I always say this. He's neighbours see him walk in the shed with some tubing and wheels and next thing he's driving out in some crazy machine... my dudes like the A-team all on his own 😂
I think a V-twin air-cooled bike engine would also work great. They are narrow, and you can keep the engine transmission in the best gear to ensure the input RPMs of the CVT are similar to those of the original UTV engine. You might also consider adding a fan and a shroud to prevent engine overheating, because you won’t have direct airflow while seated.
This is my favorite build channel for sure, but I would love to see you step out of the sport bike/snow machine powered off road buggies, and build something out of your comfort zone...maybe something even street legal. You have the skills to do just about anything.
I agree 100%. I can imagine what he could do on a bigger platform. Even just using a powersports engine now and again would be nice, instead of the sled/Bike engines that are usually too large. My personal favorite idea would be a street legal utility machine like a pickup truck that can mud/offroad still.
i honestly think having the wheels entirely outside the body would be the best option. you can have more travel with lower position of the body which i think means lower center of gravity and wider stance is more stability
You should get one of the motors Cars and Cameras just used for a build.... It was a military 4 stroke that was pretty cool and would look amazing in this. 😁👍
Those engines don't make very much HP, when a person considers HP to weight ratio. however they do make a lot of torque. and they don't sound good, they basically sound like a Volkswagen beetle or a Subaru. which sound shit. and two strokes have good HP weight ratio. but they are a pain in the ass. they wear out quickly and require top end rebuilds often. and they a inherently dirty and engines that spew unburnt oil all over the place. a four street bike engine would be okay but they have a transmission as part of the whole package. and it wouldn't work well with the CVT system on that trans axle set he's using.
Theres a cb900 custom. 10 speed they called it. High and low gear. 5 speed manual. And also shaft drive I'm surprised christ hasn't came across one of those yet
@@ShaunHensley same... sometimes I am pulling my hair because I know he is wasting time on a bad solution... but on the other hand I do like his need for experiments and thinking outside the box...

I love how good of a fabricator you have become. Love when you challenge yourself. How about a aluminium fame build? Maybe a 60 style formula street build 😁
One of the coolest sounding small displacement twin engines would be the Yamaha mt-07. Those things with an aftermarket exhaust sound so good! Not sure if it would be enough power though, but it would be pretty compact I would think being a parallel twin.
I've never seen a suspension setup quite like that and I was a bit 🧐 until you demonstrated the articulation, then I was 😳. All those angles and it the camber and everything appeared to track perfectly!
I've been watching rather B welding for a year now, and since then, I've started my own buggy project. One day, I'd love for you to see man, but keep up the good vids until then!

i think a BIG crotch rocket motor would be the ticket one with about 120bhp 6 speeds and 2~4 cylinders.... water cooled so you can keep the hidden engine cool easier these engines are amazing super powerful and there is plenty of them around in motorcycle wrecking yards so you can get them cheaper than a used bike..... what ever be the case I will watch it been following you sense you built your first lathe so many years ago you are a master of the craft and dam knowledgeable on the subject.... when someone says your stupid for doing this or that just smile in knowing they don't have a clue ! most of the public are idiots with no experience at all...but big mouths so do not let the comments get to you ! good luck on your new project !
Very nice fab on the rear suspension. The trailing arm is the way. I also respect this isn't a chain drive. After you finish this you will agree...it the way going forward. I also agree the 4 stoke is the engine you want. I'd look for a rotax from a can am.
A built 670 with a tuned exhaust would be killer, you could work with RBG Karts on it. I think your chain drive stuff is cool, especially the independent rears! So cool!!
6:29 yes what a good idea! We take another old two-stroke engine that doesn't run well with gigantic exhausts and without electric start... Not only is it a 1:1 comparison to the previous project, it's also a crappy choice. noise, stench, poor running and especially way too big with the expansion exhausts!
Hey man, I appreciate you building these machines with or without chains. And my suggestion for the engine is to use the one from the Harley 883. Thanks, keep up the great work you do.

got to be honest, not sure i'm liking the small rig again, was hoping you'd go bigger. but you do great work, i enjoy the content, would just like to see you build a full size rig. i know, cost and space.
I think you should remove the tubing that’s behind your neck/back of the seat and then you would have a lot more room for the seat. The fiberglass is already broken here anyways and it would be sipe easy to make a tube and fiberglass that would make the seating easier. I love these mini builds!
You may want to add more holes for the upper inboard position to allow lowering the inner pivot gaining negative camber gain when the rear suspension is compressed. This will help stability on landing or heavy cornering. It will also tie the upper and lower mounts together for strength.
Cool new project I loved the chain build, buti didn't think you would only use chain from now on. its your channel, do whats best for you. We don't know what we want, Bro

As you said a muscle car has an v8, then it would be cool to have an v twin at this small muscle car. A Harley engine would be awesome and perfect as you already got the gearbox😁👍🏻
Being older, I would save myself alot of hassle and used a old 4x4 Suzuki ignis engine and running gear, They are very compact units and fairly light weight too.
definitly some kind of 4 stroke v twin, id say as big as you can fit into the thing and if its not enough power for you, its the perfect excuse to get more into turbos
If you had gone with a single radius arm, you could have had negative camber gain on compression which would help a ton on cornering. But that setup you have there would be better for straight line performance.
There's lots of 4x4 atvs that run v twins with cvt transmissions. Like a can am outlander or something like that. They have a good sound to them as well

Yamaha released a bold new snowmobile under the Phazer name-plate for the 2007 model year.[1] The snowmobile featured a radical new design which is inspired from the YZ250F motocross bike. The new Phazer is powered by a new 80 hp 499cc fuel-injected liquid-cooled four-stroke twin which makes its peak power at 11,000RPM.
If you want a compact 4 stroke engine with a CVT, have a look for a Honda FJS 600 engine from a Silver Wing, its a parallel twin that makes close to 50 horsepower in a pretty small package, it is watercooled but you if you can get hold of a full bike, maybe crash damaged, you could probably reuse most of the coolant system, the dash and the electronics if you want to.
Someone needs to gift him custom tiny jackstands with special platforms that the frame sits on so he doesn't have to keep using wooden blocks that makes working on projects sketchy
If the gear box will work upside down then you could move it so the drive belt is at the back instead of the front. Just spotted that it’s a 4x4 box so a V drive would be needed to do that.
You should get a two cylinder snowmobile engine like a Polaris xc 600 with the power valve exhaust. Those motors make more power than the xlt’s and are considerably smaller and lighter
Looks like Positive Camber Man has sprinkled his seed on this rear end again. Could have gotten away with a single radius arm the same design as the trailing arm. Usually radius arms are singular.
