Hey PokeFriends! I hope this video helps you out! If you are wondering if a fake Pokemon game is playable, here is a video on that topic: ua-cam.com/video/eyfiPxCjzCA/v-deo.html
PokeObsession Hi PokeObession, I need some help, I have this platinum which is almost like what u explained in this video however, my code ends with 2 instead of 8 and I could not transfer Pokemon from Leafgreen. I do not know if it’s either my Leafgreen not authentic ( but looks pretty authentic to me from other guides) or this platinum that is not authentic or maybe it’s jus becoz of the slight damage on the surface of the cartridge. Both are second hand as I could not find it from retailer anymore..
Your heartgold and soulsilver video helped me to prove my soulsilver wasn't fake! I am so thankful! But I don't know if it happens the same with my heartgold. I checked it and everything seemed ok but then I played it and after 3 h in the middle of a battle the screen froze and I had to exit the game. Do you think it is fake? I'd like you to answer this question, but what I really wanna know is: if it is fake, will it damage my soulsilver's game or my 3ds?
Another easy way to spot a fake is by looking at the engraved Nintendo logo on the back of the cartridge. The “o” on “Nintendo” on a fake cartridge will be a perfect round circle. Whereas the o on an authentic copy will take the shape of an oval shaped circle. Hope that makes sense :)
Do not feel bad! I made this video after I opened my order from Mercari. If you can, you can report the account or listings as counterfeit and Mercari usually enforces their zero-tolerance policy on counterfeits.
Some other tidbits. If you look at the gold pins on the back. The fake doesn't have a shine to it, like the real one does. Also, if you look at the top edge of the cartridge the real one should have a notch like all authentic DS games. Unfortunately, the 100% way of telling if its fake/real is opening up the cartridge (i do not recommend this however) and looking at the circuit board. A real circuit board will have gold nintendo writing on it and will have 2 gate chips. A fake one will not have gold stamp writing and will 2 gate chips & 1 simulator piece. I've encountered some scenarios where the sticker was real, and the backs look really good, but games kept freezing and the gold pins looked different...
Looks like I just bought a fake. Definitely going to request a refund before they send it. Wasn't one of those super cheap listings either, I was convinced.
Phew! Just checked my cartridge now to make sure it was real. I bought my copy (preowned) at a video game store in Australia when I was a child, I was certain they would do their due deligence and verify but a small part of me worried because of the stories I had heard. Thanks for demystifying my concerns.
Dude you saved me getting scammed for 65$ as soon as I bought it I searched up how to tell if it’s fake or not and turned out the one I just bought was fake. But was able to cancel in time Big thank you!!
i think i may have bought a fake pokémon pearl from amazon back in 2017. i honestly can’t really tell from looking at the physical cartridge, but i must say it’s a very good game, never had any issues with it. zero. none. no freezing, crashing, etc.
THanks bro, saved my ass! I was trying to find a copy and after asking for a more realistic price for lose cartridges the seller immediately said yes which made me look up the video. His cart was the same fake one as yours in the video and i don't doubt he knew. Can't have nice things nowadays without people asking for a leg and an arm or duping you or both.
I've had a copy of platinum sitting around for a good long while. Never played it but I had my suspicions that it was fake. It looks almost 100% genuine, but the arrow on the bottom was engraved into the cartridge and not stamped and the game would constantly get stuck in my DS. Looking through all my games, it suprised me that the arrow was what gave the fake away lol. (Also if you notice, the white background where the code is on the fake game not only is bigger in size than on the real game, but the white color they use actually fades into the white used on the actual game art, specifically just under the ESRB logo. On Real cards there is a faint but noticeable separation between the two)
What about the form of the gray rectangle at the side of DS? Were the lines perfect at the inside of the figure? Apparently reproductions have perfect rectangles while legit games don't. Also the o of "Nintendo" is usually a perfect circle in reproductions.
Another thing to look out for: Look at those DS logos. Look at the screens. Notice how on the official cart, the bottom screen is slightly slanted, not perfectly centered. This video is so helpful~! Just got Authentic Pokemon Platinum for 145$, and yes and it's in Complete in Box. It's already hard to find Authentic one now, especially in Thailand. 😆
Hate the fact that I got two of these, when they were sold normally long ago. One for my Bday, another for Christmas two years later. Lost both somehow. Annoyed about it since I also lost my original HeartGold too. Edit: Came back because I'm trying to find a new replacement copy so I don't have to only go through Diamond, my only legal copy left of Gen 4. It's helping a lot!
