They do make larger guards and the key to cutting the back with a guard is to continue in the same direction until you no longer hear hair being cut.....THAT'S how you know its ALL EVEN!! TaDah👍🏽👌🏽....hair is hair....its wilk always go back🤔....until it doesn't, but then there's WIGS, YAY!!!!

It's going to be pretty once you finished. Cutting your hair is always refreshing.
Girl when you said you wanted “low maintenance” then showed those inspiration pictures...I laughed.
what i've learned is that you have to consider your hair texture and density. If you have thick, coarse, kinky hair...those styles I showed will take a lot of work to achieve. But a looser hair texture will literally just naturally lay like that with a bit of product, if it's cut short enough and cut correctly...which mine is not...yet lol. But we will see!
maintaining the blonde when your hair grows as fast as Raven's does is where the laughing came in at....especially if we talking Platinum...BUT if she put the clippers on 1 inch all the time, allover, she can keep the platinum tight like Alissa Ashley did.
Just put the clippers on 3 inch guard on all over, when you hair is already curly and air dried ( so you can see in real length without scaring yourself that its too short) and keep cutting in every direction until you dont hear any more hair hit the blade. Then you know its all even....Then watch Alissa Ashley tutorial on how she got her Platinum color at home, tone it, and fingerwave the edges and be done with it.👍🏽
@@mschanee Yeah I just didn't have the guards I needed, and I'm working my way up to a shorter style, and the blonde. I wanna experiment as I go with different lengths and colors. Not dead set on just having the super short platinum. I wanna play around with it while I can. But even with bleaching it and maintaining it, everything is much faster when you have such little hair compared to having long hair. I know that from experience. Every type of style requires maintenance but I was looking for something that can be done quickly/easily.

I started rocking short, natural hair in the 90s; women were not sitting in the neighborhood barber shop then, so I got some looks. Once they realized I was for real, the owner was my barber for years. I can't get past a Pixie cut for too long - short hair is LIFE 🙌🏾✊🏾✌🏾😉
