    This video is a godsend, I was just about to buy inline fans for extraction, but you saved my butt, so to speak.

    Are the exhaust fans basically always spinning, or how much % of the time are they on you think? I don’t AC to heat, I use space heaters, so only have one fan that could be mounted either way. My room is roughly equal in size, but I have a much smaller fan (100mm fan made for bathroom ventilation) that I’ve put on a timer. I know I need to upgrade the airflow but don’t know exactly to what yet. A very timely video, thanks!

      They are always spinning. Checkout out online course if you need any more assistance!

    Great video! i have a positive pressure grow room because i hated the idea of replacing my fans or needing to constantly clean them, they have been working practically non-stop for 3 years.
    Hey any idea of what type of fan does well inside a grow room? because i would like one to mix the air a bit and get rid of stale air pockets in some corners but they need to be able to handle the humidity.

      I thought about this, and wanted to use the internals of a centrigufal fan that is exposed. Sorta like a ceiling fan. Anything you use in a fruiting room is going to get caked in spores.

      @@OakandSpore "the internals of a centrifugal fan that is exposed" interesting but i don't quite get it, i may be wrong but don't those fans work in part because they are encased, you know difference in pressure and whatnot. I wouldn't mind cleaning spore buildup if the thing is waterproof because it would be very accessible right there in the grow to wipe down every now and then.
      I once toyed around with the idea of a ceiling fan but with a long hanging shaft so the blades are in the grow but motor is outside so it stays nice and dry but i think a shaft that long would shake too much idk, maybe with some well placed bearings.

    how will the ac maintain teperature if the room is negatively pressured ?

    • @OakandSpore
      @OakandSpore  Рік тому +1

      The ac heats the preconditioning room which feeds the fruiting room. My AC unit has something like 11kw of heating power.

    Wow...didn't that Chinese wall system come with enough R-value options, so you didn't have to drape insulation over it?

  • @henriqueberlinckdutravaz806

    Hi. Why don't you use positive pressure in your growth rooms? Instead of blowing air out blow in and put a simple filter in the entrance of the air. It will keep clear your tube and ventilation system.

    • @OakandSpore
      @OakandSpore  Рік тому +5

      Because spores are an issue, and positive pressure means spore everywhere out every gap and crack.

    It seems like you would be sucking contaminants into your fruiting room, I am a newbie but you would think that you would want positive pressure

    • @BlueFox61
      @BlueFox61 6 місяців тому

      If your blocks are contaminated, then they will fall to contam faster. This isn't a lab room where you want that to be positive pressure it's a fruiting room where you have high humidity and want to cycle fresh air ASAP.
      Basically if your blocks are good you have 2-5 flushes before they really start to contaminate, and by then your yeilds are so low it's not worth it to keep them anyways.
      But yes the grow room will get dirty and you should clean it in between harvests or once weekly at most. Also, the negative pressure helps expels the spores not into your space

    The "best" fan just happens to have an affiliate link... imagine that. Of course, it's been my experience that Amazon never carries the "best" of anything. What other snake oil do you recommend to others for dirty pocket change?