I am super pissed right now. Ordered one on eBay for $150. Came in a box, in the box was a plastic package that was opened. Hey bro, just watched a couple vids on your channel! Amazing content... I had a question, i think it may be a stupid/hilarious one. I know that authentic games have a bitterness to the plastic. Would you be willing to try a taste test between a real and a factually known fake? Again I know this request sounds stupid AF, but im genuinely curious if the fakes have the weird bitter taste authentics are known to have or not. Thanks bro! All the best!
@@ElectricEuphoria the reason I don’t think DS cartridges have the bitter coating is due to the size. The chips are small, but not small enough to swallow like a pill. The switch cartridges are a different story which is why they coated it.
What should the codes be on the back? I know you said that the one ending with “9” is fake and The one ending in “8” was real, but what are the possible ending codes that are real? Any help would be appreciated
Local game store just called me, they had me on a waiting list for Platinum. I will see tomorrow if it's legit. This video was good preparation, thank you! :)
@@PokeObsession It was the real deal! Unfortunately it is more scratched up than I would like but it's just a cosmetic issue. I picked it up and if I spot a better looking one in the future, I'll probably sell it 😅
The green barcode bit on the bottom of the back for me is very sketchy, most of the letters/numbers are halved, also I believe the official Nintendo seal looks more like your counterfeit in terms of colours
Very well done! I knew about the the GBA fakes, but didn't know about DS fakes. The video is clear in explanation and video quality, so I was relieved to find mine is legit. All the best & blessings be.
Thank Lordy. My neighbor, for some reason just threw out Pokémon platinum, super Mario, 3-D land, and Mario kart 7. Obviously, my main concern was Pokémon platinum. I could care less about the others. And yeah everything checks out. Thank you very much. Heres a like on your video.
it’s legit mate, don’t worry about it. he’s wrong about it only ending in J08. I bought my game from gamestop on release date, and it came with a different code. so far i’ve noticed they all start with CPUENO, though. just make sure everything else checks out tho! make sure it isn’t smeared, and the nintendo logo isn’t sharply engraved. that’s usually the hardest thing to duplicate.
If you want to be super sure: The ultimate proof is to check for the shape of the gray square at the side of the DS label. At the inside, it shouldn't be so perfect as the black square above it. That is a detail that aparently not reproduction manage to copy so far. Also a perfectly round o in "Nintendo" is super common in replicas. And about the j22, I have seen it on legit Diamond replicas
One way i noticed it can be fake aswell is Look in the back where the “Nintendo” logo is Engraved On the real one its smaller more sharp and the O on nintendo is more oval shaped while on the fake one the Nintendo logo will be more Bigger and Bold and the O in Nintendo will sometimes More than likely be more Rounded out like a perfect circle You can see what i mean in this video when he flips the Cartridges to the back take a close look at the Nintendo logo in the back
Hey, thanks for your help. Bought a copy of Heartgold and Platinum from the same seller, Heartgold kept crashing. Looks like both games are fake unfortunately
A pokemon platinum game that I just bought hadn't been working properly and this video is what gave away why. It is the most faked copy in the whole world.
Thank you for this! Was really nervous to buy this game because I didn't know how to spot a fake. Found a listing that looks just like the authentic copy in the video so hopefully it's real.
Hey, thanks for the video. There's one point I want to clarify and a couple new point I think you missed (hopefully I didn't just miss them while listening to the video). 1. The cartridge color should be a dark gray (for US versions, not sure about other regions), lots of repros can't get the color right so the cartridge ends up either being a light gray or closer to black. 2. You mentioned the game serial on the back of the cartridge should end in "08" which makes it legit. This is not entirely true, and this is a difficult portion of the serial to compare for authenticity. You should look at the middle of the game ID on the front (CPUE in this case, which this is also a region-specific code) and the serial should start with this on the back. The problem with looking at the end of the code is that this can change based on cartridge revision and manufacture location. You *can* use it for checking authenticity but unless you're Nintendo or have amassed a list of known legit serials for a game. 3. The label itself. You did go over authenticity of the label printing but I didn't hear you mention that the label itself should be glossy. Especially lazy repros don't reflect the light and this is pretty easy to spot when you have the physical cartridge with you (harder to see in sale listings though). Using this as an authenticity metric makes things easier for those of us who are partially or fully colorblind, and can't easily tell the difference between saturation levels. --- In the case of your copies I'm actually finding the opposite for the serials - I'm not finding the J08 serial (your authentic copy) mentioned anywhere but the J09 (your counterfeit copy) seems accepted as a legit serial. My copy is authentic and ends in J13, and others elsewhere say J22 is legit as well. While it's possible that your authentic copy is a very well done repro, I think it's more likely that this is just a serial no one has been asking about considering the rest of the cartridge looks to be on point.
