A very good tip to pay attention to most over look it is water clarity the clearer the water the best is to run darker colored baits like green pumpkin the muddier the water go with bright colors like chartreuse iv caught more an big fish doing this a lot
The rebel grasshopper or cricket! That’s like the ultimate pond bass lure. I’ve caught them on medium light tackle using 2000 series spinning reels with treble hook version and the single tail hook version.
Just like YakPak was saying, to help people out: Midwest fishing at the end of summer the 4 inch Yamamoto WTRMLN W/CPR/ORNG W/RED worms will do the trick!
@fishing with yakpak Im from Vegas so the only thing is change is a spinnerbait. We have all man-made lakes so some and really rocky. I don't need to worry about grass as much as you.
I actually got my new PB today on a Black and Blue Frog, 6lb 10oz. Left the scale in the car on the other side of a big pond, I literally sprinted about 350-400 yards holding a bass to grab my scale, glad I did though.
Really love watching you and the guys, I do mainly pond fishing back home with my boyfriend and have used a lot of your tips and tricks and actually just bought my first baitcaster because of you guys!! Thanks for the awesome content! For pond fishing I use the junebug lizards and they work so well!
At least it's warm there I live here in santa fe, nm it snowed last night it's tricky this time of year to fish and I love your vids especially your older ones on getting started with bass fishing I don't got much to spend on gear but your vids boosted my confidence in you don't need high price gear thanks for that good luck with your channel and on the water
Drop shot, thats what I would add in. I just moved to Arizona and its be different. Nothing I've used where I used to live works. But man the drop shot just slays em. So now a drop shot is what i carry everywhere.
How about a budget tackle box where you explain why you chose them, i.e. conditions you would throw them in, etc. Informational as opposed to just a challenge of a fish per bait. Would help a lot of your beginner angler subscribers out!
If pond box i would go 15 of favorite. Curly tail worms, stick bait, or strait tail worm. Bass jig in a natural color. Add some type craw fish trail. Wire bait{ spinner bait. Chatter bait. Top water frog. A top water minnow bait. Popper type bait.
Need a recommendation for a pretty decent all around spinning rod and reel set up. Looking to spend $200ish, could go to $300 if it’s really worth it. Bass fishing mostly, and throw everything.
Got my googan soft plastic bundle last week and they catch fish! Northwest is a bit differnt in colors that work but they sent great colors for my regin and thanks for your content!! Love watchin yakpak and norm
My favorite lure of all time is like a silver/blue top shad popper I got my bp with it and my first fish ever with it but I snapped of with it and they don’t make that color pattern anymore (they are all slight lee different) I loved that lure my dad caught his bp with it and then gave it to me I miss that thing so much 😭 great memories
Never give up y’all, keep at it practice makes perfect, and if you don’t hit perfect you’ll at least get better.. keep fighting oh an keep watching yakpak it’s a package deal 🎣💪🏾🧩
I always have a buzzbait with me. For some reason around here, if nothing else is working, I can crank out the buzzbait and just finish business no problem.
Ultimate pond box for my area, squarebill crankbait, suspending jerkbait, rooster tail, 10,000 Fish Yoto Worm in Green Pumpkin Pearl, Buzzbait or Spook in white
I have the lews combo and I definitely recommend it out of all my combos it’s definitely my favorite it so smooth and light and I’ve even caught my pb twice with it
I have the Xfinity spinning combo from Walmart was my first Lew's rod and it's still one of my favorites I have a Mach Crush and a smash and the Xfinity is as good as any put 15 lb braid and let her eat
What would you rate mine and Norm’s selections 1-10?

You lojo, fishing with norm,Kikintgerebasstv and all the other fisherman’s that I subscribe to are my favorites
I like lunkers and jon b aswell
I totally agree with norm about the rattle trap that was the first lure I learned to throw
Norm is so depressed in the intro 😂 man norm is the best
norm dropping the knowledge babyyyy💪💪
Bro I waz so board then I see this and then I got a smile
Bro same
Same
You were so board
Bryan Li yes yes I waz
*waz*😂
Video suggestion : use a 10 inch spooltek in freshwater for bass
Norm, I have that same Rattle-Trap, Drop that knowledge DUDE!! Depending on the pond, I would have included a shad colored crankbait.
That’s a solid box, only thing I would add is a Yum Craw Bug.
I love to use green pumpkin lizard in ponds, buzz baits and chatterbaits
3:23 i bought that exact same lews combo. Love it. Regreased and oiled just cause and its smooth and silk. Not bad for only 8 bearings.
This time of year I love the mini chrome and blue back
A very good tip to pay attention to most over look it is water clarity the clearer the water the best is to run darker colored baits like green pumpkin the muddier the water go with bright colors like chartreuse iv caught more an big fish doing this a lot
I own this rod and it’s for sure one of my favorites
Need some terminal tackle.. Weights and hooks.
During summer the best bate is a shad live target swimming bate it works in most places
I also like ned rig and square bills for ponds. Good choices!
My go to pod lure is the zoom lemon pepper lizards I always seem to have good luck with those
Love you smile and attitude you rarely rage😂
Rating 8/10 I would have added a Rebel Craw crankbait, and a Rooster-tail. Love the video.
I love all the lures y'all picked, but I'd add a beatle spin and a jig
Add a finesse jig with a hula grub trailer, and a spinner bait.
Would love to see that.
Bring It Gman!!!
You Don't Want The SMOKE!!!
😉😎
The zoom red shad and a all white chatter bait are my go to spring and fall fishing bait
But caught my pb on a rage swimmer electric shad
The only thing I would add to that would be a beetle spin with small minnow soft plastics ... I’ve caught some donkeys with those
I love you and Norm video a lot
You can use the front of the curly worm for a ned rig
@fishing with yakpak Im from Vegas so the only thing is change is a spinnerbait. We have all man-made lakes so some and really rocky. I don't need to worry about grass as much as you.
Ahh nothin better to end of a night then to watch my two favorite youtubers fishing.
New to fishing. Enjoyed this video but I wish you had shown us how the set up each bait shown in the video.
If have to add some type of soft plastic craw. I seem to use them more than anything in a pond.
I actually got my new PB today on a Black and Blue Frog, 6lb 10oz. Left the scale in the car on the other side of a big pond, I literally sprinted about 350-400 yards holding a bass to grab my scale, glad I did though.

