In the pure sense of the word improvised, meaning "unforseen" or "unexpected," Liquefaction is an improvisational musical group. Much like their spiritual forbears Last Exit, they create sonically-dense and chaotic soundscapes in real time, unprompted and without previous rehearsal.
While their sound favors the aleatory, the atonal and more often than not the psychedelic, their music is playful, brave, apt and almost unfailingly interesting to the ear.