I also have a J13 cartridge. my heart stopped when he said the code has to match the J08 code. My copy checked every other box up till that point. I bought it for 40 bucks in 2014 with the game case.
Thank you man I was looking up to see if my copy was real because I got it off of ebay but the front label looked off. The game played well let me save, let me transfer gba pokemon in and let me transfer to pokemon bank. After reviewing this video and a few others with your information and information gathered online I now think my cartage is real but may have had the label replaced.
Well dang. It looks like I just purchased one of the best fakes I've ever scene. The sticker looks flawless, so I assume that they use an authentic sticker onto the cartridge. The arrow is engraved, the pins are slightly off centered, so slightly that I didn't see it on the pictures, and the Nintendo branding and the patent number are taller. Most fakes these days don't even bother trying and they just claim that's reproduction cart. I'm at a disadvantage because I purchase a European copy of a video game. By comparing to the other two European games that have, the one I own is the only one that's different in shell. I'm now hoping it's just a re-case. To add insult to injury, there was a save inside the game. Either to make it more authentic or the previous owner didn't know that they had a fake copy.
yes, look at the very top of the cartridge, if theres like a groove in the middle (kinda like this -=-) its probably real, if its completely smooth/looks like it was glued together its fake.
@@magsetienne6680 I’ve heard that the fake copies can transfer Pokémon to other Gen 4 games. I don’t think you can transfer Gen 4 to Gen 5 though (Not 100% sure though)
Thanks for this video! I'm trying to figure out if the copy I got is real or not, so it's extremely helpful. So the 'Content Rated By' part has to be bolded? Mine seems pretty good otherwise, but that one part might mean it's a fake. Also, what do you mean by the arrow being slightly over?
Bolded as in the font style. Compared to the label on the left, the “content rated by” has a narrow font type. The arrow at the bottom has a texture that should be noted when verifying if authentic or fake.
Omg I did buy a fake Platinum and its exactly the same as this one tooo omg lol Well I figured it was fake right when I bought it and held it...but I should have believed the gut feeling when I was looking at it on ebay... Oh well it was very cheap to buy...but least I have a better use for comparrsion... thanx for the video Poke♡ You have a subscriber ♡
Thank you. I was weirded out why mine was freezing strangely. Heck I would have to wrestle the game into my 2DS So... I spent $30 on a game that was fake as a early birthday present ):
Haha mine too. But also I tested another ds game and my copy, Ive noticed copy gets a bit stuck and hard to remove so also an indicator that it is a fake.
I just got duped recently and this helped me alot. I don't think the store that sold it to me was fake (never pushed or pressured me to buy it) but this copy was a REALLY good fake (around reason why I don't think it was purpose). I was able to identify it most because of the text near the pins. All real copies I have seen say D1/i (just like the real one in this video). Check that!
Hey, thanks for the video! I have a question regarding a copy of Platinum i bought a while ago. Are the white letters above the circuits on the back always the same? All the „markers“ on my copy point towards real, but there are one letter and one digit of the white code different from copies i saw online, but no guide for spotting fake cartridges ever pointed these things out. Would really appreciate your help.
So, I was doing a Professor Oak's Challenge on my Platinum, but my ds suddenly crashed and stopped functioning, so I instantly looked up this video to find out that I have a fake. I've had it for ages from GameStop, so I just never checked. I was not 100% sure it was real since the art on the card looked really off. Also checked my HGSS since I really care about those, neither are fake luckily. Anyways, thank you for this amazing video.
I have fake copies of Diamond, pearl, and Platinum. And I tried playing Platinum last Christmas, but it kept crashing so I had to trade the Pokemon I got on Platinum to Pearl so that I could keep using them. I had no problems with Diamond and Pearl though.
I thought my Platinum was real, but I didn't even put it in my 3ds yet. Just checked it... It had trouble going in and out! I tested another ds cart in my 3ds and it went in/out smoothly. What do I do??
I recently found my old Diamond copy from 2007, and after that I bought a DS with a Pearl copy. And now I am struggling to find a Platinum copy that is authentic and not like over 100€, any suggestions where I can get platinum?