Green pumpkin rage craw is my favorite
I use the brown double tail grubs from bass pro and they catch good bass also pink and purple worms catch great bass as well
At least it's warm there I live here in santa fe, nm it snowed last night it's tricky this time of year to fish and I love your vids especially your older ones on getting started with bass fishing I don't got much to spend on gear but your vids boosted my confidence in you don't need high price gear thanks for that good luck with your channel and on the water
I love the tackle box type videos
Pond fishing rocks!!
I travelled to another town’s Walmart because they were the only one that had the Lew’s Lazer HS rods from your last vid. Great rod for only $30!
Dude I love watching these fishing tackle shopping vids
A white mister twister with a 1/8oz white/chartreuse jighead is the most underrated lure in the history of underrated lures.
Dude you and norm are the best y’all make me happy
My favorite lure is a finess worm
Drop shot, thats what I would add in. I just moved to Arizona and its be different. Nothing I've used where I used to live works. But man the drop shot just slays em. So now a drop shot is what i carry everywhere.
Berkley power worm in motor oil is FIRE
How about a budget tackle box where you explain why you chose them, i.e. conditions you would throw them in, etc. Informational as opposed to just a challenge of a fish per bait. Would help a lot of your beginner angler subscribers out!
Curl tail worms are my go to
I would go with a rebel pop r in Tennessee shad. I have always had good luck with it.
Looks like a very good selection of baits. I think they would rate a 10.
if you like worm fishing look into 5150 plastics you get them on line they are a great product.
love that pool
If pond box i would go 15 of favorite. Curly tail worms, stick bait, or strait tail worm. Bass jig in a natural color. Add some type craw fish trail. Wire bait{ spinner bait. Chatter bait. Top water frog. A top water minnow bait. Popper type bait.
Id say ya nailed like norm kinda said wit the spinnerbait for me it depends the pond im going to to throw a chatterbait or spinnerbait
Need a recommendation for a pretty decent all around spinning rod and reel set up. Looking to spend $200ish, could go to $300 if it’s really worth it. Bass fishing mostly, and throw everything.

I liked your and Norm's selections. I think your choices were right on! I would have put a small lipless crank bait in the mix just for good measure.
I agree with all those
Never give up y’all, keep at it practice
makes perfect, and if you don’t hit perfect you’ll at least get better.. keep fighting oh an keep watching yakpak it’s a package deal 🎣💪🏾🧩

Craws and lizards man those are my go to pond baits.
Ultimate pond box for my area, squarebill crankbait, suspending jerkbait, rooster tail, 10,000 Fish Yoto Worm in Green Pumpkin Pearl, Buzzbait or Spook in white
Know it’s gonna be a bangerrr
I like your selections, but omg, Norm was dropping some serious knowledge. Way to go Norm and great video Yak Pak
Yak pak be gridin on fire vids
The only thing I would change is that you get a jig or a baby brush hog
Yakpak coming in clutch with the budget deals, I definitely need these
Love you yak pack you inspired me to bait caster fish thx

I caught my pb bass on Monday on that Zoom Red Shad. 5 1/2 pound Texas Rig
I have the Lews Ininity spin caster, LOVE it. Plus i have several other Lews combo's.
Beatle spin! That's always my stand-by.
That box is banging but I would add a buzz bait
Shaky head and blue senko is the skunk killer
I would add a squarebill 3-5 foot depth, been killing it at the pond I fish.
This summer for whatever reason fish by me (Charleston, SC) have been on with the good ole wacky rig stick bait
I have the exact same Lews xfinity xj rod and reel and I love it I actually caught my pb on it would definitely recommend
