year Human Body Systems class and your videos have been wonderful in preparing myself for second semester.
Don’t you mean FOR ITS FOR NOT FR, FR MEANS FOR REAL AND IT WOULDN’T MAKE SENCE “Sal, thank you so much for real this.” SEE DOESN’T MAKE SENCE
which class you're in now?
@@TravvyPatty90210 sense*. Plus this comment was made 10 years ago. Who used "fr" as "for real" in 2012?
@@shareefasalma757 Lmao I did it as a joke sorry if it made you mad
@@TravvyPatty90210 owh np. no it didn't, just wanted cool you down😂
I learn more from this than I did from my actual class.... thank you so much.
I am a nursing student at Penn State. My professors a awesome and all, but we can only cover so much in one hour of lecture (per week) and then the lab is more doing things then listening. I am not sure why you post these videos or who you are, what you do... But you are definately a reliable resource that is helping me understand what I need to know to not only get good grades and pass my exams, but also you do it in such a way that I can remember it and apply it in my nursing. Thank you
While watching these videos I was also thinking about my brain how did it know to do all these stuffs. It's really fascinating and I think I will have sleepless night now.
Sal the artist
This really helps thank you so much i have finals next week n i know this will help

7:12 That's what she said. :)
I'm a third year Microbiology student and Khan Academy has not only helped me pass but achieve my aim of coming first in every class for the past two years. Not only that, I'm a teacher's pet because I'm always the first to understand any new concept and am able to help my fellow classmates(they don't know my secret of course, feel guilty about it...sometimes). Anyway, thank you Mr.Khan and the entire Khan faculty.

I am a senior respiratory therapy student, and Im just wondering if there is video about Mechanical Ventilation?
awesome!!!! TY!!! This will help me so much on my science project that is due on Monday!! You should be an art teacher lol
More Bio...!!!
Thanks Sal
The right one is bigger than the left because the heart takes up some of the space that goes there. Also notice that you got your left and right lungs mixed up. It is probably because you looked at the diagram and associated the right side on the diagram to the right side of the body but keep in mind that the guy/girl in the diagram is facing you. So his/her right is your left. So the "left" side of the diagram you see actually represents the right side of the body.
Fooo. Lol. But this is great it helped me a lot!! I always watch your videos when i have a test for every subject!
YOU ARE AMAZING!