The code ending in a 9 is not a dead giveaway it is fake. If there are no other signs and you can very clearly tell it is genuine despite the 09 serial number, I'm willing to bet it's legitimate so don't worry about it
Hi PokeObession, I need some help, I have this platinum which is almost like what u explained in this video however, my code ends with 2 instead of 8 and I could not transfer Pokemon from Leafgreen. I do not know if it’s either my Leafgreen not authentic ( but looks pretty authentic to me from other guides) or this platinum that is not authentic or maybe it’s jus becoz of the slight damage on the surface of the cartridge. Both are second hand as I could not find it from retailer anymore..
If the ds game does show up on your ds console as a Pokemon Game, it probably is the GBA being fake. Fake GBA games are made worse than nintendo ds fakes. Here is a video on how I transferred Pokemon from Platinum to Pokemon Home: ua-cam.com/video/dyz2mufiDy8/v-deo.html
Mine checks all the marks except on the back it end with CPUEN0J12 instead of J09 is this a fake or from a different region? I’ve had it for over 10 years
Not going to mention that the card chip itself starts with a 13 in white on the bottom back side? Big tell tale of it being a fake cartridge. Also, bust the fake one open, there’s probably a crappy black circle on the board, it’s a cheap way of running power through it.
i bought one of those 208 in one games and it always freezes when im trying to access my bag, so now im looking for a legit copy of platinum to transfer all my stuff to. I only just got to the battle frontier and my game started acting up.
oh my god i saw this right after i placed an order and realized it was FAKE! canceled the order and the seller refunded me asap which was nice... should’ve watched this first hahaha
Lol it's all good! If you still have the fake, here is a video on how to transfer Pokemon from a fake Platinum game to Pokemon Home: ua-cam.com/video/dyz2mufiDy8/v-deo.html
Do fake games still have the same gameplay? Like if there’s a cheap Pokémon heart gold and soul silver, is it worth getting them even if they’re the fake game cards? I just want to play the games, and the real games will probably break my bank if I try to get those ones Thanks in advance
Crap, I found yesterday at my local game store that my copy of Soul silver was counterfeit. And I got it last year for Christmas. And I paid $110 for it. *sighs* it plays and it hasn’t crashed since I got it, and I made sure to make a new game file, and transferring Pokémon wasn’t an issue for it either. Damn, now I’m paranoid that my Platinum version is not real
Its easy to tell with all the guides like this. There hasnt really been any good fake that can make the nintendo on the back the same. The o is an rectangle/square (never a circle) and printed over the cart. These people scamming knows how to put the real game inside and ruin others chances of selling it again.
They often won't allow you to coll CT dongle pokemon. Platinum lets you catch extra pokemon if you have a copy of third generation games in the ds gameboy slot. It also lets you "migrate" pokemon over from the cartridge onto platinum.
My Pokemon Platinum is legit from what you've said in this video. The problem is the .sav file I get from it can't be read while the .sav from BW, B2W2, HGSS, and DP can be read. The cartridge is a kind of gray color, I'm thinking it might be a fake. What do you think? I'm using an R4i Save Dongle
I think your game is fake because it can not be read. I have a video where the BW2 game and emulator can be read from the fake game: ua-cam.com/video/dyz2mufiDy8/v-deo.html
I’m not sure about the ds games, but I know fake gba games can’t use the pal park. If someone could confirm if fake ds copies are the same in that regard that’d be sweet. I’ve never had a problem with any of my ds games and am 99.5% sure they’re authentic (because almost all of them were bought years ago) sometimes I genuinely get paranoid and idk why.
Right. Im looking at a pretty authentic looking copy right now, but the code ends in 22 so now I'm not sure. Does the code need to be an even number or just 8?

Mines 13 and I’m wondering if it’s real
Reddit says 9 is real...
Mine has a 9 but check marks on all things as real so this also confused me..
Depends on the region afaik
Thank god my 40 dollars at GameStop weren't for a bootleg
Mine were after watching this. Going to contact them about it.
Local game store just called me, they had me on a waiting list for Platinum. I will see tomorrow if it's legit. This video was good preparation, thank you! :)
You are welcome! Hope the game was authentic!
