  • This is a super delicacy that I had only tried once before, but today I am searching @FreelanceJamaica yard to find some more of this awesome treat! It's a favourite all over the world, you might know it as sprouted coconut, coco bread, maca de coco, kenthos, geowins, manzanita de coco, hawaiian candy, combong, faha, growie, uto...if I missed what your people call it please comment below!
    Check out Freelance Chucky's airbnb for a great place to stay in the Portland Parish, where you will always have free coconut water to drink ;)
    bless up,
    Matthew

    Aka da jelly, or coconut apple...If you catch them just right. It will fill the entire cavity and at rightime it is super soft and can almost taste like a cotton candy. Ps that phase doesn't last long and center will start to rot. If you split a rotting one you will never forget that smell. It's one a different level haha

    Coconut bread aka Coconut candy 😋 😍. Yes Matthew its like the texture of apple and bread. You had me smiling seeing you doing this video. I'm so glad I found your channel years ago. It's reminds of so many childhood favorites. And brother glance up into the trees when you're by Chucky under them 🌴 those things are huge if they hit someone at that hight. One love from beautiful Trinidad and Tobago ❤ 🇹🇹.

    Jeez Matthew, I grew up in Jamaica with coconuts all around me and I've never seen or even heard of Sprout Coconut❗️ I love the white meat, jelly or hard and it must be thrilling to open up a coconut and discover that round ball❗️ Great great Vlog❗️❤️

    • @RasKitchen

  • @MachuPichuu
    @MachuPichuu Рік тому

    That other big sprouted one was probably the best. You want a full sprout and not to have water. As the nutrients are absorbed into the sprout. The meat will also get thinner. They are better when they have roots too.

    Watch survivor man the series. The ones he got were half planted and the sprouts were knee high. No water but the entire cavity was a solid fruit that would separate from the coconut itself.
