Pictures really don't do this truck any justice, in person its absolutely breathtaking!
Out of the box its performance is phenomenal, plenty of draw current getting to the motor and a nice aspect of slow control.
Perfect for hitting the trail!
This came to the market as a surprise as it wasn't officially announced by WPL.
It's a collaboration between RBR/C and WPL, outside of the scale model scene the owners of both companies are good friends and go 1:1 offroading together.

This wpl looks really great, at least there is no need to upgrade it and the price is very correct, excellent unboxing and test.
Yes out of the box its ready to hit the trail! I took it out yesterday on the beaten track and it was phenomenal!
Only downside is the small 500mah battery it comes with.
O, and those extremely hard tyres, very cheap and easy to upgrade though
@@THYC Yes I saw on other videos that the battery is only 500mah, it is better to put a 1300 and it is true that the tires are very hard, I would really like that wpl kind of other tires as an option, this would be really great.

@@satorrotas yes they rub on the rear of the c24, the mn96 tyres are slightly smaller than the mn99 ones 😊

It's been a pain with the battery restriction, I cant even search for them in the uk, I get 0 results when looking for a 7.4v battery 😂

Yes they come with RBR/C edition rigs.
I hit the trail with it yesterday, apart from those hard tyres which struggled for grip on the inclines the truck as a whole done extremely well.
I've recently converted mine to a C14-1 and added super soft mn96 tyres, I think its going to be a good recipe
I almost bought the Tokin RC crawler.. but then I saw this video, the car has so many potential future upgrades and nice looking design which can also be a replica if you're not using it.. It's looking more expensive than the Tokin RC crawler which is the same price in my country..I can't wait for the package to arrive.. btw awesome video dude

I'm very happy with it, had a day on the trail with it yesterday, it didn't put a foot out of line, could do with some softer kit tyres but they are a cheap easy upgrade.

Is it worth the money?
@@9graff9 worth it but be prepared to spend for repairs/upgrades. some parts tend to break easily but it all depends on usage. remember that these rigs are toy-grade quality but these are upgradable to more “stronger” parts.

Right out of the box, ya need to upgrade the motor to a 370, metal 2-sp trans, and a ESC. About $25-30 for all.
Then you have the basics.

180 motor and tan gearbox like you got in your b16 kit, I think the next step for wpl is a bigger motor, for its size its plenty enough power for such a light rig.

Yes this rc c 24 please
don't know for not having a set, but looks like the C34 rims are slightly wider offset,
maybe wider between the tire beads like I grafted together with the old style rims.
in e-mail with their sales guy, did mention that 4-5 mm longer shock rods give better flex but don't know if they've started doing it, or made them available as an upgrade.
I think the shock rods for the c14/24 are still the same size, the c34 wheels are slightly larger so they give the impression of a wider offset I think 🤔
Good tip put the stock tires in wd40 to make them soft

Good question.
They are all awesome rigs, the wpl and fayee use the same size axle so upgrading using wpl parts is an option.
These 3 are currently the best rtrs on the market currently, I say you could do no wrong whatever one you choose 😊

I just received 2 of them in the mail. Almost all the screws where loose. Was that the case for you? I took one apart and tightened all the screws and painted everything. For the money not bad but everything being loose was kinda sad. Also thank you so much for leaving the links to upgrade them. I hopefully have enough time to order everything and have them ready to go for my kids before Christmas. My son is used to crawlers he has a red cat which we've done a lot to it so over 500 bucks in it. My daughter is 10 and wants to get into the crawlers but I didn't want to get a toy she wouldn't play with long like the red cat. This one seems like hey if you wanta play with it a few times then put it on the shelf then here you go and the option to make it a real crawler that can be beat on is there and way less money. Everything I've seen to upgrade these trucks around 100 bucks plus the 50 bucks for it seems like a win win
Some screws are designed to be loose, links and shocks especially, it helps the truck flex more fluently 😊
I know lots of people who have converted to wpl because everything is just so darn cheap! They are having just as much fun on the trail aswel!
Instead of having a rig where you just point it and go you have to plan your route carefully with these little critters, it adds to the fun!
@@THYC I bought my son a crawler a few years back it was 500 bucks. My daughter is wanting to get into so I figured I get them bought these. I'm not sure she will like the whole slow play part of crawling. Bug I did order 130 bucks worth if parts to upgrade one or just let the rig go until something breaks and work on it like a real rig. awesome review, i got a question though, a bit out of topic but is the 180 motor on c34 rtr a bit more powerful? because i swapped the c24 1 with c34’s and it’s significantly faster. both are compley bone stock
What I've noticed is the c24-1 has a low rpm motor which has more torque compared to the c34 motor.
The low rpm motor will have more power to climb💪

A year ago I would only get kit because of the better quality parts you'd get like the metal gears, 180 motor and servo.
Now I'd happily pick up RTR of this caliber, the only difference to a kit now is it had hard tyres, the RTR electronics have improved massively aswel, very capable out of the box indeed

They will run fine together with no interference 😊
They use 2.4ghz and each run on a unique channel.
The transmitter pairs to whatever rig you turn on 1st.

Ok - have received my pair from China - took 10 days... Really pleased but need some advice from the C24-1 hive mind please...
These look great, but they're a bit 'rattly' and I note there are a number of parts that feel loose underneath - shocks and rods and drive shafts - I want to avoid replacing everything (these are for my kids) so is there a priority list to 'firm things up' a bit?
Shocks and links should be loose, it allows the truck to flex 😊

Hi I have one if these and about 2 months ago I think the gearbox broke any way to fix it
Check to see if the motor has slipped out, its push fit.
Take it apart and check the integrity of the gears, check if any are chipped.
If none are chipped check to see if any gears have slipped on the shaft, you can glue them back.
If your gears are chipped you can get a replacement gearbox and motor for under $10 on the official store
Hi - perhaps a stupid question - If I buy two of these for the kids, can they be controlled at the same time without interfering with each other ?(the controllers, not the kids)...

Do you know if the WPL esc has lipo cutoff?
Yes the new fully proportional electronics featured in the C24-1 have a low voltage cut off at 6v, 3v for each cell 😊
@@THYC That’s good news does the Fayee Fy003-1 also have lipo cutoff? I have a pile of small 500mah 2s lipos that will fit perfect in these trucks😁
I'm insure if the fayee electronics have a cut off, a good way to test is by using a 6v battery, if it cuts out after 5 minutes use then it does have one

Hi there, I ordered one a while ago and it came so I unboxed it, put the accessories and stickers on, charged it up so then I was going to give it a blast but it wouldn’t move but it still turned fine, so I found out the wire wasn’t connected properly, so I’m trying to get it together . So do you think I should use a soldering kit for it or something else, and thanks for the cool videos 😀

I don't understand what RBRC added to it?
Nothing has been added, it's a collaboration between wpl and rbr/c with a limited edition white colour, with c14 bumper and grille and a nicely painted rear bed.
Also a good way to get a guaranteed new stock model, it's a bit of a gamble with the red and blue c24 whether you'll get all the new stock goodies
C24-1, C34 rtr and B36 are the only guaranteed new stock models from any seller.