@@PokeObsession It was the real deal! Unfortunately it is more scratched up than I would like but it's just a cosmetic issue. I picked it up and if I spot a better looking one in the future, I'll probably sell it 😅
@@kristym8641 how much u paid for it
The green barcode bit on the bottom of the back for me is very sketchy, most of the letters/numbers are halved, also I believe the official Nintendo seal looks more like your counterfeit in terms of colours
Very well done! I knew about the the GBA fakes, but didn't know about DS fakes. The video is clear in explanation and video quality, so I was relieved to find mine is legit. All the best & blessings be.
Thank you! I am glad this helped you out. I also made a video about 3DS games being fake one day: ua-cam.com/video/3o8YvS17Hj8/v-deo.html
I already filed the dispute with the seller so I'm a bit bummed that I got a fake, thank you so much for this video though!
You’re welcome! Also made a video on how to spot fake game sellers
What if it ends in “J22” on the back. I have seen that one a lot, and everything looks just as you say it should besides not ending in “j08”
it’s legit mate, don’t worry about it. he’s wrong about it only ending in J08.
This is very useful information, I just subscribed
Thanks!
One way i noticed it can be fake aswell is Look in the back where the “Nintendo” logo is Engraved On the real one its smaller more sharp and the O on nintendo is more oval shaped while on the fake one the Nintendo logo will be more Bigger and Bold and the O in Nintendo will sometimes More than likely be more Rounded out like a perfect circle You can see what i mean in this video when he flips the Cartridges to the back take a close look at the Nintendo logo in the back
Nice observation! Thanks!
I’ve had my Pokémon platinum for over two years and didn’t know it was fake this vid help a lot thank you👍🏼
Np! Where did you get your game from?
PokeObsession bought it off of my cousin for about 40 bucks it’s ok tho he didn’t know I was fake either
So without a doubt if the number on the back is 9 and not 8 does that mean it’s fake?
Hey, thanks for your help. Bought a copy of Heartgold and Platinum from the same seller, Heartgold kept crashing. Looks like both games are fake unfortunately
I just got a fake Pokémon platinum copy and it keeps crashing too. Have u found any tricks to fix it?
@@andrewunderwood5079 You can't fix it. It's not broken, it's fake. Get a refund for it
Poggers I got my replacement copy a few years ago and after watching this I learned that my copy is official thanks for making the video
A pokemon platinum game that I just bought hadn't been working properly and this video is what gave away why. It is the most faked copy in the whole world.
if anyone is wondering the back side doesn't necessarily have to say "CPUEN0J08'. Mine says "CPUEN1J00" and it's a legit copy as well.
On Reddit they are saying 09 is legit... But he specifically said it's not...
@@fluffyone1882 that's definitely legit as well
Thank you for this!
Was really nervous to buy this game because I didn't know how to spot a fake. Found a listing that looks just like the authentic copy in the video so hopefully it's real.
You are welcome! Hope things worked out.
---
In the case of your copies I'm actually finding the opposite for the serials - I'm not finding the J08 serial (your authentic copy) mentioned anywhere but the J09 (your counterfeit copy) seems accepted as a legit serial.
@@justicerevenge you and me are in the exact same boat my friend, bought mine in 2014 as well with a j13 code haha, glad i saw this comment thread!
If the last digit on the back is 2 is it real
Under the circuit board or under Pat and pend?
Thank you for letting us know!
Everything looked right, until I saw that the nintendo logo was white as opposed to see through...does that mean it's probably fake?
yes, look at the very top of the cartridge, if theres like a groove in the middle (kinda like this -=-) its probably real, if its completely smooth/looks like it was glued together its fake.
I have a fake platinum that for the past 3 years I thought was a real cartridge. But it has never had any problems and works perfectly fine
Do you know if you can transfer or not? Because I think my Platinum might be fake but if I can transfer then it won’t matter
As long as you enjoyed your gameplay, everything should be fine!
@@magsetienne6680 I’ve heard that the fake copies can transfer Pokémon to other Gen 4 games. I don’t think you can transfer Gen 4 to Gen 5 though (Not 100% sure though)
Damn I got a fake copy of super Mario Bros and a fake copy of Mario kart Nintendo DS
I saw a fake platinum card on ebay, they try so hard to make it look real, they even made the serial code molded.
@@PokeObsession It looks like I unfortunately got a fake then. A really well done one, but still a fake. Too bad. Thanks a lot!

Mine looks authentic but at the back it has 9 instead of 8 so I can't really decide whether it's real or not
Haha mine too. But also I tested another ds game and my copy, Ive noticed copy gets a bit stuck and hard to remove so also an indicator that it is a fake.
