Notice the white big Monkey all over the trailer and the main banner itself. He is Lord Hanuman, a legendary god himself who was a devotee of lord Ram and plays the most important role in the theology.
I will also request you to react to The Legend of Hanuman animation series which is equally brilliant.

Ramayana is an original Indian historical epic written by Valmiki about the life of Ram , the king of Ayodhya ...Valmiki wanted to write of such a contemporary person who can be a role model of future generation on how a person should live his life. Ram had all and more qualities what Valmiki required for his epic. It is believed that the story of Ramayana takes place 14,000 years ago and some may argue about the mythical elements for not being a history...let me clear that confusion too...the definiton of history or rather called itihasa according to Indian culture is an incident that definetely happened in the past with some story or fantastical element to make it more appealing , which gives us knowledge and advice on DHARMA,ARTHA,KAAM,MOKHSHA (righteousness, wealth or prosperity, desire and salvation) is called itihasa...the word itihasa itself is actually iti ha asa meaning 'that is how it happened ' or 'thus it happened'
