I like to put diferent xmogs for the diferent sets so i can visually see when im on the right set. It's a little thing i do to remind me and avoid those situations where you are doing single target with aoe set
Just got back from completing Mythic En, took a break until a week ago. This is great little tips, didn't consider the legendary swapping thing, then again I only have 2 legendaries #feelsbadman but nonetheless sometimes people don't think of these things and it helps us to min max every second. Last I remember feral wasn't good for M+ but meh guild needs me to main feral for whatever reason.
Simcraft doesn't sim sephuz proc right? i never got to understand if sephuz is any decent for hunter in m plus lol, i have mostly shit leggos but would sephuz be better than the pridaz stat stick? Or the marked shot leg? On my dh i already swap sets with kil jaeden but i'm not quite sure how sephuz compares to anger of giants, cindarra belt or kil jaeden
Hi Naesam, I find i sometimes miss using elemental blast on cd or In general, I prefer having few spells to cast. am I missing out on much aoe if I switched talents to say primal elemantalist? Or would that still be ok for aoe Thank you
Elemental Blast is the go-to talent for every situation. The thing with it is that it can proc twice and you get TWO stat bonus. This per se makes it mandatory and he still has a sweet damage as bonus and fits perfectly on your rotation. The other talents in that row arent even close to it's power. You should use it.
fury of the burning sky is pretty good on my fire mage. it procs pretty often on aoe fights, also mastery is great for fire mage aoe. on another hand, crit and haste is great for st.
You said Mastery is on a lower stat prio for AOE. But I don't quite understand why. I mean, more mastery means more chance to proc the Chain Lightning, often resulting in more single target dmg, maelstrom for earthquake etc.
I did not know that it doesn't work on mastery. thought it was 10% per target hit, and since mastery hits twice.. And forgot about the increased mastery for lightning bolt and chain lightning. Was just so standard for me to put it down :D
Its not like us ele shamans needed more aoe though. No shaman ive talked to was exited to see that buff to our aoe. Ele remains a class that has a sustained aoe niche in a patch where no such niche is necessary. Other classes have just as good aoe if not better, and no need to sacrifice ST to do so.
well... ele might have the best aoe burst in the game at the moment. at least for 5 targets with stormkeeper. And that's very useful, on Chromatic, Krosus, Tichondrius, spellblade, and Gul Dan, where the adds need to die fast. In my guild on mythic Krosus I do 5 times as much add damage as anyone else, there is just no other class that can burst that much aoe damage on spread targets. Im kinda weak on Single target tho compared.
True, the aoe burst is unreal. However, you cant tell me you dont cry inside when you see your big dps fall off to bottom tier once those adds are dead.
What you covered in the video should be a given for anyone that does m+ above +10. What seems to be the biggest issue is how to max that potential dmg in the dungeon. Even if you are wearing the best items possible for any given scenario, unless you have a tank that know what he is doing OR you dont know how to max that dmg, you're basically screwed. A person with 890 equipped that knows what he is doing can outperform a 910 equipped person. Even if the 910 person is gearswapping 24/7 and the 890 goes with only 1 set of gear. I could see the majority of people watching this video and tries to take your tips into practice will end up with a disappointing result as you don't cover the most important part of what will get you this "insane m+ dmg", and yes, i did put that in sarcastic quotation marks. On a positive note i didn't find your voice annoying, so that's at least something. :)
You mention this "most important part" many times, but never say what it really is aside from a really vague "maximize your damage." Basically what I can gather is you're saying - to do good damage you must learn your class, which seems to be somewhat obvious as well. There isn't much more that can be said on such a broad discussion unless you go class by class explaining the ins and outs. Obviously these tips won't just make you instantly a dungeon god but combining this with knowing your class and how to manage cooldowns in conjunction can make you stick out.
Seems like i needed to project my frustration somewhere and you were the opportune target. This video clearly does cover the basics of how to do better in a mythic+ dungeon, but what sort of hit my spot was the missleading title. To actually do "insane dmg" in m+ you need to be so specific and its not just you. It's down to every group comp, affix and potential dmg output of every individual member. I might sound very picky and that could possibly be because i main a shadowpriest. Where the tank is the difference between me doing 700k overall dps or 1m+. i've been extremely unlucky with gear and gone from 902-904 ilvl in 4 months which sounds unbelievable. But it taught me how to maximize my output with my current gear. Then again i think shadowpriest is the most extreme case atm.
Lose weight bud, you should focus on that first IRL, then play games. You need motivation, its not ok to be fat, take care of yourself and your life will be happier!!!!!!!
All this f'***ing around trying to change gear mid fight etc and you're still dying to mechanics and not coming top DPS. Feels bad man. I know this is min maxing but it's really shitty the game has come to this in my opinion.
monstamossie you realize you can't change gear while in combat right?? He had a video ontop on another video playing in the background. Maxing dps doesn't mean you will be top of all the dps. Classes or specs have never been balanced and never will be perfectly balanced. One spec will always be better than the other. At this exact moment in wow you have locks and monks at the top for dps and dh at tube bottom. If both a monk and a dh max their damage, the dh will never be able to do the dmg the monk is doing just because they are not equally balanced in game. Also being top damage on every pull isn't what is important. You'll get a way better idea of how people are doing by looking at overall damage of the entire dungeon. Lastly he died to the breath due to the tornadoes not having an opening. He is human, not a perfect robot, shit happens.
BTW the macro to change sets is just /equipset name | replace name with name of set, capitalization and such is relevant.
Isn't easier than making macros just drag and drop the set from the Character Sheet onto your action bar? At least that's what I do :)
I like to put diferent xmogs for the diferent sets so i can visually see when im on the right set. It's a little thing i do to remind me and avoid those situations where you are doing single target with aoe set
wow. GREAT advice mate

