@@shroomygod3921 if I had to do a full lap of the track to catch back up to you, you could time it right so it gets to you just after you cross the finish line on the final lap. But you'd need to know what your lap times are and how fast blue shells lap times are
Idk how the ghost works in deluxe as I don't have the game, but are you able to use your item when the ghost appears to take it? If not, it explains why they couldn't use their horn.
From what I've seen, as soon as the ghost appears, it immediately takes your item, and a second or two later, gives it to the player who used the ghost. That's probably why they couldn't use their horn.
I know by this point it's probably second nature to be checking behind you, the minimap, and in front of you at all times, but it's truly astounding how many shock dodges you get. I've only ever gotten one on SNES rainbow road, and that was by accident anyway.
I remember when I used to play mario kart Double Dash on Gamecube with my older brothers, and we lured away some blue shells aswell just like you can lure away red shells in curves. Good times....