Mine is fake the Nintendo seal is more dark than a lighter color compared to my other games
It could be the number difference due to time differences when the games were produced in the factories
Aye just bought Pokémon platinum on eBay for $12 and honestly don’t even care if it’s fake still get to play through
I just got duped recently and this helped me alot. I don't think the store that sold it to me was fake (never pushed or pressured me to buy it) but this copy was a REALLY good fake (around reason why I don't think it was purpose). I was able to identify it most because of the text near the pins. All real copies I have seen say D1/i (just like the real one in this video). Check that!
I hear you can’t trade Pokémon from bootleg cartridges, but idk if that’s for gameboy cards only
Hey, thanks for the video!
It would depend upon the game and where it was originally made
So, I was doing a Professor Oak's Challenge on my Platinum, but my ds suddenly crashed and stopped functioning, so I instantly looked up this video to find out that I have a fake. I've had it for ages from GameStop, so I just never checked. I was not 100% sure it was real since the art on the card looked really off. Also checked my HGSS since I really care about those, neither are fake luckily. Anyways, thank you for this amazing video.
Such a sigh of relief when mine I just got off eBay passed all the checks
Are you sure the last number on the back has to end in 9? I don’t think that’s accurate from what I’ve read.
Hello, i'm from México, and some games have the serial on the back with a 12 in the end instead of an 8, are they original?
They can be... He's wrong about the back number. If everything else checks out it's probably good.
The name Pokémon also looks more purple on the left while the one on the right is more blue. Not sure if that matters just an observation
i really appreciate you making this, but it would be wonderful if you could provide a link to buy a legitimate game from. :)

I’m about to buy in a Japanese shop. $150 it has the box still thanks for this video I’m going back again with this knowledge and buy the game
Can these cartridge copies be used with a Wii for Pokémon Battle Revolution?
I recently found my old Diamond copy from 2007, and after that I bought a DS with a Pearl copy. And now I am struggling to find a Platinum copy that is authentic and not like over 100€, any suggestions where I can get platinum?
I have checked all indicators and watched other videos as well. my cartridge for platinum looks completely authentic except for the 09 serial number
The code ending in a 9 is not a dead giveaway it is fake. If there are no other signs and you can very clearly tell it is genuine despite the 09 serial number, I'm willing to bet it's legitimate so don't worry about it
The 09 means it is part of a different production line.

This is barely distinguishable. And so many sellers use shitty photos so you can't see what you buy.
Mine checks all the marks except on the back it end with CPUEN0J12 instead of J09 is this a fake or from a different region? I’ve had it for over 10 years
Besides this, does it also have to do if the game crashes regularly? Can we trade with these games or not?
Yes you can trade actually
Not going to mention that the card chip itself starts with a 13 in white on the bottom back side? Big tell tale of it being a fake cartridge. Also, bust the fake one open, there’s probably a crappy black circle on the board, it’s a cheap way of running power through it.
So does the ending code Always end in 8? mine is CPUEN1J19, but everything else on my cartridge matched your authentic copy to a T
Oof it sure showed me my copy is fake

If the back of the cartridge is blank, does that mean it’s fake too?
Do fake games still have the same gameplay?
Like if there’s a cheap Pokémon heart gold and soul silver, is it worth getting them even if they’re the fake game cards?
I just want to play the games, and the real games will probably break my bank if I try to get those ones
Thanks in advance
My platinum matches everything else and works fine except the outline is more of a gray than a black does that mean anything?

Damn I got a fake one for Christmas
what if my ending code is 0? my cartridge looks authentic otherwise.
But what’s the downside to fake games?? I just got platinum, heart gold and black and they’re all fake unfortunately
They often won't allow you to coll CT dongle pokemon. Platinum lets you catch extra pokemon if you have a copy of third generation games in the ds gameboy slot. It also lets you "migrate" pokemon over from the cartridge onto platinum.
I was wondering if my copy is fake because i got a completely different number on the back
It is probably real then. Numbers can very.
If it’s gray then it’s fake.
I’ve never had a problem with any of my ds games and am 99.5% sure they’re authentic (because almost all of them were bought years ago) sometimes I genuinely get paranoid and idk why.
does the sku code always have to end in 8 for it to be authentic?
Right. Im looking at a pretty authentic looking copy right now, but the code ends in 22 so now I'm not sure. Does the code need to be an even number or just 8?
