"Little" line that I forgot to add: - A little, I like it (ua-cam.com/video/Zcq7-tzgfCo/v-deo.html Nightfall ritual) Let me know if you found any 'little' lines uttered by Shadowheart that was absent in this video 😅
Like david tennant struggled with oo sounds on doctor who so the writer purposely made a whole episode that took place on the moon with aliens called judoon
To me her versions of 'little' all sound the same 😂 London or posh accent, I can't hear any difference. Jennifer is fantastic as SH. Throughout the game her fiesty nature gradually evolving into a sweet and caring person endeared her to me. Jen did an amazing job being her voice!
Two of my favs.I have a warm spot in my heart for them and for the fine Job Jen and the other voice actors did.Making this game supremely entertaining.
This is the best video I have been needing for a long time😊😊 Thanks. Even though I can't speak English but I can feel her 'littlle' sounds very cute. I love her voices. From Japan.
Same. I could barely hear the difference to begin with, but maybe that's because I just keep sighing happily whenever I can listen to Shadowheart speak. ;)
Basically with UK English accents, there's a bunch of different regional dialects that change the way you pronounce things, like with any regional dialect. It's just with, as Jenn says, "posh English accents" they make sure to say every syllable and pronounce every letter because not doing so makes you sound like a country bumpkin. Jenn is from Shropshire, which is further north of London. They speak differently than the "Received Pronunciation" which is the name for what people like the Queen would speak with.
Go look up an interview with James Marsters (Spike from Buffy) on the Dresden Files and his issue saying "little." It's easy to get tongue-tied reading it. While reading one of the books, he said, "this is a narrator's note for Jim (author), there are so many other words one can use besides 'little', like miniscule, small, tiny, diminutive, etc. How about we try some of those?" When the next book came in, "little" was used 12 times over a couple pages.
I don't think she pronounces it badly or in a way where you can't understand but you can tell she's really putting in the effort of enunciating it purposefully/clearly so that she doesn't trip over her own tongue while speaking. Hilarious.
I can barely tell the difference between pronunciations. But now I can't stop noticing that whenever Shadowheart says the word "little" she can't say more than 3 words after without needing to take a break.
Its a very subtle thing, to be fair. Shart speaks with Received Pronunciation. It's a very enunciation-heavy version of English that strips out 99% of colloquialisms and slang. It's immediately noticeable to most Brits because it's not a natural accent.
As an Australian I think what she’s doing is pronouncing EVERY letter in the word little like pronouncing the two ts together, whereas in Australia we would only pronounce one t
Reminds me of David Tennant having trouble with the sound "oon" when he was doing his English accent for Doctor Who (he's originally Scottish, for those who might not be aware). So the writers gave him the wonderful line "A platoon of Judoon upon the moon" aha!
@@DragonsDream I also think that the Judoon were specifically named to mess with him too, but I'm not so sure about that part. The fun fact about the line is 100% confirmed by the cast and crew though.
It’s very slightly different. Most people pronounce it “Litt-UL” when in reality it’s “Litt-LE” the first pronunciation that she uses elongates the word ever so slightly when the second cuts it off where it’s supposed to. It’s a VERY slight difference and there’s no shame in being unable to hear it right away
LITTLE...I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THE GAME CONTAINED THAT MANY LITTLE!! BUT I CANT EITHER HERE ANY DIFFERENCE FROM ONE LITTLE TO THE OTHER LITTLE?? MUST BE A ENGLISK/UK THING OR WHAT?? BUT AS I UNDERSTAND ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A LITTLE DIFFERENCE IN HOW THESE LITTLE SOUND(MUST BE A VERRY LITTLE DIFFERENCE!)? WELL JUST LOVE THE CHARACTERS IN THIS GAME,SO I HOPE I WILL SEE"HEAR" THEM SOON ENOUGH IN ANOTHR GAME!

Cute that the script writer became aware of it and purposefully gave her _(& Halsin)_ lines teasing her about it.
Like david tennant struggled with oo sounds on doctor who so the writer purposely made a whole episode that took place on the moon with aliens called judoon
@@Spider-Man_234 Don't forget the existence of the Ood!
her voice so calming
"Little" Shadowheart.
"She says 'little' instead of 'little'."
I don't hear a difference...
She pauses and puts too much emphasis on it.
she also says lit-el rather than lit-uhl
Her normal way of saying it is basically "littl"
Shadowheart speaks with a proper british accent, so the "e" isn't silent
Jennifer: can't spell correctly "little"
Devs: So, what if we add that word in every Shadowheart's line?
I cant unhear this now when i play 😂

It’s very cute imo😂
Jen is very cute, so adorable in interviews

As a not native English speaker, I can't really tell a difference乁[ᓀ˵▾˵ᓂ]ㄏ
I can’t tell a difference at all and I’ve spoken English my whole life
Not even a little difference?

Oh my goodness Shadowheart fits her character so much!
I don't think she pronounces it badly or in a way where you can't understand but you can tell she's really putting in the effort of enunciating it purposefully/clearly so that she doesn't trip over her own tongue while speaking. Hilarious.
She struggles a little, but she got it.
Morigan! :D My OG love.

Maybe it's just because of my Texan accent, but I don't hear that as mispronouncing it?

Omg. I never realised I said it the posh way. I find it hard to say it the other way! 😂
She's a little cutiepie
Why shop at ALDI when you can go to LIDL
Crazy how much she says “little”
As an Australian I think what she’s doing is pronouncing EVERY letter in the word little like pronouncing the two ts together, whereas in Australia we would only pronounce one t
I didn’t notice before now I can’t unhear it. Thanks, I hate it.
Littleshart ❤
adds more character

so she had.....a Little struggle :3
I don't understand. It sounds normal to me. What am I missing?
I don’t notice a damn difference either

Never understood how people do that with their Ts, my mum does it all the time. Sounds like they're replacing Ts with Ks.

And this my friends is how you write an amazing character. Ahem veilguard.. ahem.
I can hear the difference but I don't know why it doesn't fit.