you can precast the krosus trinket and switch before combat and itll still travel an do dmg too.
fuck i just de mine, but then i don't really use stat sticks on my hunter so, does it not aggro the mobs casting it?
You can go to the wow website to restore deleted items.

Just make sure the tank does a 2-3 seconds pull timer so you're not stuck with the wrong gear setup lol XD. This has been a problem for me
Is there a reason why you would play Lightning Rod with these affixes you had in the background? Isnt ascendance going to benefit you more?
Naesam, what do you think about fingers/necks from timewalking dungeons? (Asking because it's the only items that has int on them)
nothing special
what is the addon for your current cast and last 2 cast in the bottom right? looks very nice
Details streamer plug in
Hey there, i'm curious about something, wich combination of legendary is better to use for ascendance? Hands/belt, hands/ring, or belt/ring?

thank you for this :)

How Can you change your items in combat????
He can't. It's just another video on top of the running one.

mastery only has 1/3 effectiveness for chain lightning. if you have 60% mastery, your chain lightning only has a 20% chance to overload
it is actually 20% effectiveness, or 1/5
gah ele shamans got sucha huge aoe buff aswel with seismic lightning.
Its not like us ele shamans needed more aoe though. No shaman ive talked to was exited to see that buff to our aoe. i play boomkin. hi! we have some things in common hahaha

Thought liquid magma totem was good for mythic+
who u use earthquake without click on the area??
#showtooltip Earthquake
/cast [@cursor] Earthquake
Shouldn't even let you switch gear inside a keystone run

Who wants to bring a shadow priest in m+ anyway.

David Boggs that's what I tell myself every morning.
Best tip to maximum dps in mythic+ dont die to easy stuff like dragon lightning etc.
Thanks for tip

Oh and every game has those top players who min max so not sure what you mean about the game coming to min maxing.
stopped 10 seconds in, ofcourse you are going to deal insane damage in m+ as ele
This video has very little to do with spec but ok
