Lord of the rings was created by one man, not only that he created his own language for his series. Isn’t that more amazing?
LOTR is a simplistic fairy tale following the Heroes Journey formula to a T.
AoT is revolutionary in its story reveal as to what is inside the basement and exploration of the human condition.
I don't mean to put down LOTR but you have to be familiar with both IPs equally in order to objectively have the proper insight - not just be exposed to one and not the other.

@@digital90s lotr created the hero journey genre, in fact lotr is the reason a lot of shows and movies get their inspirations from. They copy Tolkien’s formula and try to add their own twist not that it’s a bad thing.
@@drewpaupanekis4710 lets be honest here. Who wrote a better plot? i've seen lotr, its good, but its plot is not even in the same wheelhouse. don't lie to me or yourself. we all know who tha goat is. While creating a language is very impressive, it adds a frankly unnecessary depth. honestly you might've had a point if you brought up george rr. but you didn't, cause you wanna fanboy about a fake language.
@@Hank_Honk George rr Martin didn’t even finish his own series, that wouldn’t make a strong point. The fantasy genre would be nothing without Tolkien books. Tolkien has actually experienced war and related in his books meanwhile the writer of aot writes of war as if he been in one. He thinks he knows the ins and outs of humans during wartime, he doesn’t understand the psychological elements of war and ptsd.

Just found your channel, thanks for the reactions. I'm writing this after you've already finished the series: I was interested about how the gentleman, Dre, immediately blurted out "Annie" after seeing the Female Titan & repeats it several times. He says he thought it might be Annie in the wrap-up, without really saying why. (I knew it was her straight away watching the original run: I had to explain my reasoning to my friends that didn't see the resemblance.) The lady, Shruti, does not react at all, seeming to not hear Dre the number of times he says "Annie," and instead starts to list an entire unseen Armin family tree, rather than ask Dre, "Why do you think it's Annie?" She seemed to think that due to slightly different hair length, (Mind that Annie's bob-length hair is always in a "fuse", or tiny ponytail) it wouldn't be Annie.
You discuss titans' many abilities; intelligence, strategy, fighting chops -- all of which are Annie's -- but never say why Dre immediately & repeatedly mentions Annie's name. I just watched thru episode 20, and you guys seem to go way out of your way to not mention Annie, though in the wrap for that chapter; all the "Who could it be?" deduction/process of elimination questions you guys come up with is almost funny, cos you're so obviously describing Annie, while desperately trying to keep her name out of the conversation. 😂
In this ep, you guys were praising Annie's incredible combat skills & were disappointed she wasn't joining the big survey corps adventure. Dre makes a guess that's right on the money -- or at least an interesting idea -- but then you discuss it no further? Blank, like Dre never said anything; it was very odd. I wonder if you all happened to hear it was Annie, beforehand (It was a huge deal all around the internet & has a billion memes) & didn't want to give it away, or look like it hadn't already watched/been spoiled? It's a very common dilemma to watch a hugely popular show long after its run and unconsciously be spoiled in certain places. And it's really ok to simply say so ("Hey, just to let everyone know, we were spoiled about Female Titan's identity."), rather than play-act badly, and awkwardly, unconvincingly dance around the the 500-pound gorilla... or Female Titan. 😄
